+ -1 moreI need gutters installed on two houses in Tuscaloosa AL, one is my primary residence, the other is my son's residence located near-by, plus minor roof-flashing work on my residence. I selected Sutton's because of the favorable evaluation on this web site. Sutton did not return my calls - one on a Thursday or Friday (Oct 18 or 19), the second on Monday Oct 22. Messages left on voice mail or answering service.
Description of Work: Work not done, calls not returned, as below.

+ 0 moreA worker at Lowe's was very helpful and provided me the number for "Bob" of Sutton Vinyl and Siding. I rang Bob that morning, and by noon he was at my home to take a look at things. He said he could be back in 2 hours and get the job done for $100-- and that's exactly what he did. He was terrific! While I know the materials were probably only $25 total, his access to finding someone to "form" the gutter pieces, and his ready expertise getting the materials properly set up at the house was CERTAINLY worth the $100. Bob did a really nice job and was exceptionally nice. I'm going to recommend him to a neighbor who also needs minor gutter replacement. Description of Work: Needed extension of gutter applied to house. I had a gutter applied by a different company and for some crazy reason-- they put a downspout that only extended 1/2 way down the side of the house. Rain water would spill out from the downspout and was washing away dirt from the foundation. So, I needed to have a full length downspout and extension piece to ensure water would run off away from the house.I tried ask local gutter companies if they could simply sell me the sections needed and I could apply these myself, and they refused to do such. I then tried to order gutter sections/elbows online, but it was going to cost quite a bit for delivery charges. Local hardware supply stores (e.g., Lowes., HomeDepot) don't sell colors other than white--- I needed dark brown guttering. I rang all around town trying to figure out how to get a 10 ft piece of gutter and 2 elbows. I never anticipated this was going to be so difficult and seemingly expensive!

+ -1 moreMr. Sutton and a small group of his workers put a new roof on my house over the course of about two full work days. His work was excellent and professional. We are very happy with our new roof. Mr. Sutton was always punctual and professional and provided us with a very reasonable quote before he started work. I would highly recommend Mr. Sutton for any roof work that you might need.
Description of Work: Mr. Sutton replaced the old tin roof on my house with a new metal roof. He hauled the old roof away and left the area around my house very clean and tidy.
