Description of Work: Our heat pump was in the backup heat mode more than I thought it should be. Called them to check it out. Their tech told me the unit was very low on Freon, had a major leak, and would cost several hundred to fill it, and then it would only last a week or so. Said we needed a new unit. Their sales person gave us an estimate, We also called Conditioned Aire. They gave us an estimate, but said they wanted to check out the old unit for free. Turns out the unit had caps off both valves and was just a little low. Conditioned Aire filled it for free and came back a week later to check on it. It is good now.

Description of Work: They performed the annual maintenance on the HVAC system I purchased from the company 6 years before.

Description of Work: This company came to our house to repair our upstairs a/c unit two years ago. They installed a new coil for ~$2,000 and told me this was the last coil available for this unit in all of Alabama (?). The technician complained about everything; the heat in the attic, how we should be getting a new unit, the stairs to the attic, etc. They left the old coil in the attic. We have just had three others a/c companies come out to give us an estimate to replace our downstairs unit. After the techs came down from the attic, both mentioned that the reason we were having problems with the upstairs unit, in spite of a new coil and no leaks, is that they found several areas in the duct work where the tape had come loose and there were large gaps where we were both blowing cold air into the attic and pulling in attic air into the handler. I was shocked that ACC had been in the attic on three different days and never once checked for something like this.

Description of Work: Requested estimate for replacing heating/air systems. Although we selected a differenct vendor, this vendor was responsive and the estimate close in value to our choice.
