Donald Bradford Painting & Repair

If you want an honest, hardworking, and moderately priced painter with attention to detail, Donald is your man. There is a reason he is rated so high on Angie's list, and it wasn't by accident. We wanted to smooth our ceilings and contacted many of the companies on Angie's list as well as a few others for an estimate. Donald was right in the middle of the pack on price. However, he was the only one to give us the quote and actually do most of the work himself. All the other companies had someone give an estimate and then they would send in their "crew". Donald will tell you that he's been painting everyday since 1988, and his crew consists of himself, his wife, and maybe one other person. So Donald will get the job done right and have it look good, but he may not be the speediest service out there. Our walls and ceilings looks great and Donald was very attentive to every detail. In fact, the evening after Donald finished, he called me and told me he forgot to touch up a spot in the bathroom and wanted to come back and fix it. He came back over that night and touched them up. I seriously doubt other painters would do that. Even though Donald wasn't the cheapest painter we talked to, his service was WELL worth what we paid. If I ever require a painter again, Donald Bradford will be the first person I call.

Although they were not my lowest bidder, I chose this company based on their responsiveness and professionalism when I was seeking quotes. Now that the job is done I am very pleased with my choice. I did have to wait for some time for a schedule availability, but I knew this up front and when the date shifted slightly Mr. Bradford contacted me well ahead of time to discuss it. They respected my time and property, and cleaned up after themselves thoroughly. The paint job was neatly and completely finished and nothing in my landscaping was harmed. I really appreciated their attention to detail. They certainly did a much neater job than whomever painted the house last. I would recommend them to a friend with confidence and would certainly hire them again.

It took a few weeks longer than I expected before they could come out and do my job. I think they were busy with other jobs and I was in the queue. When they did come to do the work, they called in advance to let me know they were coming. They arrived around 7:00 am every morning to start painting. The results are excellent. I am really happy with the results. I was able to get the 10% Angie's List discount, and also Brad was able to knock off a little extra off the price to match the low bidder estimate I had.

He did a great job and it looks wonderful. He was punctual, cleaned up after himself and was always very professional. He pointed out some issues he found in the course of his work and ensured that we both understood what needed to be done and how much it would cost. I have nothing but the greatest respect for him as a painter and I do intend on asking him back. The price was good though I had the work performed over two jobs and it seemed that the second job was quoted a little higher than the first job but overall I was satisfied with the price. It took a bit longer than I expected, but it is a two person team so this is a fair trade-off unless you are working under an extreme deadline. I suspect this is, in part, why he can offer such a great value.

Donald and his team always showed up on time, took great care to not cause any damage to anything in the house (e.g., used tarps, careful around furniture, etc.), and did a quality job. I plan to use them again if I have a large area that needs painting.

After approximately 3 weeks without hearing from Mr. Bradford, I cannot recommend him because of his non responsiveness.

We had approx 5 paint contractors give us estimates for the job. We had them quote labor only and that we would provide the paint to them. That way, we could easily compare the estimates and ensure a quality paint was used. Donald's estimate was just below the mid point as far as cost. Things that stuck out were his promptness, many years of experience, and the fact he would be onsite doing the painting himself as opposed to having a crew I hadn't met do it. Since we were moving out of state, we met with him ahead of time to provide a deposit. Our rental agent handled the rest. Job was done on time and we have received excellent feedback from our agent who has seen more than a house or two repainted. She was very impressed with his work and took a few of his cards for future use. For my part, I was very happy with the interaction I had with Donald, the price, and the fact everything was completed on time and to my agent's satisfaction.

We chose Donald because of his good reviews on Angies List, and low price estimate. He and his assistant began work promptly, and took careful measures to protect floors,etc. The ceiling and wall cracks took several days. He was careful to reapply and let dry between filling the cracks....says to me it's done right. The painting went smoothly, and they finished in, what I considered good time. They were careful to clean up at the end of each day, and did a good job with the final clean up too. We were very satisfied, and would recommend Donald to our friends.

From start to finish, it was awesome and he did a great job. I was happy with the price. He was reasonable. He did great work. His punctuality was great. I do plan to use him again.

They were fine, but didn’t clean the place before they left. They charged me more than estimated and the ceiling the job was not that impressive. I will not use their services in future.

Well. Donald was there for the majority of the time; he had one worker with him. They pretty much finished on time and in budget.

