Dropped compjter off and work was performed speedily and weell.

Travis performed the work requested quickly and efficiently. My questions were answered satisfactorily other than regarding encryption which Travis said was part of Windows 7. It is part of Windows7 Professional but not Windows 7 Home Premium which I have. Overall, it was $62 well spent.

it went exceeding well

My step-mom enjoys using her computer, but is not adept at problem solving when things go wrong. She had tried a computer service by phone, and they were unable to solve her current problem of a malfunctioning router and loss of internet connection. In addition she had removed the router and then reconnected it and now was unsure if she had everything connected correctly. She didn't know of anyone locally who could come to her house and help her. In desperation she called me to come and help her, but since I live 1.5 hours away, I didn't know when I was going to be able to get over there to help. So I checked Angie's List and found Computer Works in Fairhope, and emailed them an inquiry on Sunday. On Monday I received a very helpful email from Shawn, who told me that he could go to their house and the charge would be $70 per hour, he could bring a new router ($45) if it was needed, and he expected the work would take less than an hour. He said he could contact my step-mom and arrange to go out there the next day. My step-mom called me a few days later, and was over-the-top happy with the service she received. Shawn's son came out and resolved the internet/router problem, and at her request fixed the printer that had stopped working and updated her computer, so that everything was fully functional again. She said he was very nice, was extremely helpful, and felt the cost was very reasonable. He was there for about 2 hours or so. She is so happy to now have someone that she can call when things go awry with her computer. As she said, and quot;older people like us need someone like this who can come out and fix our computers.and quot;

Two people arrived to work on the systems. The computer work was done well, but testing fixes needed to be initiated by the customer. Surround sound solution was not good. When using this vendor I would stick to computer issues.

I have used this company on several occasions during the past several years, ranging from a computer that died of old age, to one fried by a lightning strike, to purchasing a new computer, to router/modem infighting to now removing a disabling virus. I have always been happy with their service and pricing. Travis and his father Shawn are personable, professional and quick responders. I don't hesitate to recommend Computer Works to my friends.
