Cancelled morning of move. Had additional truck rented for $400. Stated they would call back. I had to call back and no apology much less offer some sort of discount for costs incurred due to them cancelling. Hung up on me. Originally quoted much less than the day before they called and added more travel time, shrink wrapping furniture though they use pads, etc. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Darius is the rudest individual I have ever encountered in any service industry.

This was a terrible decision and I wouldn't recommend for any move. We have moved TN to WV, WV to Denver, Denver back to WV, WV to Birmingham. Never had any issues w those 4 moves. Move 30 miles w AMS and they lost brand new Xmas gifts, broke multiple items, put our clothes' from closet folded in half and stuffed in boxes, broke leg off 45 YO cherry dresser, just threw items in boxes, left items at house, did not move everything, etc. Pics available if you want to see proof. Next day different crew unloaded wo a hitch. When they first opened door items started falling out from poorly loaded truck. NEVER again!!! I hope I can keep some folks from using this company because if you get the same crew, watch out. Their insurance paid us a grand total of $259 for over $1000 in damages proven in pics. Be aware of reviews on here as they appeared decent to work with. Regards, Dennis. UPDATED AS OF 04/01/22: Terrible. This is an addon comment to my original review of 2/14/22. We have found at least anther $1000 worth of items missing. I sure hope folks take this warning serious. Regards, Dennis.

For moving we used All My Sons Moving and they are located in Birmingham Alabama. There were 3 people when they moved. They took from about 4 o'clock in the afternoon to probably about 9 o'clock at night. Overall I would grade them a 'D' because the approximate they gave me over the phone was not near it when they finished.

They were on time, very professional ,reasonable price, taking extra care with belongings. Nothing was broken, scratched, etc. This was the easiest move Ive ever made from first call to last call. Follow-up was fantastic and ease of payment. But the best part of the move was the upbeat, energetic, friendly guys that moved us. They almost made the move fun!

