I had to get a new central AC put in as a result of the tornado. He was the first guy I had called. I had been in hospital and I never knew the AC was broken because of the storm. I was in the hospital before the tornado in April and the day of the tornado I went to my daughter’s house. I came back to my house in July and when I put on the AC it wouldn’t come on. I called somebody and they referred me to Mr Crompton and he came out and told me that lighting had struck the unit and it messed up everything in my house including the computer and direct TV. When I called him to come and check the air conditioning unit he told me that he was an electrician as well and that’s how I found out that the other things were affected and as it turned out they were. He did a very good job of getting a unit for me and he was the person I called about the roof. He came and put the tarp of the house that the insurance company wanted me to do. He was also one of the people who was going to get his roofer to meet the insurance company and he did not. I have not heard anything else from Mr Crompton and that was the end of our relationship. He did a good job of the first job of the storm damage that I had but after the second damage occurred he was supposed to come and take care of it but he did nothing but come and put tarp on it. I would not use him again. He had come for electrical work earlier and I was very pleased with him. He did brand new heating and air conditioning for me and I was very pleased. The warranty on that I guess runs out next year in March. I didn’t care how long it took him because he was very professional when he came and he impressed me with the fact that he has been in business for 30 years and I have seen him on Angie’s List. I thought he knew what he was talking about and he would come when he said he was going to. As a matter of fact he came about 3 times. The first time he came he didn’t go on the roof. The second time he came with his nephew they worked together and they did go on the roof. I had received a payment from the insurance company based on what the insurance adjustor had told them. I called them to let them know that and I paid $200 to put the tarp on the house. I got a $1000 deductible from the insurance company. They gave me an explanation saying that I had $1400 worth of work done and for the $200 work that I had paid on the tarp.
Description of Work: I used the service of Valley Maintenance to put a new central AC in July.
