I can’t say enough about this couple, hard working, honest and reliable. Katie was so good at calling, texting and sending photos. They never cut corners and did an excellent job. Would highly recommend them and would use again.

Excellent work - Todd and Katie do quality work and stand behind their service. These areas were long overdue for remodeling. Several problem areas with the original construction of our house in the remodeled areas that dated back to when our house was built back in 1992 were corrected. We are very pleased with the work done.
Description of Work: Remodel of master bathroom, master bedroom, and two closets. Master bath was totally re-done with old construction removed down to the studs. The popcorn ceiling was also removed in these areas and was converted to a smooth ceiling. The new shower runs from wall-to-wall and has river rock as the floor surface - the walls include both ceramic and mosaic tile. Spot lights were added as a lighting accent. The vanity was custom-made to fit the available space. The previous mirror was altered in size and a wood border was constructed to match the vanity. Luxury vinyl plank flooring and new molding was installed in the master bedroom, closets, and bathroom. Corrections were done for a couple of problem areas that dated back from when our house was originally built. One door was replaced and a pocket door was installed in place of another door. New door brackets and handles were installed. The sub-floor was stabilized and silenced before the LVP flooring was installed. All plumbing needs for the bathroom area was done by Todd and Katie Moran. The old ceiling fan in the master bedroom was replaced with a new one.

Todd and his crew were a pleasure to work with. He was very easy to work with, making allowances for the fact that I was sometimes out of the state. He stayed in contact with me at all times. The work outlined above was done over a 10 to 12 month period based on my schedule. I am very satisfied with his professional work. He has photos, that I took of the project, that are available to look at.
Description of Work: Remodel of a 3,000 square foot home built in 2001, but had not been lived in for 2+ years due to bank ownership. Work consisted of: General: repair damage/blemishes to drywall with texture, priming, and painting of all walls. Remove popcorn texture from ceiling, some are as high as 16 feet above the floor, with repair to damage/blemishes to drywall and application of texture, priming, and, paint. Removed all wall mounted mirrors in bath rooms(one 7 feet by 4 feet). Remove chandelier from vaulted ceiling and replaced it with a ceiling fan/light system. Removed entry porch light(vaulted ceiling) and replaced it with a pendent light. Removed three exterior doors, one a French door and replaced the with new. Kitchen: installations of a through the ceiling stove vent system(not preexisting), installed 4 can lights in ceiling(not preexisting), install 3 pendent lights(not preexisting), removed and replaced AC/heat vents, removed existing fluoresent lights. Dining Room: removed existing chandelier and repaired ceiling, replaced AC/heat vent, installed 16 light pendent system with rheostat light switch. Hall baths(2): removed vinyl flooring and replace with ceramic tile, removed old vanity's, lights, sinks, mirrors, and toilets and replaced everything with new items. Master Bath: Removed 2 1/2 walls of an existing linen closet(left a 1/2 wall next to tub), removed an existing fiberglass shower stall. Using the space from the linen closet and shower stall Todd built a 2 shower head walk in shower with glass block wall. Shower area was completely tiled with a seat and inset soap/shampoo shelf. Installed a can light in shower ceiling with rheostat switch. Installed new tub hardware. Tiled the tub area to match the shower. Replaced the toilet. Removed existing double vanity, sinks, wall attached mirror, lights and replaced them with a custom built double vanity, sinks, two mirrors and 3 light fixtures. Removed all flooring in his and her closets, vanity area, and toilet room and replaced with tile. During the early part of the remodel a leak was discovered in the roof that required the removal and replacement of approximately 250 square feet of underlay material, shingles and a false chimney.

I've never had such a positive experience with a builder. The hardwood floors in the older part of my house were beginning to buckle. 1) Todd removed a plank and discovered that the subfloor was very wet. 2) He also assessed the level of mold damage in the hardwood itself. 3) Katie prepared a professional, written estimate of each step involved in the renovation. 4) Upon my request, she prepared a detailed estimate of the man-hours involved in each step. And, most important, 5) Because of severe mold damage they provided a and ldquo;worst case scenarioand rdquo; in case they found damaged joists. It's great to avoid awful surprises in costs later in a project! 6) Since I bought hand scraped hardwood from a surplus warehouse, they picked it up. 7) Todd did meticulous work installing the floors. 8) Katie's sanding/drywall/painting job was excellent. 9) Todd and Katie have a strong work ethic, cleaned up debris at the end of each day, and did not engage in endless chatter with me or each other. 10) Payments were made to them as each part of the project was completed. 11) They provided me with as much privacy as possible. 12) They did not leave until I had plenty of time to look over the job and feel comfortable with any final requests about the project. 13) They phoned later to followup on my satisfaction. I guess anyone can see from reading this review that I am a very deliberate, detailed person. They never showed any sign of impatience! I look forward to working with them on other projects.
Description of Work: 1) assessment of damage to old, moldy hardwood floors and subfloor 2) written estimate of best and worst case scenario costs for project 3) upon request, written estimate of man hours involved in each step 4) separate payments for each step of project 5) safe removal of all furniture in affected rooms 6) pickup of new materials 7) safe removal of moldy, hardwood floors 8) safe removal of wet subfloor 9) removal of old materials from owner's home 10) inspection of joists 11) sanding/dry wall/painting of walls 12) installation of new subfloor and hardwood floor 13) return of furniture to rooms, safely 14) final inspection of owner's satisfaction with job 14) Follow-up call

