Tried another tree company on Angie's list and no answer. I got lucky and called CHRIS FRANCIS TREE CARE. They immediately answered the phone, and had a certified arborist, giving the cost of his care, or the choice of an experienced tree diagnostician who cost nothing to look at the problem. I knew then we were in good hands. If he was unable to help the tree I had the option of the arborist. But the man who came recognized right away what was wrong and treated it at a very reasonable cost. He was full of information and was able to treat the tree that day. It was a wonderful experience. I know who I will call in the future and recommend them to anyone. Truly excellent experience.

Responded immediately to request for estimate. Came next day and gave fair quote for scope of work. Scheduled for April but called with earlier opportunity in March. Had insurance agent provide me with copy of insurance. This is the first time any service provider has done that for me, and I did not even ask for it. Crew arrived on time. There were seven workers, all with matching uniform work shirts and all wore hard hats, again a first for me, They used a bucket truck and worked carefully and professionally removing all three trees. They cleaned up everything when they were finished. They even helped a neighbor with a small job. I was very impressed and will call them again if I need any tree work.

As stated above I had a great deal of tree work to be done. A couple of weeks ago I read Chris's reviews on Angies List and called him. He arrived right on time and we did a walk through on my property. I was VERY impressed with Chris's knowledge of plant species and his recommendations for work that I might consider. Recently Chris came over and we went through the yard again. I felt very comfortable, as I had the first time, that the work would be done satisfactorily. We scheduled the work for Friday, March 6. They called Tuesday, March 3, and said they had an opening and would like to come the next day. I agreed. They arrived exactly at the time they said they would and the work began. Chris, his father Mike, and six gentlemen went to work. It was like watching a beehive in process. I saw truck after truck after truck of debris being removed. The whole process took 8+ hours and the results were beyond my wildest expectations. With all of the work that was done, the yard was left spotless. I couldn't have been more pleased. The trees didn't look "scalped." They just looked healthy and "refreshed!" During the day I would walk around and thanked the guys for the work they were doing. One gentleman answered: "Thank you for the work." It was a "WIN-WIN" project. I got a really good feeling early on that this was going to be pleasant experience and, it was. I've walked around the property three times today and it really looks wonderful. GENTLEMEN, THANK YOU ALL FOR A JOB WELL DONE!

Fantastic! As soon as we confirmed what was to be done, the work was completed two days later. They exceeded my expectations. I was at my home part of the time watching what they did. Later that day when I came home, the yard was perfectly cleaned, as were the driveway and sidewalk, as if no on was even there.

I had heard Chris speak about trees at the Festival of Flowers. The information he shared made me aware that I had some potentially dangerous trees in my yard. I contacted him and scheduled a consultation in August. We did a walk-through of my yard to determine the problem areas. He did not try to talk me into additional services; in fact, he felt that fewer trees needed to be removed than I had thought. Trees that were not a hazard would be left in place. We scheduled a service date in December, which offered me the best discount for the amount of work I was to have done. Chris contacted me ahead of schedule time to update me on schedule status - beginning of work was delayed a day due to the crew finishing previous job; I was kept informed. Chris and the crew were very friendly and professional. Chris obtained permission from neighbors for access to yard to remove cut limbs, and for parking of vehicles. The crew arrived promptly each morning and began work immediately. Very efficient and hard-working crew with good attitudes. They had to come back to finish the job on Christmas Eve due to rain delays earlier in week. Replaced everything they had moved, including re-attaching a pvc water line and re-planting a rose bush. Cleaned up yard as much as possible (it was very muddy due to rain), filled in ruts from dozer. Chris also offered to send someone out later to pressure wash the driveway, if needed, to remove mud stains. I would definitely recommend Chris and his crew for any tree care or removal.

Mike, from Chris Francis Tree Service, responded the next morning after I placed a call requesting service. He came out the same day and explained what needed to be done to ensure the health of the tree as we started some construction in the backyard. The estimate was reasonable (actually less than I was anticipating). They were able to do the trimming within two days of his initial visit. I can honestly say that they exceeded my expectations! The tree even looks healthier! The team was punctual starting early in the morning, working consistently, and did a excellent job of cleaning up the yard and driveway. Overall, very professional job. Will definitely use again if the need arises!

