AMERIGAS

These people are absolutely unreliable. I have lost count of the number of times my tank has gone empty, and they are not at all responsive when I call them to come by and fill it. The contract with them came with the house, and have changed ownership many times since them. As soon as this season is over, I am dropping them for somebody, anybody. It can't be worse. Just for the record, the dates and spending above are just place holders. The date could be any time in the last five years, and I have probably spent a couple of thousand dollars over the last five years.

I paid my annual tank rental fee in June, 2011. Amerigas did not post the payment. They continued to bill me and charge me late fees until late September, 2011, even after I sent them copies of the cancelled check. I called customer service multiple times and got the run-around about the bill being "investigated." They finally relented when I threatened to file a complaint with the BBB and tell my Angie's List friends. I probably would have let it go at that, except--the very same day they credited my account, they had a truck sneak out to my house while I was gone and fill my tank--even though I had requested to be a "will call" customer, not an automatic fill customer. The tank was nearly full anyway, but they were able to cram in another 25 gallons. The price of the gas was a little more than the original tank fee, so they will get their money out of me anyway. That's just slimy. I'm done with them.
