Day's Home Improvement provided exceptional, high quality, professional service from beginning consultations to end-of-job inspection. Throughout the job, communications were on-going and responsive. The crews arrived promptly and demonstrated preplanning for the day's work then commitment to daily clean-ups. In job execution, they displayed high skill, extreme efficiency and obvious pride in their work. All were respectful of, and careful around existing woodwork and furniture. I had allowed three weeks for job completion: Lee Day and his crews completed all work, beautifully, in five days. The cost for all of this work was surprisingly lower than expected. They came when said, pulled out due to bad weather, came back and finished on time, took care of punch list items without hesitation.

Lee is amazing. I tried to contact other people to help me before I found Lee and no one actually did any work. They wouldn't follow up with me anymore after the initial discussion. Lee follow up immediately and he made me a priority. It was breath of fresh air. In addition, he is extremely nice and professional. He did great work and it was reasonably priced. I will definitely use him again and I've told many, many people about him. A very, very nice person. I truly appreciate his help, attention, and quality.

Lee's crew did a great job. We were very happy with their work. We have already recommended him to others. And, plan on using him again in the very near future.

Mr. Day contacted me and came to provide a bid. There was no contract form or bid form. It was at that point that the deal o $135 to have one room painted was for the walls only. I negotiated a different deal to have my kitchen ceiling and trim painted. (no cabinets). I took notes and was told that the paint would be purchased by the actual painters and I would be provided with a receipt which I was not but I was told that the cost was $90 for one can of ceiling paint and one can of high gloss trim paint from Benjamin Moore. They did leave the unused paint with me. The painters were punctual but not very communicative. They did a generally good job but nothing special. They finished in a single day. I gave them the check for the $400 and Mr. Day later called to say that he would bring the receipt for the paint and I said that I would pay him them. I also told him that at that time I would like to determine the cost for another job. He indicated he would call me "in the next day or so". As of this writing ten days later, I have not ever heard from him again.

They were very prompt and professional. The painters were very courteous. The quality of work was awesome. There was no wasted time. We are very pleased with the results.

Great job!! Very efficient and neat. Even my yappy dogs were happy. Am using Day's in the future.

We were not on site during installation as this is a rental property. Lee Days subcontracted our shower install but whoever put it in didn't seal the shower. 1 year later the grout is chipping and washing away leaving holes in the grout and exposing the floor below to water damage. We only use this shower once or twice per year, far too infrequent of use to experience such deterioration of the product that they installed. I called Lee to have him come and assess the problem. He was a no show. Essentially, since we are past the 1 year mark, he wouldn't even look at the problem. Do not trust this company to stand by their labor.

After getting 3 quotes all Angies List members I decided to go with Days. I am a contractors daughter and so I have some knowledge of how things should be done and am very selective about who I hire. Lee Day and his team are professional and knowledgeable and best of all they just wanted me to be happy ! My cedar shingles were an unusual staining project and not something that many contracters around here would attempt but I am very pleased with how they turned out. My custom shutters were also a custom paint job that had to be figured out, which they did. As for the rest of the project all painting was completed very neatly and timely and any items removed for painting were re-installed to my satisfaction. I will have them help me with whatever needs doing from now on.

Lee was always available and the jobs were finished by the promised dates.

Lee did a fantastic job. His guys were punctual and picked up daily. He was professional and worked well with me and my wife on building projections, pricing and other materials from start to finnish. He was fair, spoke in layman's terms, and took the time and effort to fix something until it was done exactly how we wanted it. His lead carpenter was excellent as well and took time to explain items beyond his control that were occurring and any potential problems that arose. His painter, who also happens to be his brother in law was also fantastic. If the job called for it or if the weather was severe during the week, Rick (painter) was there on Saturday and Sunday to get the job done in a timely manner. We were really dreading the magnitude of the project, but because of Lee and his crew, the job went very well. Would obviously highly recommend!

Mr. Day came within one day of my call and provided an estimate for the job.The work was started and completed the following week over a couple of days. The workers were professional, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely use them again.

Very good work. I did it long distance as I was in San Diego and work was in Pensacola. Can trust what they say.

Everything they did, they did an excellent job. They were very responsible and showed up on time. The price was fair.

They did a fabulous job! They staretd and finished when he said they would. His men were professional and responsive.

He returned my call immediately every time. We made a deal and they began immediately as soon as I hired them. They had the job done in two or three days. There was one day that they didn't show up but it was basically completed except for the gutter and Mr. Day told me that he had began another job but that he would send someone out to fix that and he came out immediately and fixed it. They were fast. I'd use them again. The only thing I didn't like was that once I gave him the money down so they could get started, he went on vacation and left his workers here to do the job and asked me an extra bit of the money so he'd have something for the trip. I didn't care for that very much but they were responsible. They did everything.

We called several local contractors for estimates and Day's came to look at the job right away. Although their bid was higher than our budget, they worked with us and were able to come down a bit to meet our needs. So of course, we went with them! The crew was here the next day and did a great job. They worked in a new addition to our home and did all the sheetrock finishing (patching and hanging small pieces), taping, mudding, sanding and finished the whole thing with a nice "orange peel" texture in prep for painting (which we are doing ourselves). They stayed with the job and were completely finished in about a day and a half. The only reason I rated them a B for professionalism is because they were a tiny bit sloppy with the drywall mud - big chunks of it left to dry on the floor (which wasn't finished so it's not a huge deal), and a little bit of lunch trash in the yard. Other than that, I would recommend them highly and next time, I'll just talk with them before they leave about the cleanup. Thanks Days!!!!!

Mr. Day arrived on the appointed day and at the appointed time to meet me and go over the work I needed to have him so. He wasvery professional and friendly. He had my estimate ready the next day which he brought to my house and went over with me. One thing he did with the estimate that I liked was he over estimated what the repairs would be and told me that was what he did. We set up a day and time for his workers to start their work. He actually started 2 days earlier since I was having some steps built so they could set the post and have the concrete hard for when they came back on the 9th to start. On the 9th, the arrived promptlyat 7:00 AM when he said they would and got right to work. All the work was completely finished by the 11th. It took 3 trips for the sheetrock which is normal for the process anyway. They all worked very efficiently and were clean and friendly. They kept clean work areas and cleaned up well after they were finished. I was so very pleased with everything from start to finish and would highly recommend Lee Day and his crew to my family and friends. It was so nice to have someone do exactly what he said he was going to do and my price for all the work was actually less than estimated which was a nice plus!!!

I interviewed half a dozen contracts from Angie’s List and other places. He did a great job beginning to end than anybody else. They worked on weekend, stuck to their commitment, and they worked with us, so that we could buy some of the material by ourselves to save money and charged us for labor which is a great experience beginning to end.
