Instead of a new fridge we were able to keep this one running, and my milk is staying fresh again. Service was professional, employee was extremely nice and his work sight stayed clean.
Description of Work: My fridge was no longer cooling (but the freezer was still freezing. In ten minutes he was able to determine that my thermostat was OK, but that the cool air vent was stuck closed. My Kenmore (2002 Sears model) fridge needed a new part that required special ordering. The tech was able to "Macguiver" a solution for the waiting period until the part arrived.

Troy arrived at the back end of the given window. He was friendly the whole time he was here and was efficient about fixing my refrigerator. He brought in a shop-vac to clean up standing water inside the appliance from clearing the freeze. He was here for less than an hour. My biggest complaints are that he left a lot of water in my kitchen floor and he squished my (now softened) ice cream bars into a mushy, mangled mess in the back of my freezer where I had to empty everything out to find them. (They were in the front previously).

I called Mr Appliance and they sent Marlon out within a few hours. Marlon was an excellent serviceman. Very professional and personable and he knew what he was doing. He took the time to explain what was going on with my refrigerator. He also explained how he knew exactly what the problem was, what part was needed, the warranty, etc. The repair was made in about 30 minutes. I highly recommend Mr Appliance Over the Mountain!
Description of Work: My GE refrigerator stopped cooling. It needed a new control board. Control board was replace within 30 minutes and refrigerator is working perfectly.

Usually I just want repair folks to do the job and LEAVE. This young man, Marc, was efficient and so professional--felt like they'd sent the manager! And here's the thing--I called at noon, hoping to get an appointment in the next month. Turns out they had a person in the area, and he was at my door within 30 minutes. I cannot believe I let this go for so long, and got it fixed so quickly. Yahoo!
Description of Work: My dryer had been only partially drying loads for a long time--never knew who to call, as past providers were expensive and sub-par. Joined Angie's list to find someone, and these folks had such positive reviews. I am adding to those reports. This was probably the easiest, most professional, cost-effective, and pleasant service encounter I've had in a long, long time. The problem was just a clogged vent. The young man cleaned it, cleaned up the room, and then did a check on my washer as well just as a courtesy. All is well. Call them. It will make your life easy--your appliance will be fixed and you will feel like you got way more than your money's worth.

Our experience with Mr. Appliance was very good - I have no complaints and would certainly use them again.
Description of Work: The oven was not heating to the correct temperature. They replaced the sensor but that didn't correct the problem. Of course, our problem could never be that simple - the main control board (mother board) had to be replaced. The money we had spent on the sensor was credited towards the mother board.

Serviceman, Tony Williams, came the same day we called and fixed our 8-year-old fridge which had quit cooling (though the freezer still worked). He figured out the problem was a faulty thermostat within the first 5 minutes after eliminating a couple options. Once he changed the thermostat, he took extra time with a steamer to de-ice the back of the freezer which was inhibiting air circulation and keeping the fan from kicking on. He was very professional and thorough and explained what he found and what needed to be done each step of the way. The work is guaranteed under warranty for a year. I am really pleased!

We called on July 4th and they had someone taking calls. They made an appointment for the next day. They called again to let us know when the technician was on his way. The tech (Josh) was very personable and professional. He explained the problem and gave us a quote. He had to order some parts. On the day that the parts came in they called again to set up a time for Josh to come. They got our refrigerator repaired in a timely manner for a fair price. This is a top rate company, highly recommended!
Description of Work: There were several parts in the ice dispenser that had to be replaced. One par was letting moist air come into the freezer and clog up the ice dispenser.

Arrived on time, nice, professional. Drained water cleaned filter. The issue may be a bit blockage, but more like the pump is failing, considering the 8 year age and over 3k loads this may be true, shock absorber's are failing, as well, may be time to replace soon. Charged $100.00 which could be applied to the pump replacement if it fails anytime soon.

the Tech was prior military which is always a plus to me. He was very nice, courtous and very professional. I had already been trouble shooting the issue and had it narrowed down and he agreed with my assessment. In fact, he let me use my part and monitored me installing it and only charged me an assessment fee. I really liked the tech even on a personal level. you won't go wrong doing business with this company

The representative showed us the issue. He did not charge us for the trip because there was nothing wrong with the fridge, which was exceptional. He came on time and was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and we would not hesitate to call him again.
Description of Work: We had a leak in the refrigerator. Water was coming out from under the fridge. We submitted information through their website for them to come out. They came out today and stated the issue was a matter of something we had done as far as not replacing a drain collector that my wife had taken out when she had cleaned. I then had failed to replace it. The frosting of the freezer unit, which is a normal function, went on to the floor instead of going into the collector.

