Called Wilburs, said they couldn't come out until next day, but would be first stop so would be between 8 and 9. They arrived after 9, but that's fine. They went through a battery of sales pitches for other services and finally got down to the problem at hand. The professional assessment amounted to running water in the sink and watching it back up and pronounced, yes, you have a clogged sink! They proceeded to unclog the sink finally. Including the sales pitch and paper work, they were at my house less than an hour. I also received an estimate to replace my garbage disposal. The estimate to install a $86 disposal was $560. I understand the philosophy of quality service comes at a higher price, but $464 to unclog a sink?... they have priced themselves out of any future business from me.

They were great on the phone at helping to set up the appointment, but the repairmen were almost 2 hours late when they did show up. The people on the phone were really good at keeping in contact and letting me know about how much later the team would be there and when I called to get an update they answered the call and answered my questions professionally and apologized for the delay in repairmen getting there because they had been tied up a previous job. The water/leak Inspection and toilet tune-up went ok. Promo price through Angie's list $152. They replaced one toilet's flapper and checked for any water leaks. The service technicians were professional and were able to explain the problems with the toilets and how it could make me have a higher than normal water bill. I was quoted prices for repairs that I think are very high. I was verbally quoted $190 just to replace the toilet handle (they call it a leaver) because the chain leading from the handle can catch the flap and not let it close all the way at times which causes the toilet to keep running. They were able to demonstrate the problem so I could see what was happening. When I started to research repair costs, I looked up a toilet lever (handle) at Lowe's and the part only costs $7.99 that is $182.01 in labor charges for a less than 15 minute job to change the toilet handle. Some handles did cost around $25 but most were under $10. The verbal quote for the center tank valve assembly replacement was $485. The center tank valve assembly needed to be replaced because it was leaking water from the tank into the toilet bowl, no exterior leaks (price also included replacing toilet handle). Their quote for installing a new toilet for just labor was $399 and no guarantee on the installation; the labor price at Lowe's $150 and haul away old one for $10 and install was guaranteed. I ended up going to Lowe's buying an elongated trusted brand Kohler and having it installed for a grand total of $395 or so. It is guaranteed labor so, any problems and they come out and fix it at no additional cost.

I cannot recall the cost. We usually have them out like two or three times a year to do stuff. They provide a comprehensive service for an air conditioner, heating, plumbing. So, that's one call for almost everything except electrical. They have fair pricing.

They're respectful, dress neatly and they're in your house and they're respectful of that. They wear their little booties and their general behavior. They're polite and professional.

It was actually for several different things. I would recommend them because it's a one-stop shop for plumbing and A/C.

We called Wilbur's and talked to Jessica, she explained how everything would happen and that they give upfront prices and did work the same day. It happened that we needed to replace our 15 year old water heater... It was more than we wanted to spend but they had financing options! Allen came out and replaced the water heater and our water is much hotter than the 15 year old water heater was producing! He even put on pink booty shoe cover things before he came in the house. They are a great company to work with, I would recommend them!

They also brought the water heater up to code because I've lived here for over 20 years. The workers are professional. It didn't take them too long this time. Maybe an hour or two.

Not very well. Plumber (who was very nice - this is not his fault, he had no control over the price) quoted me a price from Wilbur's pricelist of $881.00 (which included a $49.00 trip charge). Needless to say, I sent Mr. Wilbur on his way with NO work done, after paying the $49.00 trip charge. I called another plumber after he left and was quoted approx. $260.00. So, if you want to use Wilbur's it sure will be easier on everyone involved if you get a quote before he comes out!!

We contacted Wilbur's because they had replaced a drain trap/arm for us previously and it had started leaking, subsequently ruining that part of the cabinetry. Since it had been less than a year, it was still under warrantee, so we needed them to handle it. In addition, we needed them to replace one of the heating elements in our water heater. The part costs less than $15 at any hardware store and should have taken under an hour to swap with the defective one. On the scheduled day, Wilbur's pushed back our appointment twice before rescheduling us for the weekend. They pushed that appointment back, too, and tried to cancel again, but we refused because we were tired of cold showers. The plumber showed up at 9:30 p.m., confirmed exactly what I told him was wrong, then tried to charge us almost $600, citing a "weekend fee," despite the fact that they pushed us into the weekend--it wasn't our preference. We had to haggle with him and his boss to get them to cover the damage to our cabinets. Then we rescheduled for a weekday to avoid the fee. When he returned, he was polite, but he clearly didn't have any experience with water heaters. He finally claimed to have figured it out and told us it would take a few hours for the water to heat up. It never did. We called back and the next night he brought another plumber and they finally managed to fix the problem... for now?

