I appreciated how quickly the plumber arrived, especially on a Saturday. Even though the cost was a hit to our wallet, that was to be expected for the everything involved in this repair, and it was not out of line compared to other plumbers I've used. He talked through all our options and pricing--bandaid fix vs. complete fix--and thoroughly answered all our questions before starting work. He was not thrown off by our wonky 1920s building with ancient pipes. We still have some drywall repair to do, but he was very neat in cutting the hole, and installed a temporary patch so that we weren't left with a big hole in the meantime. I would definitely use this provider again.

well the two guys who came today were respectful and went right to work finding the leak in the faucet in the Master Bathroom..He found out the faucet leaked due to the part that controlled the water coming through was in need of replacing; however, since we had purchased the faucet from Home Depot years ago, they no longer make parts for the faucet. This is what we were told by the Dispatch No. 114008. I suggested going to Home Depot and buying another one immediately, as I lived only 2 miles from the nearest one. He said we would be charged another service fee, as they would need to come back later to install it. He suggested we look at their faucets they carry with them, and he showed me several they have on hand. Theirs are more expensive ones, as he explained they have a 2 yr Warranty. I picked out the Wolverine Brass Two Handle Faucet, and the two reps. installed it immediately. I gave him the code from Angie's list, showing I had purchased a $55.00 contract worth $100.00, and he substracted this from the $482.00, leaving a balance of $382.00 I owed. As they do not take American Express I had offered, I then gave them my Master Card to charge this balance of their bill. All in all they were somewhat expensive in my opinion. However, they did a great job of installing the new faucet.

Installing faucets were more money than originally estimated. However, newer plumbing could not be match with older plumbing. I was showed each time what the problems were before continuing service which I appreciated. The two plumbers that came were very professional and cleaned up after themselves.(Michael and Darryl). As for the price of job done, I have nothing to compare it with. You really do not know the repair cost until you break it down.

First, let me start by saying Wilbur's was extremely quick in setting up the appointment, and the two gentlemen that came the house were on time, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Either I didn't understand what the deal was about, or it was misleading. I expected an actual tune up of my toilets, or at least one of them t make it function better. I was not exoecting a complete repair of w broken toilet, but just need one to quit running so long after flushing. I felt like the real reason they were there was to upsale me on new toilets, faucets, etc. The prices they were quoting seemed extremely high, maybe that is why that didn't leave me with a copy of the estimates. Anyway, nothing was done with my toilet, and I ended paying $39 to sit through a sales presentation on upgrading my plumbing items. I believe most companies these days provide free estimates.

It turned out great. They ended up actually replacing a pressure valve which we were not aware that it's broken, they actually provided a lot of preventive maintenance for us. We wouldn't have known about it until something broke. They were prompt, timely, they did really good work and they have a fair price.

Wilbur did a great job. Plumber was good, explained all the scenarios with the clog, and it ended up being the best case and cheapest, so I know I was not screwed on my price. I would recommend Wilbur's Plumbing to anyone.

The company came out the same day I called. The service tech was friendly and efficient.

They inspected and replaced my kitchen sink disposal unit.

Not only punctual but arrived earlier than scheduled with my permission. Company gives customer a time window that the plumber will arrive and promises to call 30 minutes before actual arrival. Very accommodating policy. John Michael tested the drain with an air pump which wasn't able to clear the line. Then he gave me a written estimate to replace the PVC pipe and trap in the garage ceiling before starting job. No charge for the air pump attempt. Completed the job with less time and materials anticipated and adjusted price lower. Very efficient, left work area clean. I was very pleased with the company and with John Michael and will not hesitate to call them for plumbing work in the future.

I had them check a toilet that has been slow running and prone to backup for quite awhile. It was seldom used so it wasn't a priority fix. He came and said it was just an old, inefficient toilet and said he could replace it with a new one. I had him change it out and had the top-of-the-line one put in even though even though he said it wasn't necessary given the usage but this is a guest bathroom and I didn't want to run into the same problems as before. He installed it the same day and it works great.

I purchased a special offer for a toilet tune-up and inspection. Scheduling the appointment was quick and easy. Michael arrived on time and inspected all plumbing in my home. He was extremely professional and thorough. He replace some internal parts in one toilet and did some adjustments in another. I am very satisfied with their service and would definitely used them again for plumbing needs.

