Description of Work: This amazing experienced team of Cheryl, both Jeff’s, Scott and Richard were an answer to prayer and a blessing to work with! They are true serving and devoted Christians and were calming and reassuring from our first meeting to the end of our project! We had a large portion of our roof blow off during a severe storm on July 12, 2020 and we sustained complete devastation to our entire upstairs. Following our insurance adjuster, I interviewed 3 water restoration companies and restoration 1 was at my home within 75 min of my phone call to assess our damage and explain their services and expertise to us. I felt led to hire this team and they absolutely went above and beyond for us!!They came in and effortlessly took over when I was reeling in a state of shock and disbelief! They managed the whole project including working with and submitting every detail of their extensive report to our insurance agent! They used their water saturation monitors and took 100’s of photos for insurance! They honestly came in and wrapped their arms around me each day and said “ we got this... it’s going to be okay”! They boxed up every last thing in our upstairs and transported every clearly labeled box and ALL of the furniture down the steps to storage or out to the dumpster that they rented for us. This was then followed with the removal of all the doors, fixtures, lighting and closet shelving. Then came the tear out of ALL the water soaked sheetrock and insulation in the walls and ceilings of every area in our entire upstairs level! These guys wore professional haz-mat suits and head /mask coverings in temperatures of greater than 100* F. because our air conditioner was inoperable in these conditions in the middle of July in Alabama! We sustained so much damage that we were gutted down to studs and had to completely rebuild! They painstakingly worked in our home for over a week getting us dried out and treated for mold and never complained about the enormity of our actual damage! Their pricing is very competitive and fair and the entire team is always available and returns texts, emails and phone messages that day. They do what they say they are going to do! They are always extremely respectful in my home and to my family! They laid down pathways of cardboard sheeting to protect our main level as they made 100’s of trips up an down the stairs and though my main leveI with heavy duty bags of debris. We trusted them in our home alone while I was out running construction errands! Restoration 1 is a solid professional team of integrity and their work ethic and attention to detail shines through! I would hire them again immediately and have referred them to others who are in need of this kind of work! I am honored to write this review and hope it leads you with comfort and confidence to hire them should the need arise! They will not disappoint and will honestly comfort you through this stressful and devastating event! I am truly so grateful that I hired Restoration 1 of Birmingham!
