We decided to put wood flooring in our fairly large family room after having to recarpet four times. We knew of Cross Flooring(Dustin) because he floored our son's entire home. Because we already had 45 year old wood flooring abutting the family room, we asked Dustin if he could match it. He said it would be pretty close and he was right! It is not just "pretty close". You can't tell this flooring was laid 45 years later other than it has no scratches. They moved our furniture out, pulled up the carpeting and pad, replaced some subflooring and then the real work began. Red oak was laid in the same width and pattern as our other wood. Then came the sanding and staining and three coats of sealer. Total time from start to finish was 7 days. The results are magnificent. I am so impressed. Attention to detail is unbelievable. Because of some built in cabinets next to our fireplace that were built on carpeting, Dustin determined that quarter-round would not work so he used a more robust moulding and it just adds an extra touch of class. Although we did not have this done, he will even make air vents out of wood to match your floor. The day after the third coat of sealer, he and his crew came and moved all the furniture back in. They hooked up our rather complicated big screen TV/sound system. They plugged in all the lights and phone. They hung all my pictures. They moved our foyer furniture back in. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with Dustin and his crew. I would highly recommend Cross Flooring if you want a hand-laid wood floor. You WILL NOT be sorry!

Within a few months of install, stairs started making noise. I call him many times, but no response. He did come back one time to check and found the problem. He said he will come back to fix, but never showed up. Left many massages, but no response. Now there are many cracks in the stairs and have to pay someone else to fix all this.

My husband taught at one of the universities here and he was one of the students years ago. He went out and bought this company and he is doing great, he has two big trucks and twenty people working for him, and he is still young, so we are just very proud of him. He does a beautiful job and stands behind it. He is kind of low key, he knows his wood, he does hardwood, and he sands and finishes them. He does carpets, laminate and tiles, he does it all and does a beautiful job and of course, he has a good rapport with my husband. It is not an old company, he probably would have started eight years ago, and he is a million dollars last year. His name is Dustin Claus. I would recommend him to anybody that is having their floors done.
