W C Wright & Son Heating and AC

Experienced 1st cold night with no heat. I was bothered because the heating furnace was only seeing its 2nd winter since purchase and a freezing few days were predicted. I called early the next morning and Eddie with Wright and sons came within a few hours. He immediately discovered the problem (a bird had gotten into the roof vent and into the motor fan causing blockage). He disassembled the motor casing, cleaned, and reattached. My heating works very well now. Thank you Eddie for being so professional and quick to diagnose the problem.

Charlie arrived on time very professional. He check the unit and a switch was jammed. He cleaned it and tested it several times. It worked with no problem . Since he was so knowledgable I asked him to look at the defrost panel in the unit as well. Back in Feb Hemphill came out and look at the unit- told me my defrost panel was shorted out and I had to replace it. Told me I really needed a new heater b/c the unit was old and the panel would be very hard to find and very expensive. I told them I couldnt afford a new unit so to replace it. I paid my service fee and never heard back. Charlie looked at it, tested it, and said it was fine!! Just reset the furnace temp so it would kick on. So thankful Charlie is honest and knowledgable!

I requested WC Wright & Son look into a drainage issue I had at a rental property. They sent a service person out and replaced the drain pipes on 8/19/14 for the HVAC unit. However, I never received a detailed invoice for this work. On 8/21/14, the tenant complained about the HVAC unit not operating properly. I called WC Wright again and requested they follow up on the work performed, as the unit had been working properly before they began work. They sent another technician out who looked at the unit and stated nothing was wrong with the unit. The tenant called me back to explain the unit still wasn't working, so I called WC Wright again. They sent the same technician and this time the technician sprayed some FlexSeal in the drain pan and claimed this was the issue for the non-functioning unit. The tenants were forced to bail water out of the drain pan, which was not draining and I received an invoice for $213. The invoice I received explained the technician had spent 1.75 hours on premise to spray FlexSeal in a pan. The coverage spot was approximately 14" in diameter. I called and complained explaining I had been charged $48 for a can of FlexSeal, which I didn't receive, and the technician had spent 1.75 hours spraying a 14" diameter spot in the pan. The manager explained he didn't know what services were performed beyond what was written. I was also told for $650 more they could fix the pan permanently. In total, I was charged $213 for a can of FlexSeal and for the person to spray it at a spot (One can of FlexSeal at market price is $12). I only just received the last invoice for the actual drain pipe work in the amount of $114. Additionally, my pan was not damaged prior to WC Wright & Son visiting.

I appreciated that they started with the least expensive possible reason first and worked their way up. It took several trips to get to figure out the issue. They were great about working with me about scheduling and fitting me in on the same day. I am very happy with our interactions and the service they provided.

It was great. I felt at ease with the plumber and knew that they would work well with me on the bill because I had good credit. It was hassle free. They were very professional and responsive.

W.C. Wright have us the best price and best option for an extended 10 year warranty on labor than any of the other companies that gave us prices. They arrived on time, worked hard (didn't even stop to eat lunch), were friendly, and the system seems to be working great. They carried off all the old equipment and boxes from new equipment, however, after they left I swept up about 8 screws that were lying on the basement floor and on driveway that could have punctured our car tires had I not discovered them first. Overall, it was a very good experience.

Customer service answered call within 2 rings. Logged problem and said they would call when tech was en route. Called within 2 hrs. Showed up on-time. Cost effectively repaired systems everytime called. Even provided tips on how to properly maintain equipment and reduce future Maint.

Called to diagnose problems with faulty furnace. They came out promptly and found the problem and provided options on repair or replacement with more efficient unit. I elected for replacement, they came back with new unit put it in and all went well. Have used this company for 20 yrs. and found then competent, reliable and fair, not cheap, but good value.

They are usually prompt, courteous, good and thorough. Their prices are pretty high compared to others in the area.

I called around 9 AM, and they were able to come by that afternoon. The rep (Matt) was punctual, professional, helpful and generally awesome. The pay schedule was amazingly fair. We expected to pay alot more than we did. Based on the operator and Matt's friendliness and helpfulness, we had an amazing fast and productive visit. I don't even think he was at our house more than 30 minutes. He completely and clearly explained what the issue was, how to fix it and how much it was going to cost. He even taught us about the kind of heater we have and went over some details that we were unaware of. I just can't say enough things. If we ever have any heating or air issues, we are using these guys and calling immediately.

