The process was positive from start to finish. Mr. Cameron is a natural people person. He absolutely loves his work and appears to be in his own world working on home projects. You must be warned that he is a talker but that in no way hurts his work. I came to notice that he makes very steady progress without burning out his energy. You can interact with him or leave him alone. He seems to be ok with either. He is very relaxed about sharing his knowledge of carpentry and the secrets of wood, of which there are many. I got a bit of a chuckle when I saw him give himself a little high five because his deck finished out true square better than the existing concrete pad.
Description of Work: Mr. Cameron built from ground up a simple 1-level outside deck with 12'x22' of it under a covered patio roof and the remainder uncovered as per our request. We are extremely pleased with the result and upon completion it was hard to know who was more pleased. Mr. Cameron was as proud of the result as we were. I almost did not submit a report since I joined Angie's List simply to get some help in the selection of a contractor but, after being as fortunate as I was with actually finding someone that took pride in their work and had knowledge of their work that only years of experience can give I at least owe Angie's List the courtsey of this report. Mr. Cameron, of course, deserves the accolades due him.

Generally, he was willing to let us give suggestions to improve the design and structure he had in mind. We wanted to have a high level of participation in the project. The project ran over budget a little but that too was due to our own adjustments as we went along. The project was expected to take three days and took five days. We are very pleased with the results.
Description of Work: Built a deck using womanized lumber over a swimming pool we no longer use.

#1 Hard to Be a suited prof.preacher look in 100F blazing heat in Fla.summer with swim shorts,t top .ball cap. #2 He/Customer picked out all the wood. He brought it home his self. his son did a great job unloading and stacking. #3 it's not a Yamaha Piano. #4 remember its a treated wood Deck #5 please have safe ice water.

Description of Work: I originally requested a new deck rearranged and lower to the ground. Mr Cameron suggested reusing the existing deck material, something I had not thought of. His idea saved me over $1500.00 All I need to do is power wash the deck and it will look like new.
