We entered into a contract with Margie Loosier Owner of Inline fence to construct a wooden shadowbox fence around our back yard and re-installation of a partial vinyl fence at the back property line. Construction was to start mid-June upon completion of a cinderblock retaining wall (contractor hired was referred to us by Mrs. Loosier). Fence construction started late and has been was very sporadic throughout (only a couple of workers would show up and work no more than ½ day if at all). Inferior products ( knot holes, warped boards with deep sawmill marks, split wood planks, etc) were used and then removed at our request ( no quality control by owners) As well there was inferior workmanship on the installation & painting. With less than 20% completed a contract addendum was signed requiring the fences to be completed within 3 additional weeks at which time the balance would be paid. Mrs. Loosier signed the contract and initialed each page and paragraph requiring fence completion or refund. When the deadline was up, the fence was less than 30% completed. Mrs. Loosier asked for another extension which was denied based on the minimal work completed in previous 3 weeks. A letter requesting refund (as agreed to in writing) was sent and received at Inline fence company on 08/22/11. There has been neither refund nor further communications with Mr or Mrs Loosier.Complaint was filed with the BBB Complaint Case#31024630- No communication to BBB either. They talk a GOOD talk, seem knowledgeable about fence construction and remorseful about delays, make MANY promises and even sign contracts which contain specifics and timelines but took NO ACTION to correct the situation. Remember the money pit " 2 more weeks" that is how we feell though we never got to the completed project ( less than 30%) in over 3 months
Description of Work: We entered into a contract with Margie Loosier owner of Inline fence to construct a wooden shadowbox fence around our back yard and re-installation of a partial vinyl fence at the back property line. Construction was to start mid-June and be completed in 2-3 weeks. In 3 months the job was at max 30% completed and what was done was of poor quality (warped boards, etc). Complaint was filed with the BBB Complaint Case#31024630- No communication from Inline to BBB either.
