This is the plumber that I have used twice to undo and repair the shoddy workmanship and repairs done by my previous plumber. I had a pipe burst in my garage that was installed by my previous plumber. I called Wilbur's and a master plumber was at my house withing 30 minutes of calling. The repairs were completed within an hour. I was expecting to have to wait several days before I saw a repairman. Wilbur's is an outstanding plumbing service.

All estimates given up front, scope of work was clearly explained to me by Jason. As the work progressed if he ran into problems or concerns he let me know immediately. Jason found and showed me some other problems I had not anticipated. I never felt pressured to go with his plan to include a fix for those problems, too. Everyone on the team was extremely polite and punctual. If, during the job, they had to leave my home for any reason, they let me know why before leaving.

We had a problem with low water pressure in the house and the sound of running water. We called the plumber that we had been using in the past. They mis-diagnosed the problem saying that there was a leak and suggested that we call a leak detection specialist. We did so and were told that there were no leaks and that a water pressure valve was needed. We called Wilbur's and the problem was confirmed, and the valve replaced. We now have the correct water pressure throughout the house.

These guys are awesome. Felt cared for and they were willing to teach me about what they were doing as a first time homeowner.

Wilbur's was quick to come out to fix our plumbing issue. The guys were extremely friendly, willing to discuss the problems and solutions, offered advice and completed the repairs same day. They cleaned up and took precautions as to not track dirt into the home as the needed to be inside and out. Great experience!

UPDATED REVIEW: I'm upgrading my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. The reason is once the owner/service manager got wind of my bad and grossly over-charged service call, he contacted me directly and even came out to my house to take a first-hand look, and after he personally inspected and evaluated the job and to his credit, he refunded us 68% of the total charge of $624. He also checked our water heater configuration for carbon monoxide leaks and gave advice on what's considered out of code and what's considered in code. I must say most other companies wouldn't even bother to do a follow-up phone call, much less come out to your house and personally issue a refund. So kudos to Wilbur ACH&P for having very proactive customer service and marketing departments. Why only 3 stars? Well, this bad experience did actually happen. We can't just simply erase from memory the reality of enduring such a perplexing experience of how replacing a water heater shut-off valve (a replacement valve I had) could cost 624 bucks! Most importantly, however, they did make it right at the end of the day.

They were outstanding. Very very kind people to work with and they were very efficient, decent, effective, on time and I will highly recommend.

Jonathan and Justin were amazing! Jonathan made sure to explain everything he was about to do or had done in the most friendly and professional manner. I highly recommend anyone to use Wilbur’s for their services!

The work went very well. Brian was very thorough. He found the problem and investigated the cause. If something need to be repaired, it was done. If something needed replaced, with my permission, it was done. If he needed an assist from someone at the office, the person came, and the problem was solved. In the details that are coming further into this review, you will see what was accomplished. My house is now safe.

Justin did a great job and he was probably the most polite and considerate person I've met this month! He was professional, competent and a very good representative for Wilbur's.

We have a 50 yr old home with old pipes… Jonathan and Justin were friendly and professional and very transparent with several options/estimates they offered. For such dirty work, they were very tidy.

Ryan and Jonathan were A++++ techs for the sewer line dig out, replace and fill. Professionals at their work, polite, courteous, and knowledgable. Wilbur's is a MUST-USE service for the Birmingham area!

Jacob and Devin were on time and ready to get started when they arrived at our home. Both Jacob and Devin were very respectful before and after installation. They both very helpful in answering any questions that we had. Jacob and Devin were very professional in character and in their work they performed.We had new air and heating system installed. Looking at the work they did was like "wow" everything they did was clean and sharp looking. The job was done right and they cleaned up before they left. What a great experience and peace of mind. You can not go wrong with this company. Keep up the great work!!!

Brewster is timely, friendly and professional. I switched to Wilbur's from another HVAC company that priced itself out of the market. The cost of the annual maintenance is $300 for two separate HVAC systems serviced in the Spring and Fall. Although Brewster was maintaining the heating unit, he found an AC problem that had gone undetected.

He noticed a serious issue with my gas exhaust. He explained it to me and the problems it could lead to. Could have been very dangerous. He came, fixed the problem, installed the gas line and was very professional and clean

They were outstanding. They were here when they said they were going to be. Always on-time. Very prompt and gracious. I can't say enough about how great they are.

My niece scheduled to have her cloth's dryer vent cleaned to satisfy a home inspection. The appointment was set for Friday, June 28, 2019, at 12:30 PM. Both her mother and I stayed at the home and waited for the technician while my niece went to her closing. Wilbur's technician never showed up or called. Sometime after six thirty that evening, my niece was able to got in touch with a man at Wilbur's. The man informed her that the company did not clean cloth's dryer vents, unless they could clean the whole house duct work. Despite the fact that the appointment was set in advance and Wilbur's made the scheduling error they did not contact my niece. Instead, they did nothing. She could have found another company to do the work. The man my niece spoke with Friday evening stated that the HVAC manager, Robert, would call her. Robert never called her, but I received a missed call from Robert after 7:30 pm that evening. I reached out to Robert several times following the missed call and he never responded. I called Wilbur's office, first thing Monday morning, July 01, 2019, and requested to speak with the office manager. The receptionist took a message and no returned my call.

Technician was on time and quickly fixed the problem.

Had an issue with my sewage ejection pump. Wilburs came out and didn't even take it apart and said the pump and basin needed to be replaced. Sent quote for $3600 (with a 5% discount it was $3439). Had second plumber (Git er done) come look and he unclogged the pump and got it working in about 30 minutes Charged me $125. Even if it wasn't completely unnecessary, Wilbur's claim that $3439 was a reasonable charge for a pump replacement is crazy. The whole pump with basin costs less than $600 brand new. There was no reason to replace the basin as it was completely intact and unharmed. It's not a hard install as mine is easily accessible in my basement and the whole top of the pump/basin comes off easily. $3000 for an install that would have taken 2 hours is crazy.
