Great company

I like them a lot. I have used them in the past and I have always had good service from them especially in the spring it turned out that there was a stick caught in the unit outside and they just took the stick out. They charged me for the service call but I think some companies probably would have maybe not been truthful about that.

After the technician left, the house did not cool off. I called him 2 hours later to tell him that something appeared to be wrong. He responded that because of the heat, it often takes many hours to begin cooling the house. When it had not cooled another 2 hours later (10 pm), I just turned off the unit so as to check it in the morning & call for followup assistance. The next morning, I looked at the outside compressor myself. The technician had forgotten to reinstall the on/off switch! After I did this simple task, the airconditioner began working fine. Sentry appears to be very prompt and professional. Unfortunately, like so many similar A/C and Heating contractors, they take advantage of emergency situations to charge exorbitant prices for simple repairs.

A year ago, they had put in another thermostat for me. They are very good and have always been real good. If I have any problems I just call them and they come and fix it. They have always been honest, trustworthy and dependable.

I had some experience with some other companies, and Sentry charged $250, which was not a bad price. It includes more than one service. They come back out every six months and check it again. They were very helpful. I will use them in the future.

They've done a great job servicing my A/C, generator, and heater. They're a little pricey, but they seem to be highly qualified.

Our ancient A/C had started freezing up - a sign that it was getting low on refrigerant again. We paid several hundred dollars last year to have it recharged, but had decided it was time to replace it the next time it had problems. On Sunday, 6/27 the old unit froze up and we decided it was time to act. On Monday I began calling HVAC contractors and by Wednesday had five estimates. Sentry's estimator was prompt and professional. He took the time to ask questions and examined the old equipment to make sure replacement was the right option. He went back to his office to do his calculations and then sent an e-mail with three separate and very thorough proposals for completing the work - at varying efficiency levels and corresponding price points. I contacted the estimator mid-day Wednesday to see if they'd be able to do the replacement this weekend, before the July 4 holiday. He said they could and scheduled the work for Friday. Shortly before 8:00 on Friday morning, two technicians arrived from Sentry with all the necessary equipment to complete the job and quickly got to work. They were also very professional in both appearance and conduct. They worked the majority of the day - taking a break for lunch - and completed the job around 4:00 PM. They left both the area around the outside unit and the mechanical room in the house very neat and tidy. In the end, other than the new equipment, you could hardly tell that work had been done. Overall: a great experience with work performed exactly as quoted and in near-record time.

My central AC stopped working in April. They told me is was a freon leak & I could either pressure wash the unit & recharge it with freon ($600- included their $100 fee for visiting & performing diagnostic to tell me what was wrong) or get a new coil ($1800). I went with the cheaper option, and it stopped working again in June. They had warned me this was not a permanent fix, but also gave me the impression it was very probable that it would last through the summer. When it broke again, I decided to look into getting a new AC (they did not pressure me) because I had an old unit (13-14 yrs). While I was contemplating, they recharged my unit again for free so that we would have air for the weekend. I got several quotes & ended up buying a whole new AC & furnace for $5900, which was painful. They were very professional though, and installed it in one day, on time. The quality of the installation appears to be good, but I guess time will tell.

The serviceman told me that my A/C coils were leaking and had to be replaced for about $1200. He said that the source of a small amount of water on the flkoor near the A/C and water heater was leaking from the A/C. However, he advised against spending that money and strongly encourged me to replace the whole unit for $8000 to $11,000. I decided to get a second opinion. This time I was told there was absolutely nothing wrong with the A/C - no leaking from the coils or anything. Rather, the leak was from the valve on the water heater. I insisted that he check the coils and explained of my recent experience. I was assurred there was no problem with the A/C. So I called a plumber to fix the valve on the water heater. It cost $238 - not $11,000. I recall that when the same Sentry repairman was at my house in the fall, he advised that I replace the furnace b/c of I see a pattern.carbob monoxide leaks. So, I bought a couple of c.m. monitors which have never sounded an alarm. I think

They are always on time, are always courteous, and they always do a good job. Their prices are very competitive, and I have been happy with them.

Rusted valve incompletely closed. Fixed by further tightening.

Went very well; took less than an hour. Will not use their plumbing service again, due to the price of $330.00 to merely install a faucet and soap dispenser.

Project done in late May so AC was important. Removed old system and got AC working by the end of day 1, which was good. Came out and gave proposal before beginning. I accepted 4 bids and Sentry's was the most professional presentation and lowest cost/highest value given the system they proposed.

I have used Sentry in the past many times, and I have always been happy with their services. They have settled many stoppage problems I have had in my drains as well. I enjoy their work, and I feel that they are very professional at what they do. The workers are very intelligent, and I know that things will be done right the first time I call them. I am really not sure of the price of my sink.
