My microwave stopped working and I looked up Angie's list for a suitable repair outfit in my area. I found "Mr.Appliance Over The Mountain" fitting my needs and expectations and scheduled an online appointment. Scheduling went very well, quick and responsive. On the day the technician was to perform the repair, I received a heads-up call to tell me that the technician was on his way. I was also given his name. I really appreciated both the call and providing the technician's name because they are good safety features. The scheduling window was two hours and the technician arrived well within that time frame. The technician was very competent, professional and quickly assessed my microwave and what was wrong with it. Unfortunately, the magnetron had failed, a replacement would cost $700 and my unit was 13 years old. Since this was my first dealing with this company and the service was performed in less than 10 minutes, the company and technician agreed not to charge me for the service as a business courtesy. All in all this was a great experience and I was extremely grateful for the upfront assessment and projected repair costs. I also enjoyed the fact that the technician was very competent. I will definitely use this company again and have already recommended it to friends of mine.

The service and experience were excellent. I was able to schedule service over the phone promptly. On the date of service, I was running a little late and was able to call and was informed the technician would wait since he was actually ahead of schedule. The work was don't efficiently and the dryer has been working just fine. However, I think their parts are a little pricey. Overall, I was pleased with the services provided and the technician, Witten, in particular. I would use this company again.
Description of Work: Fixed noisey dryer by replacing a felt gasket.

The girl that answered the phone told me they had to do a diagnostic. I told her that I just needed someone to put on a handle and did not need a diagnostic. She told me she would have someone call me within the hour. No one ever called me back. I’ve been waiting for them all day. I called another place and they were so nice.

.I came home to find my freezer/refrigerator unit not cooling, and in fact, the ice had melted and everything was thawing out. I called Mr. Appliance and the lady who answered was sensitive to my urgent need for a repair, so she managed to schedule someone that very afternoon Witten came out and put in a new control board which he had in his truck, and my refrigerator was working again. I only had to throw out a relatively small amount of food, so I was grateful that they were able to come out and repair it as quickly as they did.

Tony Wiliams, the technician called before arriving and arrived on time. He placed his own mat in front of our door and proceeded to put shoe covers on before entering the house. He allowed me to describe the problem and proceeded to do his work. It didn't take him long to locate the problem, but he did not have the part to complete the repair. However, he did temporarily fix the problem so that there was no squeak. He told me the company would be in contact as soon as the part arrived to schedule the final repair. This took place exactly as he described. Tommy was very professional and it was clear that he took pride in his work and in making sure I was completely satisfied. I was very impressed with him as well as the friendliness and professionalism of the person I talked to at the company when I called to schedule the work. The cost was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them for any appliance repair work and will definitely use them again for any and all appliance work that I may need.

I had contacted Mr.Appliance on Angie's list. It took some days before I got a response back. So,I called back and explained my problem. I had already looked on the internet to see what could be wrong. The main thing that could have gone wrong was the LED panel,which would require a new one at worst. Tony the service person came out at the appointed time. He was very professional and super polite. He put a little rug in front of my door ,and put booties on. He pulled the fridge out and took the panel of the bottom, where another instrument board is. He then proceeded to reset everything. The fridge panels then rebooted ,just like a computer. He waited for that to finish and everything went back to normal. He explained that it was a 50/50 chance that things would just work again. It is now a day later and everything is still on. he also explained that if things went out,I would be in for a large expense. I had already read that ,the LED panel is $400 but the panel underneath is also about that price,so $1000 plus in cost. So, for now,he tried to not go into that and I really appreciate that. If things don't work out with the panel,if I need new things.the initial service of $79 will be subtracted from the new amount. Yes, I will definetly use this company again. Very ,very pleased.....
Description of Work: I have an Electrolux refrigerator.The LED panel was showing CE on the front.The light inside had gone off,but was not broken.The icemaker stopped working,so did the water supply.

Mr. Appliance is my poster child of why I rely on Angie's List. They have their top ratings for a reason. This was my third time to need them (reflecting the age of my appliances, not the quality of their work!). Tony is the tech assigned to my area, and he's been the one to show each time. Gets in, does the work and gets out. Located the part yesterday, requested it be expedited, and got it fixed earlier than promised. Always wears paper slippers on shoes and cleans up behind himself.

