Safe-Dry Carpet Cleaning of Birmingham

This has been one of the most frustrating organizations to deal with that I have ever encountered. We bought the groupon, knowing that the sales pitch would come once they arrived. Since we needed a sectional cleaned, we expected to pay a fair price. The man that came to our house, Darrius, is the only considerate and professional encounter we had with anyone at this company. Very long story short...they ruined our carpet (after three failed attempts that have only made it worse), and they destroyed a $1600 rug that we didn’t even need cleaned. The rug was brought back wet and smelling of mildew and they tried a second time to clean it and the smell will not go away. We are now having to not only replace an expensive rug, but also 400 square feet of carpet. Everyone from the former manager to the new manager to the owner has given us the run around. I don’t trust a word that comes out of their mouths. My wife and I will be pursuing every legal avenue for compensation until we are made Whole. I will make everyone in Birmingham aware of our experience.

Ended up not getting the service done. The coupon for $59 for 3 rooms cleaned was deceptive. Fine print says "for 450 sq feet". For my master bedroom and living room, they quoted well over $200. I've used other companies such as Sears and Stanley Steemer in the past for these rooms and the pricing was much better. This appears to be a bait and switch tactic once they come to your home the day of the appointment. . No one contacted me to discuss pricing in advance. The only call i received was when the technician was on the way to my home. Appointment was set for 9am and they arrived around 940am. Frustrating overall experience. The technicians were very friendly and professional, but I recommend you take measurements and discuss pricing in advance.

We bought one of the Angie's "Specials" for $89 to clean three areas up to 550 sqft. There was about a week delay in getting someone to respond to us, then they even made us reschedule once. This was all very frustrating since we were trying to get the job done while the kids were at the grandparents for a week. Once someone finally arrived, the gentleman was polite, but clearly geared on trying to upsell us on extra chemicals and services. My husband made it clear that we weren't interested in that. He did the job and raked the carpet, but honestly when I came home it didn't look any better than if I had only vacuumed. So if you're prepared to spend several hundred dollars on carpet cleaning, maybe they do a decent job; I wouldn't know. I definitely won't use them again. You would think that the "promo" would be a good way to introduce yourself to new clients. If you do a good job, then they'll likely hire you again and pay the standard price. Instead, their sales model is to get their foot in the door and make you feel like you have to buy other services to get a good result. That's bad business in my opinion.

The service and response was excellent. i bit on one of those "$79 Specials to clean 3 areas of your house". I read the fine print and thought my large basement would be *close* to three areas. Ended up costing me about $350. There was also an extra fee if I we wanted to spot clean for pets that would have doubled the cost. I thought this was a bit misleading since the graphic on the "$79 Special" included a picture of a dog. Nonetheless, the cleaning did a good job and it was dry in about 2 hours. They were very punctual and professional. I will partially fault myself for believing another Angie's List "Special (I've been burned twice) and not calling the company to explain the details.

Branden was fantastic! He was 5 minutes early to our appointment and super nice. He took a look at two of our rugs that had been abused by our newest addition to our family, a 3 month old german shepherd, and gave us a price on having them cleaned. He took the rugs with him and returned them in less than a week smelling and looking better than ever! We were so pleased with the rugs that we had him clean two sofas in our living room, which also turned out great. Very pleased with this professional company and will definitely use again!

Everything from start to finish was excellent with Safe Dry. The lady who scheduled the appointment for us was polite, and professional answering all of our questions. Ben our cleaner was right on time, and did an outstanding job. This was our first time using a dry shampooing cleaning and I know this is the best cleaning we have every had. Ben went out of his way to do a very thorough job and even asked if he could help move furniture back in place. I have and will continue to recommend this company because of their excellent service!