The owner of the company, Todd Moran, provided a written quotation detailing materials, laor and cost of each. Mr.Moran, requested and quot;up frontand quot; payment for materails. Once the quote was accepted, a start date was determined. Mr. Morman procured all necessary materail and deliveried these to the work site on the agreed date and time. Work progressed rapidly with a minimum interuption to the household routine. The work site was kept clean with tools and material kept in an orderly manner. Upon completion of the load bearing wall, the temporary supports were left in place several days to allow the mortar to cure properly and fully. Mr. Moran return as promised on the date provided, removed the tempoary support and completed final clean up and removal of excess materials. Only after the work was fully completed and the owner was fully satisfied with the quality and completion of the wrok did Mr. Moran, request final payment. I would highly recommend TJM Constuction for any manner of home repair or construction. The company is run in a very professional manner, provided at a reasonable price and quality of the work is excellent.
Description of Work: TJM Construction was hired to re-support a second story of a 2 bedromm apartment. The work included the installtion of temporary supports, removal of three (3) existing block columns and the installtion of a cinder block wall to support this section of the apartment.

TJM Construction was contact based on the recommendation of a friend. Another contractor had been originally commissioned to partially remodel two bathrooms, however, once it became apparent that this contractor (See Eastern Shore Floor Covering and Design) could not deliver a quality installation in a timely manner, it was decided to have this work completed by a professional contractor. Todd Moran made a site visit and carefully evaluated the condition of the work site and the work which would be needed to be completed. He worked closely with the home owners to be sure that he clearly understood the owner’s expectations and what work was to included. A written quoted was provided which fully detailed the cost and materials to be provided by Mr. Moran. A list of additional material which were to be provided by the owners (lighting and plumbing fixtures, wall paint, etc..) was provided as well. A work schedule was outlined providing tentative start dates, durations of activities and estimated completion dates Mr. Moran arrived as planned with all necessary manpower, tools and materials and worked every day, all day, until the work was completed. If Mr. Moran was delayed (i.e traffic, purchasing additional materials, etc…) he would contact the owners the day before or the morning of the delay and provide updates on why he was late and when he could be expected. Mr. Moran was continuously on-site and proved to be a working supervisor, actively working on the project while providing direct supervision of his craftsmen, insuring a high quality installation executed in an effective manner. A great deal of effort was put into maintaining a clean and safe work place with debris removed site daily. At all times, the personnel of TJM Construction were respectful of the owners and their property and took exceptional care to minimize any damage to the household and grounds. In addition to the work contracted, Mr. Moran took it upon himself to install several lighting fixtures throughout the house. The owners had purchased these items and planned installing themselves. Mr. Moran explained that they had experienced a slight lull in work that day and needed to keep his people busy. Mr. Moran did not expect or request any additional payment for this additional work. TJM Construction is operated in a professional manner and provides a quality installation, in an effective affordable manner.
Description of Work: The work was awarded to TJM Construction after the original contractor was unable to competently execute the agreed scope of work. (See Eastern Shore Floor Covering and Design). TJM Construction is owned, operated and supervised by Todd J. Moran. This company is a Insured and a Licenses Residential Home Builder in both Alabama and Florida and specializes in home and marine construction. TJM has worked extensively throughout southern Alabama and North West Florida This particular job was part of a larger remodeling effort and involved the remodeling of two bathrooms and included the demolition of the existing bath tub, fixtures enclosures, glass doors and existing sheet rock. New porcelain / cast iron tubs were installed in each bath along with new fixtures, durock and tile enclosures. In the smaller hall bath, the walls and ceiling were also stripped, refinished and repainted.