Outstanding service! We are very happy. The repair man came in a company vehicle with extensive parts on board. He wore a company uniform and had all the tools he needed. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He used a mat to clean his feet and wore shoe mitts. He quickly diagnosed the problem and made the repair. Afterwards he explained what he did and what we should look for in the future. It was THE model for how you would want a service call to go.

The repair person, Tony, was extremely professional and pleasant. He took care not to track dirt in with his own door mat and booties and left everything neat and clean. After his diagnosis, he explained the problem very thoroughly and gave the exact cost. He returned before we expected and finished quickly. One of the best repair experiences we have ever had. Definitely would use this service again

Once I called I had an appt within a day. I was told a time between 1 and 3 and Tony showed up promptly at 1. Took only a few moments to diagnose the issue with my badly clunking washing machine. Explained the issue (damaged transmission and centrifugal motor), showed me the damage and advised not to repair as the cost for both repairs and parts would not be worth the expense and would total probably more than a new washer. He also pointed out where continued use could pose a safety issue and advised to discontinue use. He was prompt, professional and courteous. Definitely worth the diagnostic fee to see what the issue was and to determine if worth fixing. Highly recommend.

Marc, The service technician was excellent. He came out when promised, diagnosed the problem but had to order the repair part. We gave me a cost for the repair and part. We paid a deposit equal to the service charge. The part came in earlier than expected and he came out asap to do the install. He completed the final payment by credit card (handheld device) and I later received a email that was $48.00 more that the quote. I called the office, it was after hours and was told the owner (Tammy) would contact me. Two days later and no return call. I called and talked with Amanda, she asked for the copy of the original quote-which I supplied, she said she would talk with the owner and have her call me in the next day or two. No call back. I made another call and the owner was out to lunch- I left a message for her to call me. NO RESPONSE. I had to make a fourth call before I finally got a message that the owner would correct the overpayment and issue a credit back to the credit card. My complaint is that the owner would not take the time to return a call to fix a mistake that I think was done by accident.

My experience was very good. A week later, it broke again. They came back out and saw that the 2nd repair was going to cost a lot more. They advised to get a new washer and refunded my money from the first visit beside the service charge.

I was SO pleased that Troy could come out the same day I called - I had two issues - my oven door wouldn't close all the way and my icemaker wasn't working. Troy found replacement parts for the stove and for the fridge, and said he could come back as early as the next day to fix everything. I called the office - they were so friendly - and scheduled him to come back out on Friday. He quickly replaced the icemaker, and a full weekend later, it's working great. The oven maker only sent one hinge, so he'll be back Monday to fix that.
Description of Work: Troy from Mr. Appliance diagnosed a problem with our icemaker and replaced it and the drain hose, and ordered hinges for the oven door so it would close all the way.

First repairman left dryer vent unhooked and did not repair problem. 2 nd repairman fixed it, but temporarily. The parts to fix washer were $700 so I bought new dryer and washer. The front loaders only lasted 5 years

Service was fine, but it was pricey. I would have preferred to get a second quote but $90 diagnostic fee (waived upon service) tends to lock you into accepting their price. I also question whether they applied the 10% Angie's list coupon given to them. I inquired and was was informed that the discount was applied but the invoice did not explicitly show a discount. I will probably use a different servicer in the future, purely based on cost.

My icemaker wasn't draining properly. I called at around 11 a.m. and spoke with a very professional, sympathetic and helpful customer servicer rep. She scheduled same-day appointment for between 1 and 3 pm. The technician arrived at about 1:00. Triaged the problem, gave me details on options, taking the time to answer my questions. He got my ice maker up and running and set me up with a much better drainage system. All in a very professional and courteous manner, and, at a very fair price. I will call them again when I have a need. And recommend to others. A side note - My technician shared that they were very family friendly and that would always be willing to have a technician answer questions before sending someone out. After he left, I realized that I had experienced that with them (Saw their number on my phone from an earlier conversation ). Back in May my A/C was not staying on. Turned out to be a simple DIY fix; Change the batteries in the digital thermostat. See, I called and they walked me through it before automatically scheduling someone to come out. It was a Sunday so if they had sent someone, I'd have paid a hefty fee. Bottom line, high quality, honest, skilled, customer service oriented!