Newly aquired a house with 2 very large and mature live oaks on property. No visible issues to my eyes, but figured a professional assessment would be worthwhile. I figured a tree cutter would naturally recommend some cutting, so saught out a certified arborist hoping for more circumspect advice. Had to reschedule the appointment once due to change on my side, which they were happy to do. They phoned about an hour before to reconfirm, and arrived right on time. We spent about 80 minutes reviewing all dozen-or-so mature trees on the property and me getting a schooling in their care, habits and purpose from the professor. As his credentials imply, Chris has a comprehensive technical knowledge, also coupled with extensive local experience, so I took several pages of notes to capture all his practical advice. He offered numerous sensible suggestions for improvements, but (happily) didn't identify any serious issues to alrm me, so I took his advice as genuine. He communicated enthusiasm for doing any maintenance work I decide on, and offered several different options to consider. Overall I had first class professional experience with them, would definitely consider them for tree work, and would highly recommend their consultation for anyone needing to assess their trees.

They did an absolutely wonderful job! They were prompt, cleaned up after themselves, and were very careful not to damage the lawn or grounds or anything else. They could not have been any better!

I met Chris at the Daphne Home Show and was impressed with his credentials. I had a little trouble getting in touch with him but once I did and he came out I realize that someone with such credentials and knowledge was worth the wait. I'm from Illinois so many of the trees and scrubs in my yard I'm unfamiliar with. Chris took the time to educate me of the species and care of almost everything in my yard. The very next day he called me back with info on something he wanted to verify for me. I'm planning on having him take a tree down and do some trimmings of other trees.

Chris is very professional. I have used him several times. He lets you know exactly when he will be there. If things change, he lets you know ahead of time. He shows up when he says he will. He came with 3-4 trucks and about 10 men. They got so much work done in one day. They clean up after themselves. I have used him for tree service and landscaping service when he was doing that. I was very sad when he told me that he was no longer doing the landscaping because he has been so great to work with!

They were great and did a good job. I was planning on doing all of the work myself but wanted a professional opinion of what needed to be done.

We have lots of big, old trees in various degrees of health. Chris--who is a certified arborist--inspected each tree and suggested what to trim, remove or leave alone. He provided a very thorough consultation and was conservative in what he suggested to cut. Chris bored into several trees that required additional examination, probing for rot. Most were fine. He noted Formosean termites in one tree and cut out the affected area and treated the rest. The work took about three days. Chris or Mike (the business owners) were on site most of the time and their crew cut everything they said they would for the price quoted. Branches were lowered slowly by ropes, to avoid damaging our house, breaking mature shrubbery below, or rutting the lawn. Before departing they cleaned up everything and left the grounds as if they were never there. Two weeks after the job was complete, we noticed a dead branch at the top of a tree, which was hard to see, that the men had missed. The following day, they arrived in a bucket truck and removed it. In sum, we couldn't be more pleased. I've used several different tree companies in the past. Some were slightly less expensive but left me with major headaches. These guys were the best.

They were great. I called several other tree companies in town and many of them didn't show up on time, were outrageously expensive. These guys came out, did all of the work that was promised and left my backyard looking better than it did when they got there. Everything was clean, and the crew was really nice and professional. Chris Francis and his dad (who was the main point of contact) are very knowledgeable, and I hope to have them out again someday to help me with my landscaping.

Didn't perform any work, but they don't call back when they say they will... Hard to get a hold of

My husband called Chris Francis Landscapes and Trees Service the first week of July 2012. His call was never returned. He did not speak with Mr. Francis directly but left a message with the individual who answered the contact number.

He is very professional and very knowledgable. He is very educated on trees and shrubs. He knows how things react to temperatures and climates. He make some good suggestions for us based on what we liked. He gave an honest assessment. I really liked it.

I was waiting for the estimate and I called and they never called me back, they had just forgotten I guess. Then later Mr. Francis did call and said they screwed up and dropped the ball and forgot about me. He was very nice and truely sorry. Things happen like that. He checked into it and said they did drop the ball and he was very, very sorry about it. He couldn't correct it at that point because he hadn't done any work and I had already hired someone else, but I did appreciate the fact that he called and apologized. Sometimes things happen and it doesn't mean it's a bad business. In the future I would call them again simply because he was very, very nice on the phone and in my mind was truely sorry, he was very professional and a true business person.

We called to ask for a quote on removing a tree that was dying from our front yard. Mike Francis came out the same day and gave me the estimate of $350.00. After looking at Angie's list, I decided that seemed to be a good price and it included the stump grinding. We set up a day and time suitable for both of us. Later they emailed us a copy of their insurance and the estimate. On the day we set, they were delayed, but called and kept me informed. Four men came, with all the equipment they needed, and about 45 minutes later they had completely removed the tree and stump, and had cleaned up my yard and the street. There was very little damage to my yard.
