Description of Work: I called Read's after another contractor failed to properly finish a new metal roof. The leak the new roof supposedly repaired had only gotten worse. Alan Read easily assessed the problem. His brother did the actual work. Alan showed up when he said he would, finished on time, and left no mess at all. He was professional and courteous at all times. I wish I had hired Read's to do the roof in the first place. I would certainly hire Read's again.

+ -1 moreHe does excellent work, and we were really pleased with the quality of his service. He comes when you call him, even if you have an emergency. His work is quick and efficient, and I've never seen a roofer clean up like he does. Everything just looked great, and I'd highly recommend his services.
Description of Work: He put a new roof on and worked on my skylights.

+ -1 moreI was quite happy with it. I can't complain a bit. The price was decent; the work was done fairly quickly. It looks like they did a good job. The price seemed quite reasonable to me.
Description of Work: I contacted Read Roofing and Contracting. They gave me a bid. He patched a place where some animal dug a hole through. And he replaced the shingles over it.

+ -1 moreAlan Read was referred to us by our neighbor who had used Read Roofing in the past. He called back and came by the same day, and investigated, diagnosed and gave is a written estimate on the spot. Offered to have certificates of insurance emailed to me, and he did. We found Alan to be personable, professional and caring. He and crew showed up when he said, completed the work to our satisfaction, and carefully cleaned up the worksite when they were done. The repairs match the existing roof, and the cost was exactly per his estimate. We are very satisfied and happy to recommend Alan Read and Read Roofing.
Description of Work: Diagnosed and repaired roof leak that occurred in the intersection of many planes of roof. Required replacement of rotted plywood and reshingling the area. Repaired/replaced several pipe vent flashings and installed new power vent in hip roof over second story.