I tried to contact this company to get an estimate for some interior painting and popcorn removal work. They never responded to my email, and their company website link has been disabled, so I didn't bother to try to call them

They stuck to their estimate. They finish the work on time. They were very reasonably priced compared to some other quotes that we got. They did a great job with cleaning and did an excellent job. I would use their service in the future.

Don squeezed us in on a saturday and sunday which was great. Called in advance to indicate he was going to be late. moved furniture, placed drop cloths. friendly and courtious. Quality results. Hired him on the spot to paint entire down stairs and exterior of house. He is booked well in advance...

I emailed Donald and his team asking for an estimate on painting some rooms in the house. About 3 days later Donald came out and gave me an estimate on painting the dining room, kitchen, living room and office room (ceiling and walls) along with replacing the trim around a door frame. I felt that the estimate was fair and decided to hire him and his team. Less than a week later - they came by on a Thursday and they completed the job on Friday. They only took 2 days to paint all the rooms/ceilings. They also fix the nails that were popping out of the ceilings in the rooms. The work done was excellent. I am very satified with the work and will hire them again.

Except for 2 days, they showed up when we expected them. There were a couple of days lost to weather. Otherwise they were here working. They were careful of my plants. I have a LOT of plants. They seemed to want to do a good job and not make a mess. The job was supposed to take a week but because of weather took more like 2 weeks. A LOT of time went into the removal and reinstallation of the 32 shutters.They were polite, and always asked how I wanted things done, especially if they had to move something. I would definitely recommend this company.

He was very friendly and I thought that he knew what he was talking about. I had a good impression of him and everything went very well. He was very knowledgeable and he presented himself very well. He was on time.

He said he'd start a certain date and was a no show. Then, I found out that the thermostat in his van broken and he was without transportation. He replaced it, showed one day and not the next. Finally, found out that the replaced thermostat was bad, and he had to replace it again. So, he was behind in all his jobs, working & bidding. When the auto problem had been resolved he and his co-worker were right there in extreme heat working on my home. Due to the heat they worked half days (am glad they did - it was the hottest week of the summer). They did a superior job once things got going. The work went very quickly and they kept the area clean and neat, finishing in about a week. Mr. Bradford listened to my concerns & did all the woodwork himself, while his co-worker did the painting. I thought his prices seemed a little high, but it was far superior to any work I had done in the past 17 years. So, the price was probably just right. I will be calling Mr. Bradford again for work that I need done. Would highly recommend him and one of my neighbors has already asked for his information.

Set up a date for him to come by and give me an estimate and he never showed up. I sat around my house for quite some time waiting, but no phone call nothing. Then later in the week I had a message that he had forgotten about coming to my house for an estimate, I never called him back. Not a great way to run a business, if someone doesn' show up, I cross them off the list.

My experience with Mr. Bradford exceeded my expectations and would recommend him to anyone asking for a painter. I will be re-hiring him to paint other rooms within my home in the future.

Mr. Bradform is professional, courteous and does and outstanding job. I had price shopped and he was by far the least expensive that I found, but he takes great pride in his work. He came back and finished the hob on a Saturday. I will use him for all my painting needs in the future.

We called Donald to provide us an estimate to remove the popcorn ceilings in a home we had just purchased. He was prompt in providing an estimate, offered us a reasonable price for the work and was able to begin the work within days. Originally, he was hired to remove the popcorn and paint the ceilings throughout the home. We also asked him to paint the livingroom as it has a large cathedral ceiing with very high walls. Every room in the house had some type of wallpaper on the walls. Our original intent was to handle the wallpaper removal and painting on our own. After seeing Donald's work we asked him to take over that task and later added the staining of some concrete floors. Donald's prices for the adittional work were very reasonable. We have two bathrooms each of which have 2 story skylights that required popcorn removal and painting. Donald did a great job on both. He also removed a DIY beam that spanned the cathedral ceiling which meant removing and reinstalling a large ceiling fan. Overall Donald's work was fabulous. He was also willing to offer advice on projects that we were tackling ourselves. I would definitlely call Donald in the future and have already recommended him to friends. He is a consumate professional and treated our home like it was his own.

He was extremely polite and he seemed to be concerned and want to help me. The house looked very good when they were done. The price was appropriate; I researched quite a bit and then narrowed it down.

I have used him before. I knew I wanted him for this project as well. He is respectful of my home and myself. He is clean and tidy. He is nice guy to invite into your home.