I purchased $100 of service for $49, thinking this would cover the cost of the job (replacing handles and stems in shower.) The plumber told me that they always explain costs up front and referred to a price schedule on his computer. He said the job would be $331 and $100 would be deducted from that. That is excessive and not what I thought I purchased. The verbiage on this Deal was a little misleading, in my opinion.

Had drains that were clogged from kid's toys. They came and fixed the problem quickly. No fuss.

It went fantastic, They called before they came as promised and showed up within the time promised. He demonstrated to me what I had to do (which was simple) asked me if he needed to show me again, and saved me a lot of money? Everything went very well.

Michael was very friendly and professional. He completed his work quickly. Lacy, the dispatcher, was also very professional and friendly.

They didn't hesitate to offer a technician when I called after hours. Gave me pricing for an after hours visit as well as price waiting until morning. I didn't consider the after hours charge to be unreasonable, so I had him come out. Despite arriving at 8 pm, he didn't try to rush through the evaluation. He was courteous and personable. He gave me a clear explanation of the problem and a written quote of the exact cost. He was able to get the part the next morning and Miss Lacey called quite timely to schedule his return to replace the board. He was prompt and quickly got the repair done, showing me the damaged board. He answered all of my questions thoroughly. Additionally, he performed a basic "cleaning" service for no additional charge and replaced my air filter as well. I felt as if I had received excellent customer service. And will be calling them again for needed services. If you call, ask for "Brad". He did a great job.

Shower Faucet with Exaggerated Leak. I tried to replace the cartridge myself. Got down to the final step, which was to remove a ring holding the cartridge in place. My home is 15 yrs old and the corrosion was extensive and I could not loosen the ring safely. If you are not careful, the copper pipes in the back could bend, therefore causing a huge problem. DIY is great, but you have to know when to say when and at this point the water to my entire house had to remain off until I was able to replace this cartridge. Hummm....so I called Wilbur at 3pm. They have 24/7 hour service, and were willing to come out after hours that same day or first thing the next morning. I chose the next morning. They had a big job following my repair, so two workers came to my home. This was a one man job, but while one replaced the cartridge, the other worker took it upon himself to check my overall water pressure, my home filtration system, and my electric water heater. It was determined that my expansion tank on my water heater was not working properly, so he replaced the expansion tank. The technician showed me why it wasn't working, and how to check the new tank for proper function. This additional discovery may have saved me from having a more complex problem with my water heater in the near future. The technicians were very professional, wore shoe covers while working, used computer tablets; which I appreciate, especially for looking at the history of my account if I need them in the future. The cartridge replacement/labor was 310.00 and the expansion tank replacement/labor was 214.00. If I had been able to replace the cartridge myself it would have cost me 40.00, so I will say that I did have to take a deep breath when he told me the cost. However there were 2 factors that I had to consider, 1) I had NO water, and 2) I did not have time to check Angie's List that afternoon. This company does offer a 10% discount to members (note to self). I needed help ASAP and called a neighbor whose opinion I valued and she recommended Wilbur. I have not needed a plumber in many years, so in all due fairness, I do not know the current rates for this industry, but you certainly get what you pay for. I absolutely was not disappointed with their service and will call on them again. I believe in developing relationships with small businesses that you believe in. Loyalty works both ways and I do think that this company appears to serve our community well. Happy Customer!!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were very nice people they actually flooded the basement so they had to come back. Somebody had not tightened the cap on something and so it flooded my rug and some of my things and boxes. It was just water and it wasn't 10 inches deep or anything. But they came back and fixed it. They didn't get the water up but they just tightened the cap. Anyway, they're very nice. It didn't go well, I just don't want to ruin their reputation. Their prices are pretty high but they do all these nice things like take their shoes off. They did give me some alternative ways I could fix things that would only cost me dollars. So that helped.

Terry was GREAT! I was very impressed with his kindness and doing a great job. He was punctual and did his job efficiently. I even received a thank you card in the mail! I would highly recommend the big pink truck of Wilbur 1!

Very expensive. We bought a faucet to replace the one in our kitchen, and he said that it would cost anywhere between $250 and $300 extra to replace the faucet with the one we had bought. My husband said the receptionist was rude, and after all this, we decided to go to Angie's List and find someone else. PS. Lowes referred us to a plumber who quoted $99 over the telephone. They did a good job. No problems after 7 months.

Darryl was professional, competent and polite. They called before arriving, arrived on time and did an excellent job. 6 weeks later, everything is still working perfectly. Would recommend without hesitation.
