Bunn's & Bennett Heating & Air Conditioning

We had two HVAC units installed with Bunns and Bennett led by Jeff and Tyler. To say they were exceptional would be an understatement. Jeff walked me through the pros and cons of replacing our units and also offered alternative repairs that could be made. Ultimately, we decided to have both of our units replaced. The day of the installation the crew was prompt, clean and very respectful. If you're looking for an honest and hardworking crew don’t hesitate to go with Jeff at B&B.

Competitively priced with above average labor warranty. In addition to replacing existing HVAC system other duct work issues were resolved and heat pump was relocated to a less obtrusive location. Knowledgeable and honest sales person. Experienced, courteous and punctual technicians. Work area was kept neat and clean. Completely satisfied and would recommend without hesitation.

They were on time and professional throughout the whole process. They cleaned up after themselves and were very courteous. I am extremely comfortable that out of the three estimates we received that we made the best choice in choosing Bunn's and Bennett.

Price was fine. The only complaint I have is that they will try to get to you and have them come out more often than they need to come out.

The young technician sent out did not even start up the system. He only connected the freon gauge, told us we were low on freon, and then tried to tell us we needed to replace the whole system and tried to sell us one. We called another company for a second opinion and their technician powered up the unit, found that the cooling coils were dirty, causing the drop in freon pressure. He quickly identified the problem as a defective contactor, which he replaced. Cost was only $80.

They were on time and they did what they said they were going to do. They also did a few things they didn’t have to do, so I was very happy with them.

Having used this company before, we didn't hesitate calling them again. Mary scheduled the technician for the same day. The existing unit needed to be replaced rather than repaired, as we suspected, so we discussed the options with Cain. The unit recommended was accepted and installation was performed the following day. Existing ducts were replaced shortly thereafter. All work performed by the team (Cain, Brian, Gene and Chris) was done expeditiously, professionally, and neatly. The new unit works perfectly. It's a pleasure to do business with this company.

Bunn's was extremely responsive. Estimates were quickly done. The office staff was efficient and the employees showed up, slightly ahead of schedule! The employees were fast, efficient and cleaned up the repairs very well. Bunn's has always been a well run, highly efficient company. I have used them for repairs to ducting, HVAC units and a complete replacement. Highly recommended.

Two weeks prior our downstairs central air unit died. Bunns came out that day, helped us select an appropriate model, and installed two days later (it was the weekend and the unit we selected had to be delivered from out of town). They showed up on time, worked hard through the day, were VERY professional, and did an outstanding job. This week our blower to the upstairs unit went out. Again they showed up that very day, and installed a replacement the very nest day. I've used other services in the past, and Bunns is head and shoulders above. One caveat: They are not cheap, but I would say they are not the most expensive. To me, it was worth the extra cost in exchange for the quality of service.

They provided a lot of options. The tech, Cain, was super helpful. The installation people were courteous and professional. Great experience, considering that nobody wants to go through this.

Very well! . They are so nice and clean. The units are working well. The work was done very professionally. I just love what they did to make it work and keep my house still looking good! I am having them work on the other side of the house now.

Service guy was at my house within 2 hours of my initial contact which is very important when your A/C is out in July. He identified the problem, quoted a price for fixing it and had it fixed (part was in his truck) all in under an hour. So grateful and would not hesitate to use them again.

Our aging 3-ton heat pump had been doing a poor job of keeping us cool in the summer and warm in the winter for the last couple years, so we decided to replace it with a gas pack unit (central air with gas heat) this summer. After perusing the reviews on Angie?s List, we selected three contractors to solicit bids from and of the three, chose to go with Bunn?s & Bennett. Mr. Bunn was right on time for the appointment and after looking over our existing heat pump and duct work, recommend that we stay with a 3-ton unit, but add a supply register in the living room; and then took the time to explain the different options available to us. The installation was uneventful, Chris and JW showed up on time and did a great job removing the old unit and installing the new one. Both were professional, friendly, and more than happy to answer my questions. Brian and his crew stopped by early in the afternoon to help finish up. All debris was cleaned up from the job site and the yard looked as good as it had prior to the work. Start to finish the installation took about six hours. I requested and received copies of the permits for my records. Bunn?s and Bennett honored their 5% off coupon for Angie?s List members and included 10 years labor on any warranty repairs for the unit. I also purchased a one year/2 visit service agreement for $139.

The owner came to my home and gave me an estimate for the service. On the agreed upon day, three service men came to perform the work. Two of them were friendly, polite, respectful, and careful to wipe their feet when entering my home each time. One of them did not wipe his feet, and tracked wetness into my hallway a few times. Hence, my rating of B for professionalism All work was performed in a timely manner. When I checked the unit, there was a small dent in the top. Very small. When the owner came the next day to receive payment, I showed it to him. He immediately offered to replace the top of the unit, or even the entire unit, if I wanted. I requested that the top be replaced, and this was done within about two weeks. I also signed a service contract for the company to check and service the unit twice a year. When they recently did this, apparently the serviceman discovered that the fan was slightly bent. He immediately ordered a new one and replaced it at no cost to me. He was friendly, helpful, and respectful. (I was not even aware the fan was bent). My unit worked wonderfully all last summer, and through the recent very cold winter. My old unit was very old, even so, I was shocked to experience at least a $100 per month decrease in my utility bill since purchasing my new unit. I think Bunn's and Bennett is a fine company, and definitely recommend them with no reservations!

