We were on vacation and Garden of Eden Florist decided to leave our gift basket from my Mother in law with a neighbor. After a few days the neighbor returned the gift basket to Garden of Eden Florist. When we returned they refused to deliver and did not provide an order number so I could follow-up with my Mother in law. They were not friendly and totally unprofessional. My mother in law suffers from medical issues and while we did follow-up with her she may not be able to follow up with either the florist she used in New York to place the order or have the credit card company cancel the order and refund her money. I plan to file a compliant with the Better Business Bureau and go on social media so other individuals in the Huntsville area do not do business with them.
Description of Work: Take an order from my mother in law to deliver a gift basket to us.

We did not take an order from his Mother in law. We took an order from a florist in NY. They took an order from his Mom,who placed the order for a fruit basket knowing that the couple were on vacation,but wanted it delivered on requested date anyways. Our fruit baskets are made fresh upon every order,therefore we are not able to just leave the outside when a customer is not at home. When they were not home we left the fruit basket with a neighbor,thinking since the Mom has purchased it they were at work and would receive the order later,we left a message on their machine and tagged their mailbox. Three days later the neighbors brought it back. At this point we had to consult with the original shop with whom the Mother placed her order with,we were told to wait until the shop in NY called us again and not to re-deliver. On the following Monday,5 days after order was delivered,Mr Huron called demanding an order number which we did not have as we were not the original receiving shop. Although the fruit basket was ruined,we offered to remake the fruit basket at our expense and asked him when he could pick it up,he became rude and said he would speak with his wife about it and call us back. We did not hear back from him and were told by the shop in NY to remake and deliver the order. We did remake and redeliver the order 8days after the original order was delivered.They were not home again,so at this point the only option we had was to leave it on their doorstep and call,which we have many times to confirm that it was received by them and we have not gotten an answer nor a call to confirm. We strive in making every effort to satisfy our customers 100%, we went above and beyond to make every effort for Mr. Huron to be satisfied. We are out of pocket costs and our name has been slandered as we were not the shop able to make the final decision where his order was concerned,and we were not able to give his Mother in law a refund either as we were just the middle man.

I realized it was Mom's birthday at 3:00 PM and started calling florists to get flowers there that day. I was too late, trucks were already out on their final run of the day for almost every Huntsville florist I called. I called the Garden of Eden florists who was within 5 miles of the delivery address. They made a special effort to help select the right arrangement and got them there soon after. Saved by the bell. I never saw the flowers since I don't live in Huntsville however Mom said they were gorgeous and she is honest to a fault about things like that. So, Garden of Eden Florists is now and quot;my new best friendand quot;.
