Everything went very well. I was very happy with their service. Their prices were in line with what the generators typically cost. The quality of work seems to be good, and we did have one problem with the generator itself, but they resolved it quickly.

Expansion tank sprang leak previous evening - Called Standard by 8:30 am next morning and they arrived about 2:45 pm same day. Office called about 30 mins prior to their arrival. Had to go back to shop pick up right sized tank. Spent about 45 min on job including checking pressure on water heaters and adjusting temperature for me. They were polite and courteous. Price above reflects $50 discount.

Overall, my experience with this company was excellent. They sent a very professional young man to my house to perform the work.

Since the compressor (outside) and the fan (inside) would not come on, I first took a look at the problem since I work in the electronics service field. I found that the 24 V transformer was dead and also the turn on contactor on the compressor (the contactor killed the transformer). I had a transformer and replaced that but since the contactor was still under warranty I thought I would let Standard come and give it a good check and see how my freon was for the summer. The Standard guy arrived the same day. I told him when he arrived that I had figured it out but I understood that he had to confirm it. Well, even though I told him where to look, he did not believe the part was bad. He did not understand that the coil of the contactor was shorted. I basically had to give him suggestions to prove it. Nearly TWO hours later he believed me and replaced the contactor. He also checked my freon stating it was OK. He basically knew very little basic electrical trouble shooting and stated "he had learned something new today" FROM ME. Now part two. I stated that it should be under warranty since it was only 2 years old. He said he did not know and would call in. Standard reported back that it wasn't, that only major items were covered not high failure small parts and that my charge was a rate of something like $230 for contactor that I diagnosed. I wrote the check and he left. I looked up the manufacturer of the unit and called them. The stated it SHOULD have been under warranty. I called Standard and they said they had to confirm it. The next day Standard said they could not confirm it and did I know who I talked to. I had expected that and gave them the name and ext. Standard called back the next day and said they were wrong. It should have been under warranty. So since it was under warranty they would give me a $40 dollar credit. Forty dollars !!??? Then she went on something about that when it was warranty it changed from flat rate to something else and a restocking fee. It really sounded fishy to me being in the service business. I complained that none of that was stated up front and she finally gave me $100 off the bill which they took their time sending me a check for. THEY SOLD AND INSTALLED this unit at this house but they didn't know the warranty terms on it??? BTW, one month later my compressor strangely froze up due to lack of freon but it had never had a leak in the two years before. I called someone else to look at it. They came back out with no extra charge and fixed these issues. They did resolve alll my complaints.

They have free time to schedule people so it is easy to get an appointment with them. They were very courteous when they were here. They showed up on time. They cleaned up everything when they were done working.

It went well. They provided me the best estimate out of two other A/C companies. Started the work within 24 hours after accepting their proposal. Finished the work within 6.5 hours. No mess was left behind and the workers showed up to my home earlier than expected and were very friendly and professional.

The technician arrived within 2 hours of my call. There was no waiting all day; they call you 30 minutes before the technician is due to arrive. Very professional if reserved. Courteous and businesslike. Competent.

We called Standard on a Sunday morning. They sent two men out within an hour when they left, the drains were all unclogged and everything worked perfectly.

The tech found that the problem was that my A/C was low on Freon and fixed the problem. He was prompt, courteous and got my system working better than when I bought the house.

They were really careful about what they were doing. They even did a little extra by putting a mesh chain around the cord so that our dog couldn't get to it anymore. We signed an agreement for them to come out twice a year for them to service our unit.

I called them on the morning of the visit, and they had a technician on-site within 2 hours, though I did not tell them it was an emergency (because it was not). I was pleasantly surprised with their promptness. The tech was very helpful and understanding, quickly located and corrected the issue, and even gave me pointers for help in the future.

This happened on a weekend and the company apparently was having answer service problems because they never called back. I ended up having to call roto-rooter & paying $787 to them to jet the line and fix the problem. When I DID contact Porter Hutto at Standard, though, he was very apologetic and concerned about retaining us as customers and ended up refunding us the difference between what I paid Roto-rooter for the jetting and what his company would have charged us. We have done business with Standard for years and they obviously care about their customers! The ratings here are for just this episode. In general, I would say they deserve an ''A'' overall rating.

We've used Standard Heating for the last ten years. They are very trustworthy and reliable, and do a great job, although they're very pricey. Nevertheless, we continue to use them because of the service they provide.

Plumber was on time, professional, polite. Work was reasonably priced.

After years of good service we decided to go with the new more efficient system. It was installed in a timely manner without much noise or mess. I can't think of the brand but it is a better brand heating and cooling system. Everything is under warranty and we are pleased with our decision.

They have always kept my systems running smooth, but most importantly they have been very reliable and came out whenever I needed them to and without any fuss. That was important because I have a breathing machine and need my units to keep running.

My sink was stopped up, so I called them out, and they got it fixed right up. They didn't leave any mess, and it only took they guy about an hour. I feel that plumbing is always costly, but they did do a good job, so I can't complain. They have always provided us with a good service.

They come on a regular appointment time, and they always call and let us know they are coming. They maintain our unit very well because it runs good all the time. We have not had any problems with the unit or their service. We are always satisfied with the service checks, and we are satisfied with the price.

They had a real good service, and they would come out whenever you called them. They didn't keep you waiting long and the man was real polite. He explained what he was doing and gave you a report on it. I didn't have any complaints about their service. I couldn't recall the price they charge me for this service.
