Rite Now Roofing

Rite Now roofing has been one of the worst roofing experience of my life. Initially he was called to fix a leak. I saw good reviews online and he seemed like an honest man. I knew nothing about roofing so I thought I could trust him. Unfortunately he also knew I didn?t know anything about roofing and he took full advantage of me. He convinced me and my insurance adjuster that my roof had a substantial amount of wind damage. Once the insurance approved a new roof, Daniel Bailey offered his services and I gave him the job. However, he didn?t start working until I paid him half up front. That was kind of a red flag, but I went ahead and did it. Once I paid him, all the problems begin: ? He called at least 20 times a day, even while I was at work. ? He only worked 2 to 3 hours a day. ? The material he used was the cheapest type. ? The material used was the worst of the cheapest type (Seconds/rejects) ? He damaged my gutter with his ladder in the front and back of my house. ? Rite Now charged $225 twice to replace rotted decking (3 different contractors said they only charge $40) ? Nails were in the wrong location on the shingles ? Only 2 or 3 nails were used per shingle ? Shingles were not spaced properly. ? Some shingles didn't even have nail heads which meant the nails went all the way through the roof. ? He refused to pay me back $954 for additional shingles that he didn?t even purchase after I saw his quality of work and told him to stop what he was doing. Rite now roofing left my roof in worst shape then it was before. I?m embarrassed to walk outside and face my new neighbors or let my kids play in the front yard. I have never felt so scammed before in my life. And I don?t think filing a lawsuit would help because probably wouldn?t pay. Can't sue any one that doesn't have money. As my grandmother would say, can't squeeze blood from a turnip. Roofing is definitely not their specialty, but scamming people out their hard-earn money is. So the only thing I can think to do is save others from being robbed and warn others that there are people out there that will scam you and not think twice. Unfortunately, we are now we are having to get a whole new roof again. We have had different contractors come look at our roof for quotes. It hurts that a person you thought you trusted in the beginning can be so low down and take all your money. Daniel always talked about God this and God that.....after all this, he is more of a hypocrite. Karma is nothing to mess with though and neither is God's wrath. P.S. We think he might have had other roofing companies in the past. This is what some predators do, they change their company names a lot so people esp. BBB can't track them. We have found negative reviews under different company names but same owner and I trust my gut on this one that is the same man. I wish I could talk to some of his pas customers to see what they were able to do. Again, this is all new to us. So please be aware.
