I was very pleased with the results. The owner was very prompt in communications when coming out to give quote, keeping me updated on when he thought he would arrive. The price was fair and the quality of the work met my expectations. I would use them again in the future.

They did a great job. Always in communication with me. The guys really worked well with my wife on getting the colors right and meeting all her needs during the renovation. I would use them again on future renovations.

Let's get to the point: this operation is GREAT. They do a variety of services, and do them all very well. I requested a variety of services, and they completed them well. SouthFace was able to schedule our work quite promptly, and everyone was friendly and polite. They did an extensive amount of work, and all of it was well done. Work done: pressure washing whole house, front and back porches, sidewalk, and driveway. Cleaned exterior windows. Repaired and/or replaced rotting wood on the facade. Significant repairs on rotted soffits.

This is the first review I have ever posted on Angie's List, but felt it was necessary given my experience with SouthFace Renovations. From start to finish, Johnny and his team were a pleasure to deal with. Johnny provided a competitive quote and then worked with me to add additional items to the job as we realized that there were other things we wanted to have done. We have owned a number of homes and worked with different contractors consistently over the last 15 years, and Johnny's responsiveness and commitment to customer satisfaction is unparalleled. Johnny sets himself apart because he is always reachable and responsive throughout the project and through completion, not just at the very beginning in order to sell the work, which is often the case. He consistently checks in to confirm that the work is going as expected and is at the job site regularly. His team is also exceptional. Wes manages the team very effectively and his attention to detail is outstanding. It felt like Wes and the team were treating the work the same way that they would on their own homes, which was very comforting. The quality of the work was also great. Everything was completed quickly and accurately, and the house looks great. I will be using SouthFace Renovations in the future.

Southface Renovations and Construction is top notch! You won't find a more friendly group of people devoted to meeting your job expectations. Johnny and his staff were courteous, professional, and they do a great job communicating and keeping you informed. I haven't even mentioned the paint job. It was great by the way! I would definitely recommend Southface to others and I plan on using them again in the futture.

I received several estimates on the painting and repairs of my home. Johnny's estimate of the work to be done was competitive and very detailed with each project priced out separately. They arrived on time and worked until four pm each day. One of the projects was replacing old wood siding with James Hardie plank siding. Johnny and his crew made informative suggestions that helped make the job go smoothly. I can highly recommend Southface and will hire them for my next project.

Johnny and his team were on time, responsible and trustworthy. I live out of town and after speaking with him and his constant communication with me I felt great with my choice for this project. He even went back and installed exterior flood lights for free after the job was completed. I am so thankful that I chose him and his team to complete this job!!!

We had an approaching wedding and were late getting quotes for our outdoor railings to be sanded and repainted. When I called Johnny, he returned my call by the next morning and worked very hard to find a way to get the job done within our timeframe. The team of workers were on time, respectful and did an excellent job. Other quotes gave a timeframe of 2 weeks for the project and Johnny's team finished in 5 days. We had beautiful railings for our event . We have other projects in the future and will certainly call Southface Renovations.

Johnny had his painters arrive at the time and place he promised. Each day they would consult with me to insure that everything was to my satisfaction. Painters and carpenter were outstanding and very professional. At the end of there job Johnny and crew did a walk through with me to insure I was happy with the job. They are worth every penny we spent, as well as the piece of mind you will have, knowing that they will look out after your welfare. Johnny served our country in the United States Marine Corps, and is the ultimate professional, Semper FI!

My wife and I were very pleased overall with our experience with Southface Renovations and its owner Johnny DeBlieux. We chose three vendors that were highly rated on Angie's List to provide estimates including Southface. Johnny was very professional during the estimating visit and made us comfortable that the work would be done to our satisfaction. Southface was not the cheapest but we are aware that you get what you pay for. Johnny met with us a second time prior to beginning the job to make sure that we communicated clearly about what we wanted and our expectations. Communication was always excellent as we drew close to the beginning of the project. Once Johnny's crew started they were always professional, on time, cleanly and responsive. In particular his crew leader, Wes Daniel, was always willing to work with us on site to make sure our expectations were being met. Both my wife and I were very assured that Wes would make sure the job was done well and on time. They completed the work to our satisfaction (we have high standards) and did an excellent job of cleaning up the work site before leaving. It was our best experience with any contractor and we have had multiple experiences We would highly recommend Southface.