Did a good job. I think the air cond. may have been a little more expensive for the kind of air con. they installed but it's all working fine.

After discussing the price with the husband, we paid for the $79 service call and sent the man on his way. Why? Because two years ago we had the same problem and same estimate and same repair but for $295. Hmmm. So the husband ordered a replacement motor ($95 + shipping) and two days later replaced the motor himself (we pay other people to do these repairs because the husband has other things to do.) Once the "bad" motor was removed and replaced, we tested the "bad" motor and find nothing was wrong with it. So, the heat pump works with the new motor -- It' still noisy but less so. The diagnosis by WC Wright & Son was wrong and the repair estimate far exceeded an identical repair from another company two years ago.

The people that own the company are our neighbors. All the people that work for them are very nice. They are always very respectful and treat our house well. They don’t make a mess. They have always been helpful. When we have had to have a unit replaced, they tried to repair it first. They said let's just see what that does. When it didn’t work, they came back and replaced it. I would use them again.

They were fantastic!!!!!!!! VERY knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, efficient and cost effective. Another company (Freedom) told us we needed a new unit immediately. To prove this, they very strategically and obviously unplugged some wires that simply couldn't have come loose on thier own. This was VERY easily recognized bythe gentleman who came out. He plugged them back in, did a normal service and maintenance on our unit and it's worked oerfectly since. BE WARE OF FREEDOM! I would have absolutely no reservations about calling this company again or referring them to a friend.

They did excellent work and we were very pleased.

The crew was on time, the install went very well and all was as expected. I had checked on other prices to replace both the inside and outside unit for my upstairs air conditioner and they were very competitive.

Technician was on time (actually waiting on me to show up). He checked and found leak in evap coil. This was expected as Upper AC unit was not blowing cold air. Advised that Coil could not be replaced due to the switch to newer refrigerant now being utilzed. Will need to replace AC unit soon, hopefully not until Fall.

I called W.C. Wright and Son and left a message with their Answering service. They promptly returned my call the next morning around 8am. They schedule an appointment for 1:00pm. Jim came out and found my problem and promptly fixed it.

I called W. C. Wright & Son to service both of my A/C units. They came out as scheduled and performed the job in an excellent and professional manner. The price was more than reasonable. I am relieved to find a company that I can count for my A/C Needs.

They sent well qualified people who performed the work well. The only problem was price. I felt that I paid a premium for the work they performed and once it was determined that a unit would have to be replaced, I decided to get other quotes. I found other firms on Angie's List and got two additional quotes. W.C. Wright was about 25% more expensive than the firm I selected and that firm did a perfect job in every respect. I expect W. C. Wright would have done an equally good job, but it would have cost me some 25% more. I even gave W. C. Wright a chance to meet the other firm's price but they would not change at all.

As always, the work was completed quickly and professionally.

Outstanding! I had been putting off a winter service inspection, & then my heat stopped working. Fortunately it was just the pilot light. Matthew (ask for him, he is such a nice young man) explained to me how it worked. W.C. Wright workers are NOT paid on commission so they are not motivated to sell you a new system unless you need it. My friend's AC went out this summer & they said all she needed was a little $20 part.

Our heater was out, and we were able to get an appointment with WC Wright by the next day. The company was very prompt and informative in terms of scheduling. They called to let me know when the tech would be by within the hour, and he arrived as promised. The technician had to climb way back in our attic to examine the heater and was able to diagnose the problem and fix it while on site (even though the new part had to be brought in by another WC Wright employee). My only issues with the company were minor: (1) I had questions about why our control panel had quit that he didn't really explain, i.e., his answers were seemingly contradictory and (2) when I presented him with the 10 percent Angie's coupon, he said it would cover a $59 charge for examining our OTHER heating unit but earlier in the visit he had told me that he hadn't examined it, only the one with the problem. So that was a little fishy. Overall, I was pleased because the technician was on time, polite and was able to fix our heater for a fairly reasonable price.