My experience with all My son's moving company was terrible. The movers worse slow, unprofessional, and stole several items during the move. It turned out that the mover that stole the items had previously done a year in prison for theft and was on parole at the time that all my son's hired him. I contacted all my son's repeatedly to try to get them to compensate me for the items stolen and for my experience but they have refused to fully compensate me. My experience is below. My fiancé and I were very excited to move into our new house together. We had each sold our separate houses and the time had come to find a moving company. We called several moving companies around the Birmingham area and settled on all my son's moving after talking to Earnest who identified himself as a manager there. He told us he would have 4 movers work with us for $175 per hour. He stated that all of his MEN well-trained professionals who would "not be talking on their cell phones" and who were efficient and fast. He stated that all my son's was a family company and they took pride in making sure they're customers were satisfied. We moved on July 26, 2014. The four movers showed up on time and began working. One of the movers commented to the other 3, "so how do you normally start?" Which made me think that he did not have experience in moving but nonetheless the move started out well. It took a little over 2 hours to load the truck with my home contents (3 bedroom, 2 bath). Then, things deteriorated. We drove to our new house to drop off several items before going to my fiancé's house. At this time I noticed that 2 of the movers began talking on their cell phones while they were moving. One had a headset and and was fielding calls regularly and the other was on and off of his phone. Their work efficiency slowed down tremendously. We moved to my fiancé's condo and started loading her items. I noticed that the movers were moving even more slowly and so I began moving items as well in an attempt to speed them up. I asked them on several occasions to speed up but this did not happen. One of the movers began smoking cigarettes while moving her furniture and laid down on one of our nice chairs for a break despite being very sweaty. It was obvious to me at this point that they were not acting professionally. Then, my fiancé and I look down the hall and saw them pushing a box spring mattress along the wooden floor and we quickly ran over and asked them to stop in to pick it up while moving it but it was too late - the wooden floor now had several deep scratches. After several more hours we finally got to her new house. When they unloaded our dining room table we then noticed that there was a large gouge out of the table and one of the chairs had been completely broken in half. One of the movers suggested just using gorilla glue to put it back together but another mover gave us a claim form to fill out. When they were unloading a dresser full of clothes out of the truck they dropped the dresser from the back of the truck onto the street. Luckily the dresser fell into a giant pile of furniture pads so the dresser wasn't hurt.. All in all the move took 10 hours when I think the move could have been done and much less time (perhaps 7 hours) if the movers had been efficient and worked hard the entire time. If they had simply not been on their cell phones and talking and distracted I believe this would have saved at least an hour. At this point we were very dissatisfied but exhausted after removing all day long and paid the company $2000 and thought our bad experience was over. Shortly after though my fiancé realized that her diamond earrings and bracelet were no longer in her jewelry box. I then called our local all my son's moving company to complain about our experience. I spoke with the manager Frank and told him about are terrible experience and the missing jewelry. Frank told us to put the missing jewelry items on the claim form and he stated he would refund $200 to my credit card in exchange for our terrible experience. At this point I was disgusted that he would offer me such a small sum of money in exchange for what we went through, but asked him to refund the $200 and hoped that the claims department would reimburse as for the other items. Several days later she also noticed that her watch was missing as well. We had already turned in the claim form so we called the national office to add the watch to the claim form. They tried to dissuade us from adding the watch and stated "sometimes things happen in moves." We nonetheless added the watch We then called the Homewood Police Department to file a police report. The police sergeant took our information and contacted all my son's moving company and requested the names addresses and phone numbers of the 4 movers that we had. The police sergeant told me that despite 2 calls to all my son's that they would only release the names of the movers but would not cooperate any further with any other information despite him asking multiple times. Luckily, the Sergeant found that one of our movers had sold a set of diamond earrings and a diamond bracelet at a local pawn shop. He went to the pawn shop and sent us pictures of the diamond earrings and they were in fact ours. He was unable to get the diamond bracelet since the pawn shop had already sold it before he could get it back. The police sergeant contacted the mover who stole our property and he confessed to stealing the "diamond bracelet and earrings". He however did not confessed to stealing the watch. The police sergeant told me that the mover who stole her property should have never been hired by the moving company. He stated he had a long criminal history of theft and drug arrests. He told me that he had done a year in prison for theft of property and drug convictions previously. The mover was actually on parole at the time that the moving company hired him. I then called the local all my son's moving company to tell them that the person they hired to move my personal items was a convicted felon who had been convicted for theft multiple times in the past. I called and spoke with the manager, Carey. He stated he would look into my case and call me back later that day. I never received a call back. I call them 2 days later and spoke with a different manager and he assured me that Carey would call me back later that day. I never received a call back. I then called back 2 days later and spoke with a different manager. At this point I asked to speak to the owner since I could not get a return phone call from the manager. I was told that someone would call me later that day with the owners contact information. I never received a call back. Several days later, Ashley Hudnall from the national all my son's corporate office called my fiancé. She offered us $1000 refund in exchange for our experience. My fiancé informed her that the stolen diamond bracelet alone was worth $1800 the table work $500 a floor repair cost us to $200 and that we were asking for a refund of the $2000 that we had spent on the move. She assured us that she would get back with us and with a more appropriate offer. She sent an email back offering $2,000 and when we informed her that we were out $4500 for the experience (not including the watch which is stilling missing and was appraised for $4800) she offered us to $2,500. I called and spoke with Ashley. I reminded her that on the all my son's website it states "Our men are skilled movers that treat your belongings as their own. " If further states that all my son's is rated #1 in customer satisfaction. She told me that $2500 was the most that she could offer me. She stated that if I wanted full compensation at $4500 it would have to go through their insurance department and this would take months and they would send me lots and lots of paperwork which would take up a lot of my time to complete. Furthermore, she sent me a confidentiality agreement to sign which stated that I would not tell anyone about my experience with all my son's moving. I told her that I wanted to make sure that they had safeguards in place that this did not happen to future customers. She told me that they had not done a background check on the move her that stole my items. She stated this was a mistake and an isolated incident and had been corrected. However I knew this was not an isolated incident because the Sergeant investigating my case stated that he had 2 other open investigations of all my son's for theft of items stolen during the move. At this point I am extremely frustrated because I hired a moving company and paid premium price of $2000 and was promised in exchange trusted professionals who would move my items with care. Instead I received very slow, movers who at times were careless and were often inefficient and one of them turned out to be at felon who stole several items from me in the move. I thought that when things got to the corporate level that surely they would understand that they had committed fraud by promising me a certain level of service in exchange for money and then not delivering. Instead, they tried repeatedly to get me to accept financial offers that did not completely compensate me for the items of the goods that were stolen from me during the move.