Mr. Bunns himself provided the estimate. He was punctual, pleasant, and professional. His bid compared favorably with the others we'd received. The crew arrived promptly as scheduled. They were clean and neat, pleasant and industrious. They used tarps to protect carpeting and even requested a vacuum to assure that everything was left spic and span. Workers removed their shoes in order to keep things clean. The job was finished in one day with the crew working hard. Everything was installed as promised and tested satisfactorily. Instructions were given for the thermostat use. It was a smooth project.

Bunns & Bennett installed a completely new system and ductwork in our house. We chose them because the price was in the middle range of our quotes, they were located close by, and we agreed on the tonnage for our system. They finished work in two days with an attic install for our ductwork and overall we've been happy. Our system seems to work within parameters and we figured out most of the functions on the thermostat by reading the manual they left. The crew didn't clean up after themselves, and having never done this work before I did not realize what a mess would be left behind. There were scuff marks on the walls from ladders and insulation and dust in the rooms covering everything. In the future I would recommend to homeowners to throw sheets on your belongings beforehand to control the dust. It wasn't too bad and we got most of the leftover metal in the yard up. The only problems I've had didn't reveal until recently, when I tore out walls in my kitchen and saw they ran the wiring through a portion of wall that I planned to sheetrock, so now I'll have to build a soffit to cover it or have a weird bumped out square. Again, not something I could have anticipated. The city framing inspector noticed it and remarked that we hadn't pulled a mechanical permit for the HVAC installation. Again, I was surprised. I guess I never specifically requested to see a permit pulled, but I assumed a licensed company would have pulled a permit and gotten a city inspection for their work.

We found that the backup heat strips apparently were not coming on when needed; the system was running all the time when the temperature was below freezing, and it was very difficult to maintain the desired temperature. We had purchased an extended 10-year warranty. It's one of the smartest purchases I can recall. The warranty work included new wiring harness, a new thermostat, and additional repairs over two visits. Bunn's and Bennett's staff worked conscientiously and persistently to make sure that we were satisfied with the unit's performance, and they replaced whatever parts were necessary. Because we have the extended warranty, we were not charged a penny for parts or labor. (We do maintain a regular service contract.) The unit now works much better than it did prior to the repairs. Bunn's and Bennett is consistently punctual, efficient, and professional. We could have bought a less expensive unit, but I don't think we would be as satisfied as we are now.

Went well, the technician came out to the site and made an assessment. Determined that the old system needed replacing. I was given options and the unit was replaced in a timely manner. My receipt of service was mailed to me. The receptionist was very helpful.

I called after finding them here on Angie's list and my first impression with their secretary is that I was bothering her. She was not informative and it was like I had to pull answers from her. She was not pleasant in the least, almost snobbish. Anyway she got right to the point of the cost and said it would be $69 just to come out and look at my unit and ducts but that they will not do anything with the ducts....hmmm so then she said the earliest the could come would be the next day in the evening but would not even give me a proximate time, even after I told her I had a phone conference between 2-4; She acted as though didn't care. So after hanging up I looked over their reviews and noticed that actually it is posted that they do free estimates so I called back and ask why I was being charged and the same unpleasant secretary said that free estimate was for assessing for a new unit, hmmm well then why doesn't it say so that is very misleading so knowing that in the past I have dealt with contractors that were not fourth-rite I had a strong gut feeling to cancel and go with someone else which, by they way; I called Aire Serv. I was greatly pleased with their professionalism. And their secretary; very knowledgable about the business and what they do, very courteous and pleasant. Their techs were courteous and professional and did not even charge me to go into our crawl space assess the ducts, crawl space and unit. The tech spent time going over was the issue was as well even recommended me to a business that would treat our issue. Now that is how business is done, the good ol' American way!

Absolutely great! Best experience I've had with heat and a/c company in a long time! Very fair price on new system (I got other quotes) and extremely courteous, knowledgeable, punctual staff. My questions were answered completely and simply. (I have some hvac training myself, so I am able to discern whether I'm being told the truth.) They arrived at the promised time, on both occasions. Were very neat and tidy, removing or covering their shoes when entering the living spaces. Very pleased and plan on using Bunn's & Bennett from now on.

My brand new packaged heat pump system, installed by Bunn's and Bennett, was cooling very well and responding to thermostat settings, except that the indoor blower was running continuously on low speed regardless of inputs (while the compressor was not in operation), even when the system was turned off. (Such unnecessary circulation can cause an upset in humidity control under humid atmospheric conditions.) At 7 am (their start of business), I called Mr. Bunn and asked for help with this. His serviceman arrived within 45 minutes and, within 15 minutes more, he had diagnosed and corrected the problem... all fixed within one hour of my call! The problem was a short circuit in the thermostat cable in the wall, behind the thermostat, a problem not obvious to casual inspection, and about as hard to find as an intermittent electrical issue. (This cable had been installed in 1974 by another contractor.) Both the installation and, especially, this repair, were executed very professionally and with exceptional alacrity. I was astonished by the promptness and the no-fuss service provided by Bunn's and Bennett!

Excellent response in both rendering an estimate and performing the work. Bunn's and Benntt could not have been move prompt, cooperative, helpful and professional.

Overall excellent. I fielded 3 bids and Bunn & Bennett gave the best price (normally I don't always go with the lowest price, however, researched them at BBB website.) This organization was very professional, fast and did a quality job. The quote was roughly 50% of the other quotes and they had full interest free financing!
