The owner was generally punctual and performed the work he said he would do. He was willing to work with me and had some helpful suggestions. There were a several small issues that caused me to give him a B on workmanship. - He dug the footers much larger than called out in the plans. - He made the concrete thicker than called out in the plan. - There were 4 rather large patches of cement that flaked off a few days after it cured. These patches were about 12 inches across and did not affect the function but left some very rough patches of cement that looked bad and tend to collect dirt. He sent someone out to repair them but his worker only repaired one of the 4 patches. The owner refused to send him back out to fix the others claiming that I had done something to mess up his repairs. I ended up making the repairs myself. The extra size on the footers and extra thick slab are stronger but I really did not need the extra strength and it ended up costing me about double for concrete.
Description of Work: Alabama backhoe dug footers and formed and poured a 40'x40' concrete slab in preparation for installation of a prefabricated metal building. They also set out wire and re-bar.

I called Terry after seeing a driveway he had poured. He set up an appointment and arrived on time. He gave me a quote for his work, with a quote for the cost of the concrete and a quote for the cost of the pump truck. He gave me a time he and his crew would arrive to frame the job. They were on time and were excellent, hard workers. The concrete truck arrived on time, but the pump truck was a mess, so Terry's crew had to wheelbarrow 9 yard of concrete across the back yard. They did it fast, without complaining and did excellent work. Since we saved on the pump truck, we gave the crew the extra cash. Well worth it. My patio looks amazing. I would hire Terry to do ANY concrete work at my home and recommend him to friends - and I heard he is working with recycled glass in concrete too.
Description of Work: Poured a concrete patio with pea gravel