I ended up not using All My Sons Moving and Storage in the end. I voiced my concerns when I heard that they had reports online that they had some bad about not showing up. I was sure that that would not happen. I received a phone call after the appointment and schedule. Richard, the head of the batch heard my concerns and let me know that he had come in and turned the business around and that there's no way I would be cancelled on and that things are totally different with the company now. I felt better after I heard that phone call. The Saturday before my move, I got a call from Matt who works from the office. I was told that they couldn't move me on Sunday, that they have people calling out and he didn't have a certified driver and that they couldn't do it. He scheduled it on Monday. I had extra people on Sunday to help me. I had to get out on that certain day. I said "Okay, this has got to happen." If he was going to tell me to lower my rates, it was $89 for the time. I told them to lower the rates for me because of the inconvenience and they would be out there at 10 o'clock. They were sending four people and they would be there. They would not stop until you got packed, moved in a new place. On Monday, I only had one person there with me. They showed up at 10:30 and there was only two people, not four. Inconveniently, Matt was out of the office. The guy who showed up told me that it was a one-bedroom moving. They weren't told about packing and everything else. I had given them a specific item list. They all know exactly what had to be moved. Basically, the guys called Richard and the guys told me I want to cancel them. Richard said he can't do two more up but the rates are going up to $139 per person. The guy told me there's a surplus charge now but I was told there's no surplus gas charge. Basically, the move which was supposed to be $800 was going to cost me $3000. Don't use them. You run the risk of basically being cancelled on and you run the risk of whatever quotes you're given to begin with being tripled when they get out there if they can get out there.

We had the best service from this company. The movers arrived and did a walk through with me asking the location of what was going in each room upon arrival, which they used to construct a plan on how to best load and unload the truck. This speed up the process of the move because all the items going upstairs in the new house were placed together and all the downstairs placed together. The guys were very professional, nice and attentive to detail. Their office staff called periodically throughout the move to ask how things were going and asking if I needed anything. They even called to give me an after hours cell phone number to call in case I needed something. I would highly recommend using this company
Description of Work: They began their morning moving the people we were purchasing our new house from, and arrived promptly to begin our move as soon as they were done. We hired them for a local move within the same city by providing 3 guys to assist us.

It was the most horrific nightmare I've ever had to endure, no lie. My daughter called to set this up for me, and she spoke to a man named Clifton in their call center on Friday 9/30. She told him at that time that the movers would need to bring boxes to help finish packing the remainder of items (books) and to bring mattress bags for my bedroom mattresses, they are very heavy and expensive and I didn't want them damaged or dusty. She was quoted a price at that time of $125/hour for 3 guys and a truck. She told Clifton that there were about 2 bedrooms of furniture that would need to be moved and several other pieces of furniture in the living room and den, lots of boxes, etc. She also told them that I have expensive and very heavy bedroom furniture that has to be disassembled and reassembled to be moved, he said no problem to all of that and that the movers were courteous, helpful, and would treat my belongings like they would their own. He also said they were extra careful not to damage anything and nothing I needed would be a problem. My daughter called later that day to confirm everything with someone in the actual office (not call center and we were good to go. The movers called to confirm everything on Monday and were set to be at my old house at 8am 10/4/11. They showed up on time, but didn't have any of the boxes, mattress bags, etc. with them that I requested them to bring. They also said they thought they would need additional help and a truck just for the stuff going to my storage unit. They didn't come back to my house to get started until 11:30. It took them 3 hours to get that done, so that delayed the entire move because they weren't prepared to begin with. They were anything but professional and courteous, which is what I was told they would be. They broke a knob off of my staircase, and damaged my lovely bedroom furniture because it was packed upside down in their truck. It took them until after 10pm that night to get my furniture and stuff unloaded at my new house, just 20 (or less, I'm estimating) miles away, which is absurd in and of itself. Not only that, but when the final bill came (before they would unload it), it was over $2,100. I was absolutely livid, I spoke to the manger himself, Ben, and told him I was quoted $125/hour and he denied all of it. He then proceeded to get into a shouting match with me saying he would hold my stuff, take it with him and store it, dump it in my front yard, you name it, he threatened it until it was paid. Not only that, but the stuff going to storage never made it, it still hasn't made it as I type this, it is in their truck somewhere. They had to take the loaded truck back to their warehouse and leave it overnight because it didn't make it to the storage unit before 4pm, even though when I (and my daughter) spoke with Ben, he said that woudn't be a problem. He refused to take anything off the bill, I guess it was my fault that they piddled around for 3 hours yesterday, broke the knob on my staircase, damaged my furniture, you name it, they did it. And they couldn't have been more unprofessional and to scream at a customer and try to charge them $2,100 is unreal. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The managment (if you call them that)- Ben and Jason, were 2 of the worst indivuals I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Do yourself a favor and use Two Men and a Truck- do NOT ever use this crappy company. They ripped me off, and I'm contacting my attorney today to see what my legal options are against them, I won't be treated like this or taken advantage of!

