Description of Work: Old house wiring was confusing for me so they straightened it out correctly so that I could hang a fan.

Description of Work: Unclogged toilet. It went well, only took a few minutes. Just wish we'd had a plumber's snake to do it ourselves.

Description of Work: Have had Goolsby perform work on our house at various times over a 6 year period. Let me say that they always accomplish what you call them for. I would also like to add the fact that the side of our house has about 10 elec boxes??? with plumbing fixtures covering the electrical cables. Once, when they were called out a few years ago, an employee said "yeah, I've been working on this house for 30 years", it kind of gave me a HUGE indication of the problem!! I haven't had them out since. They're prices are high. The quality of work is ok but sometimes questionable. An example is: We had the drain pipe to our washing machine start leaking where it goes into the wall. It was a metal pipe that went into pvc. The Goolsby guy replaced it with a very tall pvc drain pipe that I could see when looking at the washer. When I asked him why it stuck up so far he said because if we ever switch to a high efficiency washer we will wish we has a longer drain pipe (our house does not have a handy box thing that the drain goes into). So here is this 3 foot pvc pipe sticking up behind my washer. What he said made sense..and he left. I ran the washing machine only to watch this pvc pipe do nothing but vibrate violently back and forth. Common sense says that after a few loads of washing, this pipe is going to come loose and leak all over. I called the company and asked if the plumber could come back out and secure the pipe to the wall with some type of bracket, considering the pipe itself was so long and connected to the wall near the floor. They got snotty with me on the phone and asked why I didn't mention this when the plumber was out there. Just remember 30 years working on our home and lots of electrical problems, plumbing fixtures over wiring. The choice is yours to make. We now go with Mr Sparkey out of Dothan.
