+ 1 moreHe was very business-like. He was very positive and nice and willing to work with us. Somebody else just recommended somebody else to us who was a smaller contractor and whose prices were a little bit lower. Steve and his family has been in business a long time and has a customer-based who can afford to pay a lot. He is competent and he is professional. He understands the kind of work we wanted. If you are working on a historic property in that area, he has done a lot of properties and understands what's required.
Description of Work: Steve McGuire Construction Inc. gave us an estimate for a remodel of a historic property.

Quality of construction was excellent, and the project was completed in good time (7 months), despite finding and having to remedy some serious structural weaknesses. Project was done on a cost-plus basis, and we ran over the original bid somewhat. This was due in part to our asking for work not in the original plans.
Description of Work: Extensive remodel of our home in Forest Park. Gutted and replaced the kitchen and butler's pantry, and added a new master suite on the second floor.
