Shane had his men go up. He transferred all the pictures to his ipad and showed us exactly what needed to be done, step by step. He was a little more expensive, but we felt he was honest and told us everything that needed to be corrected instead of what needed to be fixed. You get what you pay for and he was worth it. He was excellent.

He did not give me a written proposal. He just gave me that verbal quote for $2250. I asked him to give me a business card. He had to go back to his truck to get one for me. I told him I would have to think about it before I made my decision. I DECIDED NOT TO USE THIS CONTRACTOR. I WANTED TO GET MORE QUOTES FROM OTHER CONTRACTORS. I appreciate his transparency. I was not impressed to say the least. Maybe he didn't want my business, just my money.

Love these guys...will be calling them again next phase of my project. We've lived in our home 23 years and finally decided to do some needed renovations. These guys showed up promptly every day of my remodel...ready to get the job done...and that they did. They removed paneling, wood beams from ceiling, scraped and reblowed my ceiling, also removed a fireplace, along with the entire wall where it was located..and replaced with french doors with sidelights. There was bad leakage around the fireplace that apparently had went undetected for quite a while...glad entire wall area got replaced. The french doors really opened up the space. This also included a landing/porch for my french doors that just really accented my doors from an outside view. The engineered wood flooring that was laid just set it all off... gorgeous...absolutely love it! David Sharp/ sales manager for LSC, was very helpful, knowledgeable throughout the entire process. Work was performed to fix water leaks, mitigate interior water damage to our home. An initial free assessment and estimate was provided and the work was accomplished within 1 week of the initial date. I find Lewis and Son to be extremely courteous, professional and reliable in their management and execution of jobs and have utilized them on several other occasions over the past 10 years.

We were very pleased with all aspects of the work which was started and completed as scheduled. The crew chief was on site 100% of the time and went out of his way to make the experience as enjoyable as is possible with all of the noise which accompanies roofing work. Clean up during and upon completion was exceptional.

They were good. They did quality work on the skylights but they did a lousy job on the chimney cap. It didn't even fit the chimney so we told them they had to come back and do it over again. It took them an extra 2 days because they had to resize the chimney and remake the whole chimney cap. Initially he told me that it was good and tried to convince me that it was okay. It was 3 inches over and I told him that one good gust of wind would take it right off. He came back to talk and we told him we wouldn't take it. He got back on the roof and resized it and it was fine. The skylights were $650 each and the chimney cap was $750. He gave me a $50 discount on the skylights because we were doing so much work. Realistically in the end they gave us a good product. They didn't argue the fact after we said we wouldn't take it. They did a good job when they came back. The price was decent and reasonable; it wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive.

This company did not reply after two or more requests from me, for their simple response on whether they were interested in my roofing job (or not).

This job is just one of many that Shane Lewis and his company have done for us over the last 20+ years. They have installed or repaired / replaced our roof at least three times due to storm damage and falling trees. The have fixed leaking skylights and replaced old ones with far superior products. They have also repaired our chimney when the original system failed. Most important to us is that Shane and his team do as they promise. They are prompt, professional and completely trustworthy. Shane's estimates are always reasonable and he always follows up to ensure that the job, big or small, was done correctly. One of the real joys of living in Madison for all of these years is finding capable, honest and reliable companies to work on one's house. Lewis and Son has been a really great company to work with and we would not think of calling anyone else for roofing related problems.

I have had leaks in the past that were not addressed properly. This was discussed with me in great detail and I understood what needed to be done to correct any problems. The workers were professional, prompt and within days I could not be more pleased.The end result is excellent. Also, there was no debris left anywhere. The area around my house was cleared and left as I desired. I recommed Lewis and Son Roofing to anyone who might be needing their services.

I knew Dave Sharp from previous work he had done for us. Never having done a bathroom repair like this, I felt comfortable he would tell me what I needed, but not upsell me. He provided me an estimate of what the work would cost, identifying what the possible issues could be that could cause the job to cost more or less so the cost was bounded very well. We discussed several options from simply repairing the shower pan and returning the bathroom to (near) original state, to removing a half-wall and using an insert. I decided to go with a complete remodel of the bathroom. Dave identified proposed fixtures to replace the ones in the bath. He took into account aesthetics, and sizes to make the new bathroom feel and give easier flow, critical due to the extremely small space we had to work with. Dave identified different options for fixture replacements and identified the costs and benefits of each, offered a recommendation and rationale. He was aware this would not be reimbursed by insurance, and I appreciated his attention to cost but also to value. The team that performed the work were by all accounts professional. I was on hand to let them in on the first day, and with the tenants' permission were free to work. They were polite and respectful and worked professionally. They took extra measures to ensure debris was not tracked in and to keep the debris and dust to the rooms they were working. My wife stopped by on occasions to observe progress and also remarked on their professional demeanor. Questions were answered professionally and on multiple occasions, my tenants reported that they were great. Although the tenants were inconvenienced due to the fact they 'lost' a bathroom during this remodel, they were consistently positive throughout--I credit this largely to the professionals that treated them and their home with respect. Due to a mix-up with Huntsville Utilities, on day one the power was turned off to the house by mistake. In under 30 minutes, the crew had a generator on-site and continued to work. I considered this to be just one example of the dedication they showed to getting the job done. On one day the crew was unable to show up because one of the crew was ill. Mr. Lewis, the company owner, personally called me to communicate this fact and to assure me the work would continue. I thought this proactive approach also reflected positively on this job. I also note the the list of tasks above did NOT include Haul of all trash and site clean up. I usually insist on this in the contract but forgot this time. Not a worry. All material was removed and the rooms were spotless and there was no need for either me or the tenants to pick up. In the end, I am no less than thrilled. The bathroom has been transformed. What was an old, small, dark and unremarkable bathroom is open, airy, sleek and functional. My tenants love it. Equally important, the value of the house has improved. I am so pleased with the work they did that I have contracted them again to fix a pipe burst and water damage due to the recent extreme cold.