Both the washing machine and the dishwasher were making weird noises. Both work but I felt that they needed to be checked out. As I stated above the repairman was pleasant only about 15 minutes late (fine) but could not fix the problem. In the case of the dishwasher he said that replacing the motor would cost about as much as a new one. I guess he is right.
Description of Work: Very nice, on time but could not fix anything. Dishwasher had a bad motor and the washing machine he could not detect any problems other than loud noise that he said was related to motor. A little disappointed that neither appliance could be fixed.

Very pleased with the service. Technician was on time, very polite and professional. Was very informative about the issue and even though he could not repair the unit as the part needed was no longer made, he offered his advice for replacement ovens. Service person was prompt, professional, capable. Fixed a broken switch in under ten minutes. HOWEVER - I was charged $160 for this, and since a lid switch for my washer only costs a couple of dollars (according to amazon.com), I'm assuming that I just paid someone $160 for ten minutes of work. Would NOT recommend these guys, and will not be using them again, for this reason. I feel like I got ripped off.

Love the 2 hour time frame for the appointment but also the phone call that lets us know the technicians "were on their way". Went above our expectations when, upon removing the outside vent hood it crumbled due to age, the technicians drove to the nearest hardware store & purchased a new 4" vent hood, then installed it with new screws & caulking. No extra cost, Wow! We will positively be recommending this Mr Appliance to our family & friends. Also loved that they put covers over their shoes upon entering our home each time which on this rainy day protected our beige carpet.
Description of Work: Have a 14yr old Amana dryer that we have no intention of replacing in the next few years - it's not in our short range budget - so we good care of it by using it efficiently (i.e. don't overload it so that the heated air can't move between the clothes, clean out the lint filter every 20 minutes when its running, remove clothes as soon as they are dry, etc) However, the venting has not been cleaned since we moved into our home 3 yrs ago when we had to work hard to setup our laundry closet in the half bath, (removed bathroom & closet doors, vent through side of dryer to avoid having a kinked/pinched line, move dryer into the laundry closet while attaching it straight to the vent pipe & sealing the connection w/ foil tape, move front loading washer into the closet, reinstall the all 3 doors). Having recently had a more than pleasant experience w/ Mr. Appliance in fixing our Jenn Aire refrigerator, we were in contact w/ them as to whether there was a easy way to clean our dryer duct. Turns out Mr. Appliance does this service from the outside of the home. Hallelujah!

I will definitely use them again! They were timely, courteous and professional. They fixed my problem and showed me how to unclog it the next time, and even gave me tips on common problems.
Description of Work: My washer quit draining on Sunday evening so I called first thing Monday morning and scheduled an appointment for later in the day. They were clear about the cost of the service call on the phone. The repairman called ahead to say he was on his way, which was during the stated time provided. When he got here, he knew exactly what the problem was - a clogged filter. He told me how much the labor would be and then proceeded drain the tub and unclog it. He showed me how to do it myself the next time, even pointing out which type of screw is used on the front panel.

Our dryer quit heating so I replaced the element and the thermal fuse. It quit working the next day, so I call Mr. Appliance. They were able to send someone the same day and he replaced the fuse with a better fuse and completed the job quickly. The dryer has worked well since and I am pleased with the service provided.

Noticed Saturday evening that the refrigerator was not cooling, so we closed the doors which were not to be opened until it was fixed. Sunday evening, after investigating the Large Appliciance Repair listings in 3 different phone books as well as everyone I Know did not have a good recommendation on companies that they had used locatly, we joined Angie's List and chose the most recommended company. Called them on Monday morning and they were able to fit us in. The tech arrived within the 2 hour specified time limit, which was at the end of the day. Tech was courteous and professional, answered questions about his qualifications and how he did his job in determining the problem with our refrigerator, When the tech had to get to the inside back of the freezer he was greeted with a totally packed freezer, which we then unloaded into laundry baskets and discovered that the back of the freezer was covered in ice - defroster had not worked in quite some time. The tech knew exactly how to correct the problem and he was done posthaste and we didn't lose any food. I will be recommending this company & this tech to my mother & friends.

Tony arrived on time to service our dryer, and was polite and professional while he was here. The problem was the motor, which to fix would cost about the same as buying a new dryer, so no service was performed. However, he gave me some very practical, money saving advice on maintaining other appliances in our home, which I told him was worth the cost of the service call fee. Would definitely use this comany in the future.
