KRAFT TREE SERVICES LLC

Britt Kraft and his crew arrived on time and completed the job in less than six hours. They removed the stumps, cleaned up all of the branches, and left hardly a trace that they had been there. At the last minute, I asked him and his crew to remove two stumps that were not included in the original estimate, and he only charged me an extra $100.This was my second time to use Kraft, and I was greatly pleased again. I don't know if Kraft is the cheapest tree service around, but I don't care. They have great equipment and very knowlegeable and skilled people. You can tell they've been working together for a long time.

I was pleased with the work performed by the crew. They arrived on time. I was impressed with the amount of equipment they had with them - stump grinder, tree shredder, tractor and two trucks to haul debris away. The crew of four worked together like clock work and methodically attacked that tree until all evidence of it was gone in 6 hours. Two other companies told me it would take them a 11/2 days. I was particularly impressed with the way they continually raked the yard as each major piece was cut. The crew are down to earth professionals who are serious about their job and take great proud in it.

Their workmanship was very good; they did a good job of cleaning up and they did the work a week before they were scheduled, since they were in the neighborhood with their equipment anyway. After they left, we noticed that part of the stump was not ground down properly. This was minor and probably overlooked because of the sawdust. I called and spoke with our contact and asked that they return to check the roots. When I did not hear back from him, I again called on his cell phone, this time leaving a message (before hurricane Ike). Still, I did not hear from them, so I called the office to get on their work schedule. I left a detailed message on their answering machine. About a week later, since I had not heard from anyone, I called the office again and spoke with a woman named Lynn (Kraft?). She told me they were working in Texas. I said, "we have just spent $1,250 with your company," and before I could add "and the least that I expect is to have my phone calls returned," she interrupted me with a rude, "well, ma'am, I can't get them to come all the way from Texas just to grind your roots." I said, "excuse me, excuse me, in an effort to finish my sentence. She hung up on me. Later, my husband called and she hung up on him also. He called back and after repeating that she couldn't get them to come from Texas to grind our stump, my husband said "all we wanted is for someone to have the courtesy to return our phone call, and after your behavior, we cannot recommend your service." She rudely told him, "I've got more business than I can handle. I don't care who you tell." It is too bad that rude and unprofessional behavior from an office manager (whether an employee or an owner, I am not sure) wiped out the excellent work of the tree cutters.