I called at 9 and by 10:20 the plumber was there, working away on a Saturday night. This was the second time I've used Wilbur's. Will definitely use again.

After checking the plumbing, they were honest enough to let me know they thought the issue was with septic instead. It was great to get some straight answers. We got them to also begin maintenance on the HVAC and they found issues the last company ignored. We'll use them from now on!

Very good. Water pressure is like it was when the house was brand new.

Crew showed up on time and were very friendly and professional. They answered all our questions and gave a full detail of the options available for the repair or a replace if I chose. The replace option was offered but it never felt 'pushy'. Once I chose to do a repair they worked quickly and the toilet now operates *better* than when it was new. Would use them again. The only con I would give is it did take more than 48 hours to hear back from them when I bought my coupon on Angie's List. But the service coupon was fully honored.

I purchased a Big Deal through Angie's List for $49 for $100 Credit Toward Licensed Plumbing or HVAC Services. This provider wanted an additional $177 to complete the job. I had already gotten quotes from two other providers who were only going to charge $100. I thought this deal would take care of it but decided not to use the deal.

I highly recommend this company. They were prompt to get with me, called before they came to my house, and performed all the items quoted. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was fixed before they left. Jonathan and the man that came with him to fix the ductwork were very nice. Glad I used them and will definitely use this company again!

They were very prompt and friendly. They were also very professional. They took care of any questions that I did have. It was overall a very good experience.

Wilbur applied $49 towards travel cost and provided a $100 discount for services rendered. The plumber showed up on time and quoted what we felt was an error in charges to repair a drain under the bathroom sink and a leaking shower faucet, but we needed it fixed immediately since we were selling our house. I called the owner of the company and he stated the charges were normal, but did provide a 5% discount on the charges. We declined the discount because we were not calling to try to get a discount when we felt the charges were a couple hundred dollars over what we felt is normal. The plumber was there one hour and probably used about $50 in materials to fix the two issues and charged us $463 on top of the $100 credit we received as part of our purchase of the $49 for $100 of service. We feel the charges were very high and really feel like we were taken advantage of due to our situation of selling the house. The house is vacant and a sign in the front yard. Mr. Wilbur was very nice, but we will not use their services in the future.

It was fine. They're very expensive.

They came and repaired a leaky toilet and a stopped up bathroom sink. Two days later I discovered the toilet was still leaking. I had not noticed it right away because I had a 12-pack of toilet paper sitting on the floor next to the commode, and it was absorbing the water from the leak. Not only did they come out the next day and repair it, but Lacey, their in-office person, sent the repairman along with a new 12-pack of toilet paper. I had just mentioned the toilet paper in passing to explain why I had not called sooner about the leak. I never expected her to go above and beyond and provide another pack. That kind of customer service is rare!

They were late and it was the Thursday before the 4th of July. I understand about running behind and I expect that from time to time so not a real concern. They finally showed up and looked at the job, I was expecting a cost, t the most, $300.00 but when I was told that minimum was $425.00 and if a 2nd machine was used ( snaking rod used from that to extend the current machine) the price could go as high as $800.00. I am a maintenance & engineering manager for a large company located in Jefferson County. I am fully aware of the prevailing rates for most contracted services. The last time I had the same drain cleared a year ago, I used a competitor and was charged $275.00 for about 45 minute of actual onsite work. I promptly told them there services were not needed (let them know price was the reason) paid them their $49.00 call out fee and watched them drive away. There service technicians were professional and courteous while they were onsite. The cost is very prohibitive for such a simple job. Normally I do not write reviews and I should have enquired about pricing before scheduling them to come; but I feel a particular reason to let the community know to check basic pricing before scheduling an appointment. I might be wrong but it appears they have a pricing list that is job specific. I do not know there pricing for other plumbing work but if this is any indication, I would estivate it is 50 - 60 % over as well.
