I was very happy. He did a diagnostic and added freeon to the unit. He is also very professional and the prices are very reasonable.

First he came out and checked every part of my system. He even had meters to check the air flow of the air vents. I had 5 different AC companies out before him and no one did a fraction of what he did. They all charged me for replacing parts that did not fix my problem. He checked my attic and told me I needed more insulation and that was the cause of the mold in my bathroom. After I added more insulation he came back out to redo his inspections. I still needed a new AC but at least I finally knew what was causing the mold. He charged me almost half of the other estimates I received. He always returns calls quickly. I will always use Indoor AIr.

We bought our home less than a year ago. When we moved in, I noticed a musty odor in the house. I also noticed some fuzzy blackish-green round colonies growing around some of the upstairs air registers. We called in a mold expert and the HVAC company that the previous owners had used. Both assured us that it was not mold and just dirt. Although I was skeptical of their conclusion, we did nothing at that time.In August, the smell became unbearable. I found Indoor Air Cleaning and Services on Angie's list. Rickey came and investigated. He opened up our air ducts and showed me the mold growth inside. He also found that there was insufficient insulation around where the air registers were connected to the attic air ducts providing the perfect damp, dark environment for mold growth since the hot humid Alabama air could condensate inside the air ducts. He gave us a quote to clean the air ducts and seal up around the air registers. He also told us about installing a UV light. We hired him.He communicates well with his customers. He is there when he says he will be there, he does the work he says he going to do, and he does it at the price he quotes. I saw how well they cleaned the air registers and the area around them, how they insulated and sealed the area between them and the attic, and was given instruction on how to maintain the UV light system. The main thing is my upstairs does not have the musty odor anymore. It smells fresh and clean.We will need to replace our very old downstairs HVAC unit in the next few years and I now have an HVAC company that I can trust to do things the right way.

They spent an entire day in my attic replacing a unit, between the two of them I bet they lost 20 pounds in water weight! Every aspect of their services and work was superior, I could not have been more impressed.

Upstairs heat pump unit began freezing up at the suction side outdoor condenser. Turning unit off for awhile and replacing filters kept it running for awhile. It began doing it more frequently so I knew I needed refrigerant. I looked on Angie's list and found several companies with A ratings, but Indoor Air was close to my neighborhood and also had an all A rating. I called and got the voicemail, then as I was leaving a message a got another call on call waiting and it was Rickey Kendrick of Indoor Air calling me back! By the way, this was a Saturday morning around 11 AM, he said he could come by in about an hour and by 12 noon he was in my driveway. I had purchased this house last year and didn't know the history of the units so I asked him if he would do a genral service and he charged me a spring cleaning special for both units even though it was already June 30th. He also found the leak (upstairs air handler evap coil) and charged the outside unit up, and topped of the other downstairs unit. He also rerouted one small run of ductwork. He only charged me for the freon and spring cleaning, he did not try to sell me anything but gave me some quotes in case I wanted to replace anything. He said I could probably get by another year or two with existing setup. This person is a stand up guy and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing HVAC service or installation.

He came out to my home first thing that morning and discovered I had a leak in freon. He replenished the freon. My HVAC system was ancient, so I asked him for quotes to replace it. I love Rickey's technology use-- he emailed me a few quotes which seemed very reasonable. (He also wears a Bluetooth so he can readily respond to calls!)I actually opted to have another company install our AC only because we discovered these were family friends (best to keep the peace), otherwise I would surely have had Rickey install the new AC. I highly recommend Rickey's company, as evidenced by my adding another and quot;Aand quot; to his company rating on Angie's List! He is very prompt, friendly, focused on delivering best service and products. I think he's an honest service provider!

Ricky Kendrick of Indoor Air Cleaning and Service Company is the best. He has always responded immediately to our requests for service and assistance. I highly recommend him and his organization.

Absolutely the best and most professional repair service we have ever experienced on anything. Our 5 ton air conditioning went out Saturday on Labor Day weekend. We called a large well-known company early Tuesday to come out. They couldn't give us an exact time when they could get to us. When they got here they told us the compressor was bad and had to be replaced. They said it might take a couple of days if they had to order it. We decided to get another quote before committing since it was around $2500. We looked on Angie's List and called Ricky Kendrick of Indoor Air Heating and Cooling at 205 462-1500 at 11 am. He said he could be here at 1 p.m. Before 1 p.m. Ricky Kendrick was at the door. He tested it and confirmed it was the compressor. He suggested we buy a whole new air conditioning unit because it would be less expensive than replacing just the compressor. The price he quoted for the new unit was several hundred dollars below the previous quote from the first company for just the compressor alone.( We had not told him what the previous quote for just the compressor was. )We asked him to give us a quote on replacing our 26 year old furnace also. We decided to go ahead and replace our entire heating and cooling system. We mentioned the discount he listed on Angie's List for being a member for and he gave us a 10% discount. Ricky placed the order for the units and the next morning he was here before 7 a.m. with the units. He and his helper put down drop cloths over the concrete floor in the basement to keep it clean when they accessed the crawl space. They worked all day without even stopping for lunch. Around 3 p.m. they finished installing almost everything including a new smart thermostat. Ricky explained thoroughly (twice) how the new thermostat worked. He checked the vents to make sure the air was flowing well. The air was cool and comfortable. He explained that he would also be installing a pump to take the water out of the crawl space and would be able to do it the following Tuesday. (The old unit just dripped water into the crawl space.) He called the next day to check that we did not have any questions. He also remembered it was my husband's birthday and wished him happy birthday. On Friday he called to say he could come out Monday with the pump. He came out first thing Monday and installed the pump. We had almost forgotten what real customer service felt like until our experience with Ricky Kendrick at Indoor Air Heating and Cooling.

My older home had a musty smell no matter how much I cleaned. Other companies came and gave me estimates around $3,000 to correct the problem. Indoor Air was the only company who planned to install ultraviolet lights to kill mold and spores before they developed. So after thoroughly cleaning all of my duct work, the lights were installed. The cost was around $1200 which included a mold test. My home has never smelled so fresh and clean. I have been able to throw away all of the plug ins that I was using to mask the smell. If you have an older home or are on a crawl space.....this is a MUST in order for you to experience clean healthy air.
