+ -1 moreIt was a great experience with the company, very professional and work is high quality. They worked with my insurance, easy handling on payment terms. I would highly recommend anyone.
Description of Work: During the peak summer our main A/C unit burned down, had called this company. They have setup the next day apt and technician came out and did the inspection, he is very professional, knowledgeable and recommended a new unit since the compressor and few other parts are burned. He even showed me the cause of the issues. A sale professional from the company called next day and went through all the procedures for ordering new unit and he ethically and diligently worked with my insurance company, so that I only have to pay my deductible cost. He recommended the right unit for us which is energy efficient and cut some power cost as well. Our house is back cool again...

+ -1 moresee services performed. This was not a good experience. It was obvious they are too busy to have someone come out and give me an estimate.
Description of Work: Called once around July 23rd 2012 to have someone setup a visit to give me an estimate for some Bathroom remodeling we are doing.Did not receive a call back.Called again on July 31st 2012 for the same thing. I was told it would be $55 for someone to come out and give me an estimate, and the work would be $98 an hour. Now that's some professional estimate!!!!I might mention that I use Standard for my Heating and A/C maintenance for my home. I sincerly hope that the Plumbing side of the business does not effect this group?

+ -1 moreCalled Tues. after Memorial Day weekend and very hot temps. The first appt. they had was Thur. Got a call Wed. afternoon that they had an opening and could come on out. Very nice to talk to on phone and technician was very nice also. It did take him a long time to find that was just low freon, because didn't register low at first. But he didn't charge for any extra time. Bill was very reasonable.
Description of Work: Air conditioner not cooling. Freon low, added. Checked everything else, was ok. Used them about a month ago for plumbing & was very satisfied also.

+ -1 moreThey were some of the most professional and courteous people we have ever had come to our house. Very knowledgeable and responsive initially, great on follow through, and came back immediately when we had a small clog in one of the sprinkler lines they repaired. I could not expect any better service than they provided. We will only use them for our plumbing needs in the future.
Description of Work: Standard replaced a service line from my water meter to my house. They had to tunnel under 2 sidewalks and go under a retaining wall. They also repaired any sprinkler lines that were cut while installing the new line.

+ -1 moreGlenn was right on time (to the minute). It did end up taking a bit longer that he'd thought, but that was because he had to alter the faucet I'd purchased to fit in my vanity. He was very professional, nice, and respectful of our home. Checked and double-checked to make sure the drain was leak-free.I think there are cheaper plumbers out there but with the Angie's List coupon it wasn't too bad. I would use them again.

+ -1 moreMy upstairs A/C refrigeration line was sweating and dripping. The unit is undersized, but I thought that it may be low on coolant. The tech checked everything, and everything looked good. He said that he couldn't recommended adding coolant since it didn't need any, and said the main thing was to change filters more often. I appreciate his honesty, and not charging me for repairs that I didn't need.I had a $50 coupon for being a new member to Angie's list, so the net bill was only $29!I will call Standard again the next time I need service.

We looked at competitors, and those companies could never install it. Those companies didn't return calls, either. We called this company even though the price was higher because the service was terrible with other companies.
Description of Work: We have used them for installation and repair for A/C, hot water heaters, and plumbing. They last installed a hot water heater.

+ -1 moreI called Wednesday morning and was told that they could be there on Thursday. A couple of hours later they called back and told me the plumber was on his way. Rick went straight to work, he was fast and efficient. I would definitely use them again. I highly recommend.

For the past two seasons I had issues with the heat going out and just recently had a different company try to fix it this season, but again they were unsuccessful and I ended up with a service bill. I decided to try Standard due to them having such a high rating on Angie's List and I was not disappointed. The technician was extremely professional and personal. He actually spent several hours trying to trouble shoot my system unlike the previous company's. I felt the that the price was fair and the service was impeccable. I will definitely be using them for all my HVAC needs in the future. Also, they were very honest and were cognizant of not trying to sell me parts or services that I didn't need.
Description of Work: A complete diagnostic troubleshooting of my heating system. Changed gas pressure, checked heating chamber, cleaned rust and electrical system. Way more than anybody else had done.

We called the sewer company who came out and checked to see if it was one of their lines and (of course) it wasn't! Looked on Angie's List and chose STANDARD to come out and check out /repair problem. Rick Wade from Standard Heating/ AC, and Plumbing arrived in a VERY timely manner, assessed the situation, worked hard to repair our line/joint and we now have a free flowing, repaired sewer line from our home to the main line! Excellent job, Rick! Thank you!
Description of Work: Rick from Standard Heating, AC, and Plumbing discovered broken above-ground joint to our main sewer line, cleaned out many roots and back-up that had clogged the sewer line, and repaired the line/joint .

+ -1 morePlease note that I screwed up and detailed the service above. I couldn't figure out how to switch my comments made above here and put the service performed that I reported here above. Please fix this for me. I was thrilled with the service and really want it reported. The service performed was to replace the pressure valve.
Description of Work: We awoke at 5 a.m. to a kitchen flooded and water beginning to run into our hardwood floor dinning room. We shut off the water into the house, mopped up the water and called Standard. My husband criticized me for calling a plumber because he thought he could fix the problem. I cried because I thought I was doing the right thing. The plumber from Standard came very quickly and told us that the blowout in our kitchen (a separate cold/hot water filtered faucet) was the weak link that indicated that our pressure valve was defective. He quickly and effectively fixed the problem. He also told us that we could replace the filter on the hot/cold unit instead of having Standard order the part and costing us many more dollars. By the way, my husband couldn't have fixed the problem.
