Description of Work: The cost is half of my yearly maintenance contract with Standard Heating. They come and check out my heating system every fall to make sure everything is ready for winter. They do a similar service on my air conditioner in the spring. I have used Standards services for 40 years. They have replaced my heat & air system twice in 40 years. I have a favorite tech named Roy that I ask for each time I schedule service. And if by chance something breaks down, I call Standard and they are here within 24 hours of the call, sometimes sooner. Great company with great people. Thanks Standard for being my go to company for anything related to heat and air systems. They also do plumbing, but I haven't used them for that yet. I recently found out that they do eco surveys to determine heat loss in homes, so I hope to get with them for that service in the future.

Description of Work: I requested an estimate on a new heating and air system. The price was $12000 + and they gave me no less expensive options. I have used Standard for many years and with excellent service, however the sales person who came for the estimate acted like I was an inconvenience and that there were no options for a less expensive system. He was offering Carrier system which is top of the line, however I discovered there are other very good options for less than half the price.

Description of Work: Replaced a cracked pvc fitting in our home water supply line.

Description of Work: I called this company to come out and do an estimate on the status of my second a/c unit in the attic. I had been told that it had a leak, was cracked, or just too old to repair. The serviceman who came out was efficient, and prompt. He took his time and look everything over thoroughly . He then explained to me what my choices were, and what it would cost. I did not use this company in the end but felt that they had been fair in their estimate.

Description of Work: We changed kitchen sink from double to single bowl, which required a re-do of the plumbing..dishwasher,garbage disposal ect. I of course had tried to do it myself , resulting in repeated leaking in my loft unit ( and the unit below us) I had used Standard before for AC work, but did not know they also did plumbing. When I serched for a provider on Angies List, to my surprise, Standard popped up with good reviews. I called, was given a convenient next day appointment. Glenn, the service technician arrived on time, evaluated and quickly made the necessary changes He was very professional, neat , and once done checked carefully to be sure there were no leaks from sink, dish washer, disposal..

Description of Work: I had my Heat pump replaced with a larger and more effecient unit (Carrier 3 ton). Standard did a great job. They were professional in all aspects. The Standard rep. that I dealt with was Joe Bowker. He was a totally professional. He explained everything throughly and in a non pushy manner. He really earned my respect and helped make my decision to go with Standard an easy choice. They were also highly recommended from a friend who was retired from the same type of business. The installment went without a flaw and in even less time that was anticipated. The unit works great and has helped reduced my heating and cooling bill. I would recommend Standard without hesitation.

Description of Work: I have used Standard on three different occasions in three different locations. This was over a 5 year period of time. They have always been prompt and responsive and repaired or replaced the equipment as necessary. On one of the AC systems, I later had a failure and they gladly honored the warranty. I highly recommend Standard Heating and Air Conditioning.