Called and they came right out, inspected the roof, explained the cause and gave me a written quote. Very professional, personable and most of all, did what they said they would do. Especially appreciate the fact that they are fully insured to include workman's comp for their employees. They showed up on schedule, did the work and left the site just as they had found it.

We called Lewis and Son for the gutter job because we had a very good experience with them 5 years ago for a roofing job. I contacted them on their website and received a phone call within 2 days. All workers that we met were courteous and professional. The work was done to our satisfaction with no problems. When they were finished all debris was cleaned up and we could not tell they had been there. We would definitely use them again and have recommended them to others.

We have had a very positive experience with Lewis and Sons. From the estimate to the completed work it was an A+ experience. The skylights look wonderful- I couldn't be happier! Also, today as we were continuing our new dry wall, we found a small leak in the roof- not involving the skylights. I called Lewis and Sons to ask if they could come and look at it . Jeff from Lewis and Sons came out and determined the problem. He did a temporary fix at no charge as it was starting to rain and we didn't want to have anymore water coming in. It will have to have a more permanent fix in the future. Jeff went over our roof and inspected it at no charge as well. We are very impressed with this company and will call them again in the future with any needs we have on the house. Also, the price was very reasonable on the skylights. They are the top of the line skylights as well. The room looks like a new room with all the light coming through the skylights.

They worked really hard and did a great job. They showed up every day on time and worked hard the whole day. They cleaned up after themselves and left the yard looking the same as it did before they came in. It turned out better than we had even imagined. We would definitely use them again in the future.

He quoted me a price based on the fact that we were neighbors he was giving me a deal at $225.00. It was a very small job, all we needed was to have a 6and quot; piece of aluminum angle at the corner of the facial wrap replaced. Thinking that it needed done asap because rain was leaking in behind the flashing I said okay. He said he would have someone out in a couple of days. No one ever showed up. So I called another roofing contractor.

Let's just say that I wish I would have contacted Lewis and Son Roofing from the outset. My house was built in 2010 so one would not expect to have leaks in such a new home. However, during one of the heavy rains approximately three weeks ago I found a good size puddle of water in my downstairs great room. I called the guy that installed my roof gutters (not an Angie's List provider) and he came out and and quot;fixed itand quot; with admittedly a band-aid solution because it was a Sunday. Three days later that guy returned with the materials to and quot;permanently fixand quot; the leak which was along the flashing on the backside of the house. His crew said they and quot;fixed it.and quot; These guys not only left roof tiles in the gutter after their job was and quot;completeand quot; but they left roofing material and equipment on my lawn while they were doing the work and it killed the grass in those areas. A week later it rained again and...yes...you guessed it....they roof leaked in the exact same spot. Up to that point I had shelled out just over $800. Needless to say I was very upset. This time I went on Angie's List. I called my real estate agent as well to ask who she could recommend and she provided a few names, both of which were on Angie's list. I called Lewis and Sons because they did not have an and quot;F' rating anywhere in their reviews and I am glad i did. David Sharp responded to my call immediately (and, he responded quickly to email correspondence); within two hours David was at my house diagnosing the problem. The other roof guy had only addressed a short, 2 ft. section of the flashing as the problem whereas David was able to quickly assess a much longer section. David also looked at the entire roof and found another problem that would need to be addressed before winter. He also went one step further and went into our crawl space in an effort to determine if there was moisture build up there that may be causing some of the mildew smell in parts of our house. David gave me a quote for the work and said: and quot;I guarantee we can fix this problem and if not we will fix it at no additional charge until you are satisfied.and quot; I liked that guarantee! The crew was out the next day and started work. They found multiple points of leakage! They were professional and courteous and did not leave debris in the yard as they worked. Because weather was a factor that day they had to return the follow morning to complete the job. We did have a heavy downpour later that evening and....NO LEAKS! Hooray! We definitely will call on Lewis and Son to fix our other roof issue and for any future roof issues as well!

They are a well recognized in our area. They are very good people and they do great work.

Lewis and Son's the best contractor I've ever worked with. The siding crew, the roofing crew, the painting crew are all first-class professionals. Everything Shane Lewis promised to do was done and more. This was a big job (at least to me). The workmen came at 7 and worked until 4 every day (which impressed my neighbors). The crew's were courteous. They knew what they were doing and did it. I am so pleased with this company and it's work. They are first-class. They use the best products and their empoloyees are first-class. As a famous TV contractor say and quot;They do it right!

The work and the guy who came were great. Everything worked out well and we are happy about it. I will highly recommend them. They were quick, polite and they cleaned up their mess when they left.

Excellent. Quick response saved interior of home from further damage. Very courteous staff. Skilled workmen. This is the 3rd job performed for us. We'll always go back if needed.

Overall we were very satisfied with price, work performed and calibur of people. Believe they stand on their word without question.

Received auto response on March 14, 2013 that stated the roofers appreciated the opportunity to service me and a member of their Customer Service Department will contact me shortly. After waiting two weeks for someone to contact me, I hired another roofer.