Obtained several bids for the exterior painting of my home. I met Johnny and showed him the property and I was amazed at his professional and personable demeanor. He was not pushy or pretentious, just knowledgeable and confident. I hoped his bid would be reasonable, and when I received it the next day it was. I was very happy to select his company to paint my home. He had several projects going on and informed me that they could not begin our job until 18 August, but knowing I was in a hurry to get my house on the market, he let me know he would get to me sooner, if possible. And he did. The job took his crew 3 days and was completed on 7 August! The crew was always punctual and treated my property as if it were their own. They always acted professionally, courteously and friendly and honestly, it was a pleasure having them here. They cleaned, prepped (scrapped), caulked, hand brushed on the primer and painted. When I added a few areas to be painted, they were happy to do so at a minimal charge. My house looks fantastic! And they cleaned every bit of debris resulting from the job, before they left. I have hired many contractors to work on my home and this was by far the best contractor experience I have had. My house sold without going on the market!!! Thanks to Johnny, Wes and crew for a great experience and a job superbly done, Yes, I am happy, but this company deserves the happiness award!

Johnny was very accommodating and came by to discuss painting plans at our request on more than one occasion. He called to explain that the weather had delayed his crew and gave us a new start date. Johnny was very personable throughout the job, stopped by to check the progress, and was easy to contact. His crew arrived on time on the specified date. The members of his crew worked diligently and were very approachable if my husband or I had any questions, concerns, or comments. When the painting had finished, Johnny personally came by to review the work and did a "punch list" for touch ups and asked us to also make a note of any areas that needed touch ups. One member of the crew came the next day to take care of any areas that needed to be touched up.

I obtained several estimates and Johnny was right on point. This was a challenging job (the vertical stripes especially) and he made us feel the most comfortable with his ability to have it done well and right! The entire crew were always punctual. Everyone seemed to be customer service oriented, which was very important to us. After the job was finished, we completed a walk through. Anything that needed touched up was taken care of. Perfection! This team did an amazing job and THESE ARE THE PEOPLE YOU WANT IN YOUR HOUSE! We have already hired them again to install a kitchen backsplash!

With obvious water damage within our chimney, we called in contractors and chose Johnny DeBlieux and SouthFace Renovations to handle the job. Johnny presented us with a clear view of what they might expect to find upon demolition and an estimate to handle the hidden damage. Our chase was in better condition than expected and the job was completed ahead of schedule and under budget. The crew was efficient, friendly and professional. With such positive results, when the time came to bring in the painting crew to finish the job, we contracted with Johnny to have the entire house painted. Painting went beautifully. The guys did a great job and were a pleasure to have around. We will happily do business with SouthFace Renovations in the future.

They prepped outside - cleaned gutters, caulked, made repairs, very detailed. Painted trim, wood on sides above brick, front door, garage door, gutters, etc. Cleaned windows. We have a very high roof with gables & they got to places that had never been reached. They were very professional, didn't waste time, here every morning when expected, very nice. I felt very comfortable leaving house open. Did an overall great job!

I am over the top pleased with the job that Johnny and his team did at my house. This started as a paint job only. I interviewed a number of painters before settling on SouthFace Renovations, and none were just quite right. When I contacted Johnny, he returned my call within an hour, we agreed to meet the next day. We discussed my budget and some of the previous estimates, and he came back with a price and proposal that was exactly what I was looking for. Job was scheduled and work started inside of two weeks. The prep work that was done was absolutely impeccable. The crew did not miss anything - they actually spent about a week and a half straight washing, scraping, caulking, etc. before starting to paint. Everyone on the jobsite was friendly and respectful of the property. They even spent time picking up most of the paint chips from the yard when they were done. While they were working on the house, I inquired about having them tear down my existing fence and replace it. I had another company lined up to do that work, but after seeing how efficient SouthFace worked and seeing the quality and care of their work first hand, I actually paid a little more than I was going to pay the other company to have Johnny's crew do the job. One of my neighbors even hired them on the spot to continue the fence across the back of his yard. I will definitely use SouthFace again and I will tell anyone who will listen about what a positive and stress-free experience I had working with them. Aside from the quality of the work done and the fair price, the other driving factor is communication. Johnny is very plugged in with his clients, and very accessible. Throughout the entire process he explained what work was going to be done that day, he checked in frequently to give updates and make sure I was happy, he explained any delays or surprise issues thoroughly. If I didn't talk to Johnny I spoke with the job foreman. I always knew what was going on, they told me what they were going to do and they did it within the time promised. They even came back to help with odds and ends touches after the job was complete (breaking the seal on windows painted shut, hanging house numbers, etc. I have some interior paint projects that will need to be done later this year and I will definitely be using SouthFace!

