it was very good work. the quality of the work

It was alright. Came and cut the tree down. But did not clean up like they should. It them longer then expect for the clean up.

This is by far the most unprofessional company I have ever hired to do work at my house. To begin with, the estimator came out and gave me a price on having 2 trees cut down and having the stumps ground - trees are in the back yard behind a locked gate. I was told to expect a phone call that afternoon for scheduling. After 3 days I called the office and was told that they never received my estimate but they would put me on their schedule. A date was set and then was moved several times. I scheduled someone to come do bobcat work around that date as well. I then received a call asking if they could come that day (Thursday) and do the work. I said yes and left my office to go home and meet them. They finally showed up around 4:45 in the afternoon and got one tree down and told me that they would be back at 8:30 am the next day. I had to call the office at 3 pm to see if they were still coming to finish the work since I had to take another day to stay home from work. I waited to hear back and was told that they should be out sometime that afternoon. The crew finally showed up around 5:30 pm. They were able to get the second tree down but did not have the equipment to grind the stumps and I was told that they would come Saturday morning to finish up. Saturday came and went without anyone showing up and no phone call. The following Wednesday I get a call from the office asking if I was happy with the work and to confirm that they had removed all the debris from my yard, I told the person on the phone that they were not supposed to remove debris but they were supposed to grind stumps. She was unaware of this and said that she would make a note of it and have someone call me. Later that afternoon I got a phone call letting me know that someone would be out the next morning to grind stumps. I waited the entire day at home after taking off work, again, and NTS was again a no call no show. At this point I gave up on having anyone come complete the job. A couple weeks later, the company showed up without calling to try and finish grinding 2 stumps. The guy told my wife that he couldn't finish because there was some concrete and rocks that the didn't initially see and that he would need to come back later to finish the work. At this point I have had to call and cancel on my bobcat guy twice, which has cost both of us money. This job was started in April, and it is now the end of May. If you don't have anything to do and want to work with a company that is completely incompetent with communication, then National Tree Service should be ok. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and stay clear.

It was alright. They got it removed. They were on time and very professional.

They are a good company. It was fine. They cleaned up after work.

They did a fabulous job. Very professional. They were extremely careful. They communicated well. They worked well together. I've recommended them several times.

We use them regularly. I was happy with them. They were prompt, professional and did what we needed them to do.

The workers came by the morning of the appt day and cut the limbs down without anyone being home. They did not get all of the dead limbs out of the tree I had asked to be removed. They severely cut back the limbs over my house rather than cutting some of the lower limbs and leaving the higher limbs, they did not cut the limbs over the driveway and did not cut the limb hanging on the corner of the neighbor's house. There was sawdust all over the roof of the house and it has been blowing on the deck ever since. Just makes it messy until we sweep the dust off. I was surprised with all the equipment they have they did not have a blower to at least clean off the deck! The office worker, in the office, was very apologetic and we rescheduled to have them come out again today at 4:00. They called to tell me they were coming out earlier and I told them no; 4:00. My brother was home at the appropriate time and with some arguing from and with the head worker on site, the limbs were cut and they were asked to leave the property as soon as they were finished. My brother apologized for his attitude, the other worker apologized for the worker on site's attitude, and they left. No, I won't use them again, but I think they would be a good company to use if you were on site and gave them very specific directions while they were there.

This is the second time that I have utilized National Tree Service. I called their offices on 2/26/2013 in the morning after a storm had knocked down a very large limb from a tree in my front yard the previous night. Within a short period of time the owner, Dennis Peppers, arrived to give me an estimate. After agreeing on a price to take down the tree in question, an hour later a very large crew arrived on site: a crane, a chipper truck, a debris truck and a pick-up with a total of 5 people. The work was fast, efficient and safely performed. The tree was taken down, all debris removed and the yard cleaned up better than when they arrived, all within a few hours. My neighbors were amazed, as I was, on how quickly the work was accomplished. I would definitely utilize their services again if the need arose and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for any type of tree service needs.

