Way back in 1884, Hall C and J.W. Blake started our company with two men, a horse and a wagon, and the idea that good service at a reasonable price would be the basis for a successful business venture, THEY WERE RIGHT! Today we strive to keep the same standard of care with our customers as we did in 1884 and hope to continue another 130 years serving this and the surrounding communities!

Description of Work: Replaced our hot water heater and the outside temperature regulator.
Description of Work: For a water heater replacement they only offered a 6 month warranty and at more than a $300 higher price. I used Home Depot for purchase and installation, got the 12 month warranty I wanted and paid $300 less. I don't believe you listed Home Depot as a suggestion.

Description of Work: They did repair work on my mother's aging house to make it eligible for a bank loan. They did good work and they did it on time. I had used them before. They did improvements on our (also aging) community pool. Allowing it to pass electrical inspections.

Description of Work: Called them to diagnose what appeared to be an active interior water leak. they arrived on time, and within ~15 minutes had determined that the problem was actually a faulty roof cap allowing water to seep into our laundry room. Although they did actual work climbing around trying to find the leak, they did not charge me, which was a pleasant surprise. They were also very patient and professional and took the time to explain the issue in detail. | |Of course, now I need a roofer instead of a plumber.

Description of Work: called on tuesday 8/28/12 was told they would come out on wed 8/29/12. asked them to call before coming out. no call ,but they came Fri morning 8/31/12. we were pretty sure we needed a popoff valve for the hot water heater that was located in the corner of the laundry room.(not a closet). He was there less than 1 hour ,screwed in the valve,re attached the overflow drain,& proceeded to tell us of other plumbing problems that we might have. For this we paid $237.88( including a diagnostic fee of &79.00).In hindsight I thought this a bit much. Prior to leaving he went to several neighbours houses to put out Advertising flyers.I guess I paid for the diagnosis of other potential problems & for him to advertise in the neighbourhood.

Went better than expected. I had my lawn watering system marked which cost me $75 from Water Works :( HCBlake was able to trench around the watering/sprinkler system to install the new main. They left the old main in the ground and routed the replaced plumbing to the new main. The dirt fill-in work was left a little rough on day 1 so the next day, the crew smoothed the dirt, better, swept the walkway and removed the grass that was in pieces from the trenching. Some grass loss just could not be helped because I should have had the main replaced before a lawn watering/sprinkler system was ever installed. I was better pleased with the clean-up when it was re-done on day 2. I will need to go to a nursery to buy some zoysia grass to patch but I am fine with that and can do the work myself with the help of my sprinkler system and rain! This project made me nervous but once it was done I was relieved and so glad I chose a big, professional company. Mr. Batson took my project AND my apprehension seriously and advised me, appropriately. He sent the quote to my email address which was helpful to refer back to. He described the scope of work effectively so I knew what to expect.
Description of Work: Whole house plumbing replacement of Galvanized pipes more than 40+ years old. They trenched the yard, replaced the main bringing city water into the house, replaced all galvanized pipes with Pex (a more freeze proof PVC material) insulated the pipes, filled the trench, and cleaned-up work area, removing all old material for $4075. Mr. Batson had given me a $50 off coupon at a Home Show. So I paid $4025.00 for the job. I had water the first day of work but it was a two day job. They finished in one 8-hour day plus one 6-hour day.

It wasn't a big job, but it was kind of on an emergency basis. I have used them twice. I called them in the morning and they showed up on the same day and fixed the problem.
Description of Work: I used HC Blake Co. to install a pipe in the front yard.
