+ -1 moreCalled for Dishwasher leak repair. He called back within 30 minutes from leaving message, making a 1:00 pm appt. for the same day. About 10:30 he called and said he'd finished a previous repair and asked if he could come early. Upon arriving he found 2 holes burned through the tub. He ran to the auto repair store and found some epoxy, used it to repair the holes, and charged only $65.00 total. Great service!

+ -1 moreThe guy charged me $45 for the service call. The appliance was not repairable so I bought a new refrigerator. I didn't know if it was something that was repairable or not. He told me that he could repair and put a new compressor on, but the compressor would cost $400 to $500. He said that he wouldn't recommend doing that. I was very pleased with him. It was a good experience. I called and he was here within an hour. He was very responsive. His professionalism was great. Overall, he was excellent. His price was excellent too. I would use him again in the future if need be.
Description of Work: I used the services of Allen's Appliance Repair on the 29th of August to repair my refrigerator.

Description of Work: I had Allen come out to repair my dishwasher. He gave me excellent advice to purchase another dishwasher because the parts that needed to be replaced could have been higher than buying a new dishwasher. He phoned the parts company right there in front of me. And then he even got on the phone to an appliance company to check out their best prices on a new moderately priced dishwasher. He then came out to install the new dishwasher, but there was a new part that was required on this newer model that he had never seen. He then went right up to the parts store, purchased the part and was back quickly to complete the installation. I shutter to think how long it would have taken if Sears was doing the repair work. But now I know hometown service still exists!!!!!!

It seems there is a special feature built into the washer that catches anything left in pockets when the trousers make it into the washing machine. I did not know about this nor the flashing LEDs that signal you that the water is not draining. Allen showed me the special trap area and it will be an easy fix should this happen again. I liked his forthrightness and candid explanation.
Description of Work: Whirlpool front loader washing maching stopped cycling. Allen arrived when he said he would and promptly repaired the machine. Even showed me where I could do what he did and save a future service call. We will definitely use him again. He does not have a shop service area. He makes house calls as is now the norm with most repair people.