The owner's name was Dennis Peppers and I think he is mostly like an emergency tree removal man, like if there are storms and debris everywhere. It was a huge tree, probably 100-years old, and it was fanning so much that it was ruining the whole neighborhood. It was bad and it needed to come down before it fell down. He did a great job. He cut my tree down and his workers were very careful not to cause any destruction, and they left my yard cleaner than it was before they got there. The tree was huge and I thought that it was a very reasonable price. I had three quotes. I had three people come out. The crew showed up first thing in the morning, and they had the equipment ready. They had to use one of those huge bucket trucks, and then Mr. Peppers showed up to check on his crew to make sure everything was going okay. Mr. Peppers was very professional, and the crew members were kind of roughnecks that climbed trees, but they were nice. I appreciated how well they knew what they were doing. I had called on him after; unfortunately he was too busy since it was after the tornadoes. He is actually in demand.

They were friendly and showed up fairly promptly. They were nice.

They got out here fast (even on a Sunday) and gave us the best quote. Returned promptly and got the job done quickly that same day. My only disappointment was that they cut limbs off of my other trees that the large tree fell on do get done quickly.

It took a few days to get the company to come out and when they did schedule the service we were required to set the whole day aside to accommodate their potential arrival time. The associated inconveniences that accompany scheduling any significant work of this nature were more than mitigated by the aggressive, professional, and expedient nature of the tree removal once the contractors arrived on site. They did an exceptional job of removing the trees, entirely removing the stumps, removing all debris, and filling/grading the area in a matter of hours. I was also pleased with the manner in which they got their equipment in and off of the property with a minimum of damage from heavy equipment or debris.

They had a crew there quickly because I had an emergency situation. They did a good job and did what they needed to do. The workers worked hard, and the company seemed professional.

I called the company around 9:30ish a.m. and by 10am Mr.Pepper was at my home to give an estimate. When we agreed on what was to be done and the price he said he might be able to come over later the same day since they were doing work in the area. Approx. 3p.m he and his crew came and did a wonderful job even as threatening storms were approaching. They finished the cuttings and were about to clean up when golf size hale began raining down and we all headed to the porch for protection. It didn't last long and in a few minutes the guys were back out even in the rain and got all the yard cleaned and ready for the debris to be picked up. They left and about 15 min. later there pick-up crew came and within a short period it was whisked away as if nothing had occurred. Hooray, what a great company and crew. I was more than pleased with such good service. Thank you so very much for recommending them and thank them for a job well done.

Called early on a weekday to request service. Within several minutes, I received a call back withing asking if I could meet Dennis Peppers at the residence within a half hour. Dennis arrived on time, gave me a verbal estimate, told me he would honor the 'Angie's List' discount and said he'd have a crew out late that same day. The crew showed up at 5:15pm, got to work immediately and finished before dark. They did an excellent job working with branches that had grown around wiring. They also removed all the debris and left the site clean. Would highly recommend!

Didn't remove all the limbs I wanted removed and cut down a valuable Dogwood that I specifically asked twice not to remove. When asked said we did what we said we would do.

A happy ending to an unlucky 7/7/07. At 1pm on a rainy (not stormy) Saturday, a 100+ year old oak tree broke in mid-trunk and fell in our front yard, blocking one lane of the main road and most of our front yard. This was the first tree service I called that had a live person answer the phone. Mr. Pepper and crew arrived within the hour, assessed the situation, gave an estimate and had the street cleared and blinking warning signs set up in under 2 hours. They returned the next day at 7am as promised and brought their crane to lift the rest of the tree to the ground for easier chopping up. Cut up the remaining tree trunk and limbs and carted all away, finishing by noon as promised. All of this was accomplished in a steady pouring rain.

Peppers did a good job cutting down the tree in the back. There was no big mess and what they did make they cleaned it up, and I am pleased with the work and enjoyed the professionalism of the workers. I do not think they were very high priced because this is a risky business, and they are putting there self in danger I think. Anyways, I would hire them again if I needed to with no problems at all.

They had a really good crew and they did a good job cleaning up as well. We have used them for a much bigger job, but more recently they just took this one tree down and out. They were good to us the first time, so we used them again knowing they were experienced and dependable.

This is an old company and they did an excellent job. They are very reasonable and very reputable and they are quick to get out and do the work for you. They came out in the morning and looked at the trees and they came back in the afternoon and cut them down. Everybody knows Peppers Tree Service.
