+ -1 moreI had this similar situation with the same appliance and my home warranty company sent someone else and the person that they sent out was very unprofessional. I would just think of that person that go into anybody else hiring him and act the way he did and he had 40 years of experience in the appliance business. He has just been very unprofessional and did not seem to know his trade. It was not a pleasant experience. It was as in the previous case, my refrigerator had flooded and that was when I had Triad where they had to replace my flooring and I had had a leak again but the smaller leak and I was afraid that my new flooring was going to be ruined and so I had to call my home warranty company and my home warranty agency they sent out this company to check into it and this person couldn't find anything wrong with it. I had called a couple of friends that I knew around the area because I was new in the area so I wasn't up on people and wanted to get someone from actual local people and so I was given a name and I just called that company on my own and they came out and there wasn't any time almost and they found the problem. So, comparing that company to the other one, that was like nightmare in day.
Description of Work: They didn't do anything that was part of a problem.

+ -1 moreI was not happy with that company at all. My refrigerator is leaking and it is affecting my floor. The warranty company who sent him told me that they have 64 years of experience. He did not investigate. He stayed for an hour and a half but told me that it was fine. He told me not to worry and everything will be resolved. He sees that my flooring has been taken out because of the leakage. I don't want to place my new flooring because my refrigerator is still leaking somewhere. The appliance company should take part if they have to. They would have to take a look at it. The man is just condescending. He started the company and started it but I would not use that company again. I would not recommend them. They seem to have a good rating when I looked up on them on angie's list. It was a different case for them.

+ -1 moreWe came to the office and quickly realized that one of the units had been running continuously. Our storage room was at least 90 degrees. Because that unit also services the hallway, we had two units competing with each other. The constant heat was causing the air conditioner to run in the remainder of that portion of the building. Cosby's was called early that morning and arrived within an hour or two. They diagnosed the problem as a faulty thermostat and replaced it on the spot. No more problems. They worked quickly and cleaned up their mess before leaving. They are very conscious of the fact that we were trying to run a business while they were working. They were very quiet and accommodating.
Description of Work: We have an office with 8 heat/AC units. So, we are in frequent need of repairs. They come promptly when called and stay with the problem until it is fixed. They are professional, courteous, and offer very helpful suggestions. Wouldn't call anyone else.

They have provided a high standard of work ethic, and their charges are fair, and they gaurantee their work. His strict standard of satisfaction has always been #1 with his customers.
Description of Work: My attic was checked for ventilation leaks, and the A/C unit was serviced with freon (sp) added. The fan motor was cleaned and the thermostate check for accuracy. All systems are working smoothly.

+ -1 moreMr. Cosby has been my Heating and Cooling Serviceman for the last 10 years. I just joined Angie's list. My home airconditioning unit was installed in 1983 and is still running having only replaced the outside condenser fan and inside thermostat. Another service company was replaced 10 years ago because they placed immense pressure on me to replace my A/C unit citing all kinds of Alice-in-wonderland savings with the new unit. I did a cost study and determioned it would take 30 years to break even with the replacement assuming no out of warranty service was ever needed! Mr. Cosby continues to keep my unit serviced. Mr. Cosby is a fine honest Christian whom I believe would never cheat anyone.
Description of Work: Analog, mercury type thermostat replaced with a digital programmable. Annual Freon check and general cleaning of coils (inside and out) and oiling the condenser fan motor.

Description of Work: A strange residue in my Dishwasher was diagnosed as nothing but accumulated broiling grease. My Cosby went the extra mile and insured the unit was functioning normally. At a very reasonable price.

+ -1 moreDue to the short overnight time frame between Cosby leaving and our discovery the following morning, I believe Cosby Heating was responsible for the missing coil and the de-sautered compressor for later use if we bought their new $3900 system, and a police report was submitted to that effect. This theft has cost us over $600 and much time and money (at least $500 in labor). Under no circumstances would I hire this company again or recommend them.
Description of Work: I had used this company for repairs several times at this residence previously. They had generally charged $300 to $400 to "unfreeze" the air conditioning unit, which I now realize was probably due to a slow leak in the Freon, although that was never mentioned by Cosby. On Thurs, June 10, 2010 we called them to "unfreeze" or repair the system. Freon was put into the system, but the tenant called to say the system quit working overnight. We called Cosby again. On Fri evening around 8 pm, Cosby called to say the coils in both the inside and outside units did not work, and he could not repair it. We would need a new unit for $3900. (The outside unit was only 3 yrs old, but Jason Cosby claimed it was "old".) I said we would look at other options since the cost was too high. The tenant called to say that in the past she could wait 30 mins, the unit would unfreeze, and she could start it again. She stated that after Mr. Jason Cosby left Fri evening, the unit would not come back on at all (like there was no electricity to it). Early the following morning (Sat), my brother went to install a window unit until we could find something else. He immediately discovered that the coil in the outside unit was MISSING and the compressor had been de-sautered from the unit. We called the police and submitted a report of theft. I called Mr. Cosby to ask who his bond company was, which he would not disclose. Later Dennis Cosby (his father or uncle) called regarding the problem. He called the police station regarding my report and asked to see the unit. The police allowed him to "look" at the unit, but I requested that it not be "touched" until we'd taken photographs. The following week, we bought another unit to install and found that Cosby had been there (in the tenant's absence) and put a "replacement" unit there -- which did not work. A neighbor said she'd seen a white van pull into the driveway that week. We made a follow-up police report.