I highly recommend Johnny and his crew. The work they did was of the highest quality. On time. On budget. All of his crew were courteous and professional. I will definitely use them again.

They did an outstanding job on my kitchen, bath, and den on both drywall repair and painting. The job came in significantly lower than other estimates, and they were able to finish in half the time. I will use them again for future jobs and would highly recommend anyone else to employ SouthFace.

Johnny and his team did so many things at our house, I can't even remember them all! We initially needed him to paint and repair the exterior of our house, and also tear down an old deck and spruce up the brick courtyard underneath. When other things come up (as they usually do with an older house) he did most free of charge, or gave us a great rate. We definitely felt like he had our best interest at heart. We were preparing to put our house on the market, so we didn't want to sink a ton of money into something we would be leaving. All his hard work worked - our house sold 9 days after we put it on the market! Aside from everything looking great, Johnny and his team were so thoughtful and friendly. My 18 month old son and I were home most of the time they were here, and they were always very polite and clean. I would highly recommend SouthFace Renovations for your renovating needs - you won't regret it!!

First off, I normally don't leave reviews for anything, but after my wonderful experience with Southface Renovations I decided to share. We wanted to paint the interior of our 2 store home (with 20 ft ceilings in living room and foyer), as well as the trim and windows of the exterior. I started by getting quotes from the top two painting companies listed on Birmingham's Angie's List. After receiving the quotes, I picked one of them. But, after initially telling me it would be about a week before they could start, he later said it would be closer to 4 weeks. I wanted it done sooner, so I went back to Angie's List and ended up calling Johnny with Southface to request an estimate. We spoke at about 3 pm and I told him the situation. Because it had been raining that day he was free... he came and met me at my house 2 HOURS LATER, and 30 miles away. Not only was his estimate LOWER than the two others I received, he also told me he could start in a couple days. I couldn't be happier with the results and experience with Johnny and his crew. We painted the interior walls and exterior trim of our 2 story home. Johnny and his crew were extremely skilled, courteous, and always on time. My wife, newborn son, and 2 year old daughter were at home with them during the entire process. They were extremely friendly and courteous...and American. What probably amazed me the most was how Johnny went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. He triple-checked the work and even painted some areas that weren't included in the estimate...FREE. Everything went perfectly throughout this entire process. I would recommend Johnny and Southace Renovations to everyone.

This company is FANTASTIC! So professional, clean, skilled, courteous, and always on time. We had our house painted this summer and it looks amazing. I was so impressed with these guys and will use them again for any painting needs in the future. I feel their prices were very reasonable & they were so nice & everyone one of my friends has commented on how amazing my house looks. Not only was the painting perfect & but they also worked non-stop to get the job done. Would definitely recommend using them for your painting needs, both inside & out!

Johnny was fun to work with. The guy is a good all around. Owner operator with a crew that is well behaved. He came by on time to give me an estimate. Had me a price by the following day. We scheduled the work and he showed up and finished on time. My house is on the market and if it weren't for his suggestions I wouldn't be about to close on it after years of waiting to sell. Hopefully we will soon! I would recommend him to my own family and friends with no worries!

Johnny came to my rental house to give me an estimate and I was sold right off the bat because he was so easy to talk to and a straight shooter. He got me a price the next day via email. I paid half up front he and his guys finished the day they said and cleaned up very well because they had to scrape so much of the old paint off. My rental looked brand new when they were done! I defiantly would recommend them. I have since referred him to many other friends and customers.

Everything went very well and professional. I contacted Johnny with south face and he came out the next day to give me am estimate. They started the work within a week and was finished in a very timely manner. Everyone was very polite and considerate We had a 1 year little girl and they worked around our schedule. Paint job is perfect and would reccomend to anyone. Thanks again south face. Its hard to find a good contractor these days!
