Was promised all kinds of leads, only got a few, do not do business with company.....lies, promises, then does not deliver...does not pay his bills!!!!!!

Response from Taylor Roofing & Restoration
The allegations submitted in this matter are false and without merit. The actual basis of this dispute DOES NOT stem from any work performed at his residence or any other construction project performed for him. The dispute lies in the fact that he has worked for several different "storm chaser" companies and has been unsuccessful in roofing sales, and such is the case in his attempts at sales with Taylor Roofing & Restoration. He is correct in that he was offered a trial sales opportunity for approximately 10 leads total in a subcontractor capacity, the majority of which required minimal sales effort in that they were either direct referrals from insurance or leads developed from word of mouth by the owner himself. On at least 3 of said leads given to him, the owner had already performed the majority of the sales effort and even then the complainant was unable to close the customer or complete the required sales paperwork or contracts to complete the sales. The owner also issued him a copy of Xactimate estimating software at a cost of $ 250 for him to perform estimates. The owner also on one occasion issued $ 50 cash to complainant for fuel because of the type of vehicle that he uses is a large diesel type truck and the owner knew the complainant was in need of help due to no sales being made final and the fact that he lives over 50 miles away and was traveling a long distance to Birmingham AL. The owner is aware of one (1) job in Hueytown Alabama in which the complainant made actual sales effort directly leading to a gutter contract, however the owner himself had to go out and sign the contract to close the deal for the member. Taylor Roofing & Restoration asserts that complainant further attempted to harm said company by failing to follow up on a lead for approximately $ 30,000.00 in construction work, to the point that the customer chose to use another company because the complainant would not return phone calls or emails. Taylor Roofing & Restoration pays all bills and justified costs of business in a timely manner and has maintained a good relationship with all suppliers and subcontractors in all areas in which it does business, namely the 6 largest metro areas of the State of Alabama. This complainant is unable to and does not run his own business, much less have any instrumental dealings in the paying of Taylor Roofing & Restoration's bills or overhead, and it is the assertion that his performance, or horrible lack thereof, is the only reason he has filed any complaint with Angies List in an attempt to spread libelous and slandering lies to the general public to try and tarnish the reputation of this company and owner. Such statements are without merit and unfounded by complainant and are a total fabrication by him due to his inability to be an effective roofing sales person. This company maintains a list of references from all over the State of Alabama, and further has never had ANY (0) complaints with the Better Business Bureau, and maintains an "A" rating with the Central Alabama chapter based in Birmingham AL.