awful!!.... we were given the window of time for them to begin 12pm to 3pm.... they showed up a good bit past 7pm... we had to call them and once I know that I was given the runaround. I kept asking for the lady who set up the move and someone else always took the call. when she finally got on the phone she was not apologetic. If it had been me they were moving... I would have cancelled. My daughter waited and went through with it. I had given them a credit card over the phone for the deposit and was told that they would need to see my card for the payment. I scanned the card into my email and was ready to email it to them, but since it was past 10pm I went on to bed. They next day I checked the credit card bill and they had charged the balance due without contacting me or seeing the card. Have not heard a word from them since.

I renewed my membership and paid $20 dollars solely to write this review. We contacted All My Sons to move our belongings across town about three weeks in advance. They were very knowledgeable and repeatedly asked about our home's size and belongings. They seemed knowledgeable and organized on the phone. All seemed to go well until moving day. All My Sons were supposed to show up at 7:30am. Upon repeated calls to the company's manager, she finally answered and told us that she was having trouble finding employees b/c they were tired and did not show up for work that day. She was somewhat rude acted like this was our issue, but we finally got her to agree to send some movers out as soon as she could. They were an hour and a half late and finally showed up at 9:00am. The "lead" mover walked around our house and said that he would not move our belongings and that this was a 3 person job. He left and said he would come back if they found a third person. We had to be out of the home by 3pm so we were starting to panic. We called and called All My Sons and could not get them to pick up. Eventually, they did pick up and the owner stated that the movers refused to come out until they got a third person. Hour after hour passed and no movers were showing up. We called every 30 minutes and when we were able to get in touch with the owner, she kept telling us that they were on our way. We were gettting really nervous and called every moving company in Birmingham and they were obviously already booked. So, in an effort to speed things up, if and when the movers arrived, a family member and I moved EVERYTHING from the house into to the driveway. We moved every box and piece of furniture in the house to driveway...EVERYTHING. All the movers had to do was put our belongings on the truck and head to the new house. After repeated calls, the movers did show up 6 HOURS LATE at 1:30pm, and some came with bad attitudes. Since we had already done 90% of the work to get our stuff to the driveway, we thought it would go quickly. The movers bickered among each other and how to pack things in the truck. One of them even told me I needed to wrap up my new garden hoses and pack them in a box b/c he did not want to be responsible for damage to the garden hose. During this entire time, my family member and I were helping these guys in order to keep pace and make up time. We were eventually packed and made it to the new house by 5:00pm, which was ridiculous. About 5:30pm, one of the movers walked off the job and got in a car with a friend who had been hovering the moving site in their car. We were finally done around 7pm. I will not even write about why I had to go rent a separate truck from Metro b/c the movers again refused to pack some of our things in the truck. To sum things up, I would never use this company. The owner was rude to us on the phone, though she did "credit" us the additional mover. Some of the movers were really hard workers while others complained and really did not like their jobs. They were severely late. We have some scratches on our furniture. One guy walked off the job site. We have some kind of goo or sweat on our mattresses b/c the head mover told us that he mattress covers were useless so we chose not to use them. Ultimately, we paid $600+ dollars for move in which we were late and we did all of the work.

They are excellent. I spent $390 for their service. They are very professional and their prices are fair. They don’t waste time. You are charged by the hour. If you don’t have a certain number of rooms for them to move, they charge by the pound or by the hour. We didn’t have many pounds of things; so they charged us by the hour. I felt that their hourly rate was fair. They didn’t waste any time. They got busy. They came in, did their business and they left. I didn’t feel like they were trying to get more money than they deserved. It was great.

My husband was with the movers as they loaded and unloaded the furniture. He was unable to read the security code on the back of his debit card, so the truck followed my husband to the bank to get cash, $267. He had signed to papers in order to start them loading the truck but signed no papers after the delivery. I stayed at my Fathers house to wait on a charity pick up and wait on my husband to come back and help me . My husband called me and asked if there had been A VERY LARGE DEEP SCRATCH on the top of the table. There was no scratch until after they got it. Called manager and was told my husband had signed and he could not just take my word for it. With a chuckle he said he could do nothing. He had a signature. When I became upset the again laughed and said he could not help me if I had such a bad attitude. Ask him why my bill was so high his reply was that he had told me that I would be billed for 2hours min. and blah, blah, blah. Took much less than an hour.
