I have no words to truly explain how pleased I am with Steve Walden Construction and his team. I have had many jobs over the years and nothing compares to the quality, expertese, attention to detail, clean up. In addition they were wonderful with dealing with my 2 dogs. The before and after is unbelievable. I would highly recomend Walden Construction and already have several friends that plan to use them on upcoming renovations. I will also be using ONLY them for upcoming projects.

i had a front porch on my house that broke loose from the foundation and home. Steve Walden and his crews removed the old porch, built a new bigger porch, then built a gabled, metal covered roof, complete with changing the double door to a single door with sidelights. Everyone who worked on the project was very knowledgeable, and showed genuine concern to make the project the best it could be. The concrete crew exceeded my expectations, and the roof crew was truly special. Steve , and his crew took a picture of what we wanted and turned it into a reality. I would most definitely recommend him to do anything around your home, no matter how small or large in scope. We have other projects we are considering, and Steve will definitely have an opportunity to get the business. I wish I could post some before and after pictures, only then would you be able to understand our satisfaction!

They delivered on the work promised. My wife and I are satisfied with the end result. Final price matched the estimate with small adjustments for discovered items. We had our old deck completely removed, about 200 square feet of masonite siding replaced (which was bad) and new deck built from ground up.

We had a bad experience with Walden Home Improvement. I hired them based on good reviews from Home Advisor. Our project included remodeling our downstairs area to provide more living space for our family. Our remodel included re-plumbing three bathrooms (two upstairs and one downstairs), and a kitchen supply lines and drains. It also included running a lot of new electrical as well as re-sheetrocking walls and ceilings. They also moved my HVAC from the basement to the attic to get rid of all the ductwork in the downstairs ceiling which was a great idea… (thanks Brandon). Brandon was the name of our crew chief. He really knows his stuff and is very easy to work with. He was the bright spot on this project. Brandon was diligent and knew what I wanted every step of the way. He did great work and was very honest. There were a few things that went wrong which I guess are part of a project like this. They spilt purple PVC dye on my new garage floor (permanently stained), then they left my fridge unplugged overnight and all day, which ruined everything inside. Nonetheless we pressed forward. Around week three, Brandon started getting pulled of my project by Steve Walden (the owner) to fix problems, on other projects. Brandon was working at my house until 9:00-10:00 some nights just to get things done. All the starting and stopping seemed to be taking its toll on the quality of the work. Hindsight, I would strongly recommend not allowing them to do this should you hire them for your project. The plumbing and electrical work was the best part. The sheetrock was nice in some areas, and sloppy in others. I have gaps around my outlets and fixtures. I had to have my painter go back and fix some of the seams and around my light fixtures… but my wall outlets and switches still have huge gaps. Trying to find xtra, xtra large covers to hide them. Without a doubt, the biggest problem of all was how the owner (Steve) handled the end of the project. After week five I was close to the end of my budget. I had shared my budget with Steve on several occasions so we could adjust what they were able to do, with what I had to spend. I called Steve and Brandon together and we went through the house and made a list. We all agreed they could finish what I needed done and we all agreed on a final price… End of the week came around and they weren’t done. Steve was out of town and the guys needed to be paid… So I made the last payment (big mistake). I talked to Steve about finishing up but he refused to do any more work unless I agreed to pay additional hours. That was not what we agreed to. I know this was dumb on my part, but I trusted he would do what he said he would. Don’t make that mistake! If you choose to work with Walden, get everything in writing up front. Pay half up front and half upon completion. Don’t pay balances until you are satisfied… look closely at the work. Fortunately, Brandon agreed to finish on his own. We agreed on a pr

I hired Walden Home Improvements to enlarge a closet and build a shower for me. I am extremely happy with the final result - the new floor in my closet matches the existing floor in my bedroom exactly, and the shower is exactly what I asked for. The workers were extremely polite and courteous, asked me questions about my preferences along the way, helped me stretch my materials and save money, etc. They also took time to show me their progress before leaving, allowed me to observe while they worked, and even made very good suggestions for the projects as they went along. I also feel it very worth mentioning that this is a contractor that is easy to get hold of and will respond to calls or texts almost immediately. That is an extremely desirable trait! My only complaint was that I felt that the project took about one week longer than it should have (this is subjective, of course), but the concern was swiftly addressed by the owner and everything was resolved appropriately and professionally.

Exceeded expectations. I have never seen a deck as solid. Could not be more pleased with the result.
