water heater repair
+ -1 moreI will never use another plumber. Parker Plumbing gave me incredible service today. My water heater died this afternoon, and I was having a large group for dinner. Ben Parker and his assistant worked into the evening replacing my water heater so that I would have hot water to wash my dishes. Their workmanship is excellent, and I could not ask for greater responsiveness.

Description of Work: Parker plumbing and gas replaced all plumbing lines in my 90 year old house after 2 other companies refused the job due to hard to reach spaces. They are polite, professional, attentive to detail (ex a sink cabinet was installed that was slightly off the original measurements making the wall mounted faucet slightly off center with the drain - just slightly off - they immediately moved the faucet so it was centered which took some trouble). Respond quickly to questions. Great to work with. Shortly after moving into the house the sewer line to the street clogged due to roots in the line - they came out within a couple of hours of my call, cleared the line and gave me options for fixing that were well below what I expected the cost would be.

+ -1 moreParker worked on the same faucet a year earlier for a dripping problem. After checking to make sure the incoming water pressure was okay, the guy from Parker replaced the washer and fixed the drip. Then he called the office and came back and told me there was no charge because they had worked on that sink faucet the previous year. Now, I don't know if that is going to be everyone's experience with Parker's Plumbing and Gas, but I do know — I will never use anyone but them for any and all future plumbing needs. What a pleasure it is to do business with a company who has the highest integrity. This is the ONLY plumbing company to use!

+ -1 moreThe work went well. Two men arrived on time. It took the two men to lift the old water heater down through a pull-down ladder and pull the new one back up the same ladder. The work was in a hot cramped space. The work was completed on time and all works perfectly.
Description of Work: Replaced a gas hot water heater. Water heater is in a very hard to get to attic.

Description of Work: In fixing bathroom sink that would not drain, he found that the cast iron pipe from the drain to the main line in the basement was nearly completely occluded and we agreed that it should be replaced.

+ -1 moreVery well. Was prompt, neat, professional and very competent. Plumber and helper spent over two hours replacing about $90.00 worth of parts. Was well worth the cost and I will definately call them again.
Description of Work: Stopped dripping shower head where 35 year old cut off valves wouldn't work, replaced defective cut off valve and leaking pop-off valve on water heater and installed expansion tank to absorb excess pressure. Checked water pressure on house water lines.

+ -1 moreOur shower was clogged up. It would not drain for anyone else to use it. We got real fast service, the plumber came right out. He had the job done in less than an hour. We have not had it clog up again. I think he got it completely clear.
Description of Work: I had a clogged up shower drain in my bathroom. The plumber used a pipe snake device to get through what ever was causing the problem.

+ -1 moreI do not know what I had paid but, they really went beyond what was needed. There was a leak coming from a Jacuzzi tub. He had it fixed in about an hour. He worked on the drain pipes. He also asked if there were any other leaks and inspected all the washers on the faucets. He showed me how easy it is to change a washer out. I really appreciated being shown that. Allot of women do not realize they can fix stuff on their own.
Description of Work: I needed a leak fixed in a Jacuzzi tub.
