Their workers were all undocumented and they were forced to fire them. The owner thought he and his son could manage the work themselves, which they couldn't. Without telling us they just stopped coming and doing the work while we were out of town. They did not call, email, or stop by - just didn't show up and do the work. I would not recommend Live Oak to anyone.

Called and left two messages regarding irrigation services but never got a call back.

They didn't communicate well with me. They removed my rose bushes without asking me whether I wanted to keep them and transfer them some where else. They just trashed them and I was not happy with them. They were also slow. They didn't put a weed barrier.

Live Oak was easy to work with and extremely competitive in their pricing. They did a very professional job in a timely manner. I will be using their services again to landscape the front yard this spring.

They did an incredible job. Everyone at the company was very helpful and and quick to respond to any questions. Our garden area looks amazing. We definitely recommend this company.

The work was done in 3 installments over 2-3 months and the quality was very good. Great service. We are very happy with the results. Communication and scheduling could be improved - we talked to one person and another person would do the scheduling and sometimes details and information would get lost due to miscommunication. The crew might show up on a day we weren't expecting them; but we understand that in this business some jobs need to be juggled and moved to a different day because of the weather. A bit on the pricey side, but we appreciate that they accepted the job. Our house is on a steep hill and just getting the materials up our driveway was a challenge.

We had a great experience with Live Oak from the beginning planning stages to our final product. Matt Lombardi and his team shared great ideas and options for us in the planning phases and we loved the plants they chose for our space. The Live Oak team that put our plan into action, which included grating, installing a sprinkler system, building a labor-intensive stack stone retaining wall and building beds, were on time and professional. We now have a gorgeous yard that we can't wait to watch grow and any work we decide to do in the future we will definitely use Live Oak.

Requested an estimate. Dusty came by that day, at the agreed upon time, and looked the property over, and made a recommendation for what we wanted done. He sent the estimate the next morning. In the end, I liked the proposal and price better for another provider. I am commenting here because I felt the company representative was the type of person I would do business with.

We just decided not to spend that much for the work. I was looking for something a little bit more imaginative and that was a communication problem partly on my part. I have no idea if their price was fair enough. It was just that we wanted to weigh out at that time. They got back to me with the quote and the original appointment was kept.

They have a detailed schedule. I wasn't happy that they didn't pull the weeds.

A week passed without word, after which we called the company. The same rep told us that he had submitted our project to the owner, but had yet to hear back from him. We again stressed the time-sensitive situation, and indicated that the drainage system had priority over everything else, if the company could please give us a quote for just the drainage system, we would worry about the rest later. This was acknowledged by the company. Three days later, another call was placed with similar results, still no quote, no timeline. Three months later, we have yet to hear from this very unreliable business. We never received word as to why they did not call us back, or any reason why they would not do our project. In short, they were a total waste of time. We had selected them based on the number of reviews on Angie's List, which has burned us before. We have since remedied the drainage issue ourselves but will certainly not be calling these guys for the large amount of landscaping that we have planned.

Job went well. Crew was pleasant and easy to deal with. Design work was well done.

They also installed a paverstone patio and sidewalk. Work was superb....price was very reasonable

We dealt with the owner of the company for the most part. Matt was very professional and I would recommend his company to anyone. He was always available when I had questions and the work was performed in a timely manner.

Issue closed after company contact.

It was an excellent service. The whole process was good- From the layout, to working with me on the price, to the final product. The collaboration was great and I know it took a lot of effort on their part. I want to thank Matt and his team. I would reccomend this company to anyone.

We hired Live Oak to landscape our backyard by adding a paver patio, a bench and planting beds. Dusty came out to talk to us initially and he was so nice and professional. He took our notes and gave us an estimate. The patio was an unusual shape that we had painted the outline of in the grass and they had no problem making our vision a reality. The young man, Luis, who laid our pavers and constructed our bench was such a perfectionist and we loved his work. Matt, the owner, was in frequent contact with us during the project letting us know what was next and getting our feedback. He was very professional as well. There were some delays getting our project completed, mostly due to weather but it was well worth the wait. I would definitely recommend Live Oak for landscaping projects and we plan to use them again.

Consistent high quality lawn maintenance services. Reasonably priced.

We have only been in our house for one year (the house was built in 2010). We wanted to dress up the backyard a bit; too much mulch/chip area, for example, and we had a good idea as to what we wanted to do but we still needed help in shaping our ideas and keeping within our means! We called Live Oak Landscaping LLC after an Angie's List search. We asked for a design consult and they came out they next day; They gave us great ideas. We wanted a paver walkway path through the chip area but before that we needed to address an issue with our large back patio. The patio had a crack extending from end to end; it was barely a hairline fracture type of a crack when we moved in last year but it had become noticeably wider so it made more sense to start with that project before the paver path area. Live Oak recommended paver stones over the existing concrete to minimize the expense (not to mention the upheaval) removing the existing patio would entail. The crew did a wonderful job on the patio. It took a week and I will admit that the project got delayed a number of times due to weather and project backups on Live Oak's end (most of which, we understand, were out of their control due to weather and other clients changing their projects that were in progress)... but the end result was quite lovely and we are very happy with the results (I'd post photos but don't see where I can do that here.) Matt Lombardi met with us several times to ensure the project was progressing according to plan and schedule. He also worked with us to come up with a plan that would fit our budget. Matt's team of men working on the project were professional, conscientious, courteous, and they were great about cleaning up everything at the end of each work day. We have a second phase of our yard project already on paper and we will be continuing to work with Live Oak Landscaping to accomplish that as well. In addition, Live Oak Landscaping is providing our weekly yard service and they are doing a much better job that our previous service.

I feel my experience with this company was terrible and will never use them again.

It's been a little slow getting started with Live Oak LLC. They provided a design and a quote for a patio/paver project for the backyard. I also began a yearly lawn maintenance service with them. While I have yet to see the patio project completed (it has not started yet) I write this review based on the lawn maintenance service that just started. A crew of three showed up today at noon and worked until nearly 4 o'clock on the yard; grass mowed, five bushes replanted, flower beds cleaned and trimmed, trees trimmed, lots of edging....the works. Fermen (one of the crew guys) asked questions for clarification when needed and even offered suggestions; He and his crew were very thorough. It's a large yard and it looks SO MUCH BETTER! I can't wait to see the patio project come together. I'll definitely post comments and photos once the project is complete. Until then, their lawn maintenance service is great and infinitely better than my previous service.

First actual service occurred on 6/12/2013 and that was mowing our lawn. They cut it shorter than I'm used to but they tell that long term it will look better this way. No grass cuttings were left on the lawn, and it actually looks quite good. Edging and trimming were also done and looks very good. Today (6/17/2013) they are installing the irrigation system and the crew seems very professional. They are being careful with the challenges in my yard. So far I am pleased.

They were very busy (I waited too late into spring to request estimates!) so it took a while to get started but the end result far exceeds my expectations. My yard looks wonderful now! I highly recommend their services to anyone interested in revamping or establishing landscaping.

All were a major improvement to our existing yard. Extremely happy with the end result!
