Lowe's

I love Lowes. I go there again. I probably go back tomorrow.

I chose the furnace that I have, numbers of factor of the performance of the furnace's heat pump. Did a good job at looking at our current furnace. Pointed out some things that needed changes. They came when they said, and on time. There was no issues, even though they did find an problem, and they fixed it with no extra charges. Not super happy with the price, but they did give me everything that they promised. I would give them another chance, but I would never purchase anything that large, without comparison.

This guy wanted to put R19 insulation on the attic. But even Lowe's website says that it should be atleast R30 in the attic. It seems he didn't understand that and even I didn't understand that why he wanted R19 when on their website it was R30. He gave me 3 prices. One for R19, one for R30 and another for something higher like R38 or something and all their prices were too high for blown insulation. I don't think they know what they were doing. So I just did it myself. I ended up in insulating for almost a 3rd less on his price for R30 blown insulation. I think his quote was 1300$ and I spent around 400$ to do it myself. So I do not think Lowe's in a good place to go if you want to insulate your house.

The value of the appliance was good. The quality is good, and I get military discount.

Lowe's always has what I need for the house. Prices are relatively good.

It took over four months and three correction orders where our two entry doors were sent back to be remade. Each time the installers came out stating the order was checked and rechecked at the store before setting a time up to come out to install. My spouse or myself took off work so we could be there while they were being installed and each time the doors were taken out of the box they were made incorrectly. When we called to speak with the install coordinator, Martha, she was rude and defensive and eventually evaded our calls. What a fiasco!! Eventually, because after 4 months of them not getting it right, we settled with one of the two doors not as we ordered. They gave us a small percentage of the cost of the doors back, which did not make up for the fact we have an entry door that is not what we ordered. It got to the point we just wanted to be done with Lowe's install department. The only redeeming quality of our experience were the actual gentlemen sent out to put our doors on. Josh (one of the installers) was always very kind, skillful, professional and apologetic. I hope they keep him around.
