The electrician also tried to emotionally manipulate me into changing more breakers saying, 'I see you've got kids and you wouldn't want anything to happen with them in the house.' It also worries me when an electrical repair company offers a finance program. A friend had them quote to replace the mains cable into his house. They quoted $3,000 and tried to get him to do other work as well. He had it done by another qualified electrician for half that who told him none of the other work they wanted to do needed to be done. I would not call them back.

Very timely and polite. However, I will not be using them. Their pricing is straightforward but quite high. Their "sales" pitch was a bit over-the-top and the Christian slant was personally also pushy.

I have used him in the past and it is a fairly good sized company. It was a very fair price based on everything that we saw.

Same day service, arrived in staed time window, communicated with me, and successfully addressed electrical issue.

My wife called them and they charged $180 to replace a $15 fuse. We asked for an additional estimate on what it would take to replace the fuse box to circuit breakers and we were quoted $5000. They do really good and thorough work, but like other reviewers have stated, we will look elsewhere to have our box replaced due to their high cost.

They were very good, very punctual and very thorough. It wasn't cheap but they did a good job and I stayed here until it was done.

the repairman was very professional, just very overpriced. The cost was $212.00 and that was after the Angie's List $25.00 coupon.

We scheduled a time for the ON Time Electric electrician to be at our home on Thursday between 8 and 10 a.m. But they said they would try to work us in on the previous day, which they did. The electrician showed up exactly when they said. It turned out the problem was outside our home and was Alabama Power's responsibility. On Time Electric called Alabama Power themselves and explained the problem they found that the power company had missed. The electrician could not have been any nicer. He explained things in terms we could understand. He was friendly and very professional. We had a very good experience.

Tech arrived on time, handled all contact with Alabama Power, got work order, and finished with promised time frame. He was professional, pleasant, and considerate of our loss of power time frame.

I had found Adkins On Time on Angies List and had heard there many commercials on the radio. I gave them a call and set up the appointment. I am happy to say they lived up to their name and were 10 minutes early so yes, they were on time. I explained my needs and they came up with a few suggestions to save me some money and improve the lighting in my back yard. Like a good consumer, I got 2 more estimates from the pages of Angies List but the guys at Adkins really impressed me the most and I went with them. The workers were courteous, clean cut and very respectful. The work they did was top notch and I could not be happier with the experience.

They are fabulous. I have been doing business with them for several years and they are just wonderful. They give me times to select; it is whatever is most sensible for me. They come in that time slot and they call before they come. They are extremely polite and they know what they are doing. They are careful not to sell me anything I don't need. They give real good advice and if I suggest something and they don't think it will fit, they will tell me. The last time they were here, the man did a great job and it hardly took him any time at all. He was very pleasant and he came on time. He was careful of the house. He put on booties to keep from tracking on anything in my house. They say on their motto that if anyone is rude or uses ugly language while they are here, then they will not charge for the service. They are thoroughly decent people. They send me a Christmas card. This year's Christmas card had everyone of their workers on it in front of the business. It is obvious that they appreciate my business.

I discussed the scope of work and the type of device with Kerry Adkins via email and phone. He also sent me links to the Eaton site to read the manufacturer's info on the device. Getting a better understanding of the capabilities of this type of system helped me greatly in deciding whether or not to do the work. Once I decided to have the device installed, I set up the date/time. Jimmie Jenkins, who has been at our house several times, arrived on time. We discussed the device and his installation work before he began and Jimmie got started. He finished within an hour or so and also pointed out some limitations in my grounding system. It did not need to be done to install this equipment, but Jimmie explained the steps needed to improve the system and gave me a quote in case I choose to have that work done later. Good job by Jimmie and Adkins.

It went very well, Electrician inspected the fan issue and quoted the price to fix. I didn't use their service as the price was very high.

This was sometime in 2010. They called about 1 hour before they were supposed to show up and said that they would not be able to make it there that day - I expected that they would have known that on the morning of that day. They did not charge me the service amount - but I still had to take the whole afternoon off of work because of their late call. The work performed was done - but it was not professional (didn't clean up after themselves). They also tried to upsell me - I really wanted them to just do an outstanding task on the job that I gave them, not to let them wander around my house finding stuff they can charge me for. Kerry Adkins did call me a few days after that and I was in the middle of something so I told him to call back - he never did and I tried a few times to reach him.

The work has not been completed (was to be completed several months ago). The company scheduled at least one "final" visit but the representative did not come or cancel. Overall, a very poor experience. Would not recommend.

The representatives from On Time Electric were easy to schedule and they were punctual to the appointment. They put the little booties on their shoes as mentioned in other reviews. However, when pricing the job they used some sort of "menu" that had a cost for each line item, and when they priced it out like that it came to over $3500 - that is WITH their maintenance plan discount (which you also have to purchase). I guess that method is fine if you have one thing that you need done, but I had several dedicated circuits that needed to be installed (which priced at just under $600 each), all the way down to smaller items like changing out switches and outlets (priced at $60 each). I ended up using a contractor that worked under an hourly rate, and just gave him my list and let him have at it (which, frankly, is how I've always worked with electricians). Actual cost was 1/5 of what On Time Electric quoted me. I may try On Time if I have an emergency or just need one thing done - the size of their crew makes me think they may be fairly accessible - but I would never use them for any large jobs based on the way they price out their work.

Adkins was professional and courteous from start to finish. Our electrician was prompt and efficient. He also looked at some wiring issues is our home and made arrangements to return in the future to provide an estimate. We have used Adkins in the past and have never been disappointed.

I was having some weird electrical symptoms. Lights were going up and down rapidly, fans were going from fast to slow and back again.... Adkins came out promptly, asked where the power line came into the house, walked around to the power pole, and diagnosed the problem all in about two minutes. They showed me a damaged power line coming into the house, explained the danger of it, and had me shut off all power to the house. They also notified the power company of the damage to the wiring from the power pole. They wrote up a fixed-price, itemized list of suggested repairs (and those required by code, since it's an older house), and gave me some options on price/features. There was no pressure or hurry whatsoever. After I decided how to proceed, they made an appointment to come back to perform the repairs. They arrived when scheduled and performed the repairs professionally and promptly. I also had them install a connection to hook a generator into the house wiring as long as they were there. After they had done all of their work, they had to make an appointment with Alabama Power to replace damaged wiring between the pole and the house. (Adkins handled all communications with the power company, and actually got real live people on the phone!) On the day the power company was to come, something came up which delayed power co. workers from arriving at the appointed time. Since Adkins had come to meet them, rather than sit around in the yard or going for coffee, they got out some tools and repaired a wrought iron gate in my yard which had come loose from the wall !! (And did a dang good job, to boot!)
