Description of Work: They replaced my air conditioner. They were late arriving. I was very disappointed in the installers, since I specifically pointed out my flower beds and asked them not to trample them. I came outside to check on the progress. After I waited about 5 minutes for the installer to get off an obviously personal call on his cell phone, I finally had to interrupt him to ask him why he was piling bricks on top of my flowers in my flower beds.

We apologize for any excessive damage to your flower bed. Your unit was being converted from a split system to a package system, which is very invasive due to the need to cut through your foundation wall to run the supply and return duct out to the unit. We hope the money we have reimbursed you will take care of this. Unfortunately, we were not made aware of any of your complaints until we received this review, three months after the job was installed, or we would have remedied it sooner. Also, it is customary for our installers to call first thing in the morning to give you their approximate arrival time. I see they arrived at 8:45. If this is different than the time they told you, or if they failed to call you at all on their way, again we apologize. Customer satisfaction is Valley’s top priority, so please do not hesitate to call us should you ever have any issues.

Description of Work: My system was shot. They installed a new system for me. The first installation was poorly installed( drain pan leaked) . They had to come back and completely reinstall the system.

Our prices may be a little more than some of our competitors due to the fact that we employ so many team members to ensure we can provide same day service to all our customers. If we reduce the amount of team members we could lower prices but our ability to provide service the same day would suffer. From our experience customers seem to value our quick response time more than the ten or twenty dollar difference when their heating and cooling system is down at the worst possible time. Thank you again for your comments we find value in hearing what our customers have to say about us. It offers us a chance to improve our operation.

First time I used them is because my husband had used them. They found the problem. They took three months to get back on it. Then they put that in. When it was time to switch my air conditioning to heat, it won’t switch over. They had to come and do that. It took them about three months to do that. I’m not happy with them. This summer it won’t switch back to the air conditioning. They had to come back and order a part that just ran out of warranty. It was another $500. I had to give the same part twice to fix. I would never use them in the future again.

We at Valley are sorry that you had an unpleasant experience using our company. We strive to take care of all our clients. We reviewed the file and found we replaced a motor in 12/20/10 for your American Standard System. It took two months for the part to arrive. We were called again in 7/20/11 for the control board malfunction. This problem was a seperate component. It is true that the parts did take an exessive amount of time but price and availability of parts are beyond our control. Valley Heating and Cooling does not charge for work until it is completed. We have intentions of completing tasks/jobs as soon as possible. Again, I am sorry; we should have done a better job of addressing this issue, and we will use this experience to promote better communication between our techs and our customers.

They came right on time and got right to the job at hand. Shawn and John changed out the board and resolved several other issues with that system to get it up and running again. They also made sure my other system was operating properly and found that it needed a new condenser as the old one was not putting out the correct voltage which could result in the fan motor dying prematurely. They did a great job of tweaking all of the settings and getting my two systems in excellent running order. They got all this done despite a loss of power due to electrical issues in the kitchen and were patient for the time it took to get an electrician in to fix the issue. I am very happy with the work they did and feel very confident about my systems serving me well from here on out. Kudos to Shawn and John. The bill for today's work was only $590 and for the service call on Saturday it was $69. I am very happy with the value I received. I did not realize they would have to tweak so much after installing the board but they hung with it to get it right.
Description of Work: Came out last Saturday when the heat would not come on. Tech trouble shot and found a bad circuit board on one of my furnaces. Board ordered and they scheduled today, 27 Oct, for the installation.

Our air conditioner stopped cooling during the night, so I called this place first thing in the morning. Guy on the phone couldn't give me an estimate as to when they'd get here, but he thought it would be "some time in the afternoon". Well, the repair technician was here by 10am, and everything was in working order within half an hour. Price paid included a service charge of $69.

Description of Work: The installation was great. When questions were asked they knew the answers. They cleaned up afterwards. Was told if any problems occurred to call and they would be right out. The best thing is the house is very cool inside now no matter how hot it is outside.

John was very professional and did a thorough job of evaluating our two systems and servicing the one unit that required some tweaking. He arrived right on time and went right to work. You could immediately observe that John was knowledgeable and skilled at what he does. He systematically took care of the outside units and condensation lines and then moved into the attic to inspect the furnace/cooler units. We just recently moved to Decatur from Ohio and we had some concerns about our systems' health. We are very happy we chose Valley Heating and Cooling to maintain our systems.
Description of Work: Evaluate and Service two heating and cooling systems. Each unit was $69 with a $10 sign up charge for their MX plan. Unit 1 required a Freon top-off. Cleaned outside compressor coils, flushed condensation lines, inspected electrical and examined electric condensers in Compressor units, Evaluated freon charge and equalization, checked return/vent temperature ratio, inspected two heating/cooling units in the attic. Removed panels to examine furnace combustion chambers, fan and cooling evaporation units.
