Description of Work: Old Dixie finished three chests of drawers for us. The quality was reasonable, the price was good. They repaired adequately damage they caused to one chest during their handling.

He came out the same day and made two trips to our house to repair a drawer in my wife's dresser that I had broken earlier that morning. Sure, it was a small job, but we sure appreciated the way that Tommy responded and fixed it so quickly. We'll definitely use him the future.

+ 0 moreThe last project was a family desk from the early 1900's. It had been in storage for several years. My husband came from a very large family and the desk had been passed around, given all that the desk was in terrible shape. The wood inlay on the top of the desk was missing and cracked, the very middle of the desk was cracked, it had scrapes and even had a child's name carved into it. I had my doubts it could be saved. Tommy worked on it approximately 1 week and it came back in beautiful shape. I am now enjoying my desk and couldn't be happier.
Description of Work: Tommy Foster Has done multiple jobs for our family, from refinishing antiques after water damage to refinishing wood tables and repairing broken family heirlooms. We would trust him with any kind of wood job. He's very knowledgable about different wood styles and technics. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

The Old Dixie Woodshop offers the following services: Custom Furniture, Antique Restoration, General Furniture Repair, Furniture Refinishing, Custom made 'Farm' style dining tables made from reclaimed wood. Special loose joint chair repair and maintenance-I have refined a process of locking up loose joints in wooden chairs and tables, usually without dis-assembly. If left unaddressed will eventually lead to more damage that is expensive. My process will lock the joints tight as when they were new.
