We signed a contract to install siding in November 2012. They said it should be complete by Thanksgiving 2012. Lowe's had trouble finding a contractor to do the work. We had several different people contact us saying they were going to do the work. In maybe January or February 2013 they delivered the siding and placed it in our front yard when they thought they had a person. However, no one actually started work until about 5 months into the project. Meanwhile the siding was sitting in our front yard. When the contractors finally started the work, they got most of the work done in a few weeks. However, work stalled because the contractor needed additional siding delivered to finish the job. It took several more weeks to get the new boards. When they finally finished installing the siding itself, it was probably early July of 2013. There were still some unfinished details, such as a wooden deck piece that needed to be reattached, a corner board that was not done, a light that needed to be reinstalled, and a power outlet that needed to be reinstalled. Getting these things complete took more time, and meanwhile the siding was in two piles in our front yard the entire time. After several more weeks we finally got the work complete, though there were still things that we weren't happy with, such as screens that the workers ripped, and small pieces of wood that got damaged when removing the old siding and never got patched and painted. Getting Lowe's to finally pick up the leftover siding took until early September 2013. They said they would give us a credit for the leftover materials, but so far we have not gotten it on our account (it is now almost November 2013). There are still some details that we are unhappy with, but we are tired of dealing with Lowe's and will probably just leave those details unfinished, or will find another way to get them done. In general, Lowe's was extremely unresponsive. We would often call and leave messages, and never get a return phone call. When there were delays, they would never let us know what was happening or why. We were mostly in the dark all the time about the project and how much longer it would take. Although we got an excellent price, we would not hire them again. We would rather pay extra to get someone to do the job in a shorter amount of time, or at least let us know what was going on and be more responsive to our questions and concerns.

Bad experience

Square footage was over estimated. I paid $5000. initially and $2000. worth of siding went back. Installation was good.

Contractor that did the work was very sloppy- he left supplies and empty food containers all over my yard and my neighbors yard. They kept parking in my driveway and my neighbors driveway and blocking access to my door I had to continuously ask them to move. They demolished the grass in my neighbors yard and my yard by dragging heavy equipment through the grass. When I complained about this the response was that it would grow back ( it didn't) I called Lowes and was told they didn't do sodding and I would have to call someone and submit an invoice for the work. I never did get any resolution even though I talked to Tony at Lowes several times. The job took 7 days to complete they would arrive late and leave early obviously they had another job they were working on. Overall a bad experience.

Their pricing is reasonable. We really appreciate the organization of the store. They, as well as other big box stores, could do better on customer service. We will continue to shop there.

Person delivered machine and installed machine on a timely basis.

They were competitive in terms of their pricing. They gave me attractive discounts and 18 months warranty. It was easy to do business with them. I was pleased with their job and will use their services in future.

They were cheaper for 30 year architectural tile and ridge venting than other estimates we received. They were very quick, they did the job in just over half a day. I also appreciate the warranty they gave. The only thing I didn't like was that a lot of nails were left in the yard.

I picked out the carpet and linoleum. Paid for it. Within three days they called with an installation date that was within 10 days of purchase. They arrived ON TIME. Did a good job and pointed out a problem I had with a very small leak in a bathroom. As this is a guesthouse, I would not have known of it otherwise. Definitely would use them again.

We are happy with the new counters. We went with granite even though it is very expensive. It goes all the way around the kitchen and on the center island. They sent out really good installers. We have no complaints on anything. The installers, the granite and the price are all fine.

I like Lowe's because even though they sub out the installation work they have great subs. They are professional and do a good job. Lowe's guarantees it. We have a large kitchen area and it is a good installation everything is even. Nothing is rolling up at corners, it is real professional. I just don't know what they charged me, it wasn't outrageous or anything.

Lowes did a wonderful job of helping us pick our the best quality and best looking door for us. The man who installed the door also did a wonderful job. There is no air leakage around the door and it fits well.

Working with Lowes was great the work was done quickly and it was quality work. The guys that came out and did it did a great job on cleaning up after themselves as they went so there wasn't to much of a mess while they were there. The finished product looks great.

We purchased more than one item from them so I do not remember the exact cost of the carpet. It was for the entire downstairs, hallways, stairs, living room, etc. The subcontractor they sent to install it was the main problem, he was not the most experienced and he brought children to the job site. Also when you go to the store for help the people really don't know a thing about carpet, they have never had real industry experience. I would use them but only if I knew a more qualified worker was coming out on any future jobs.

Along with great and high quality materials, they provided an excellent service both at the store and in my home. The floor was perfect and didn't have any bubbles or necks in it. They moved all of the appliances and put them back when the job was finished. I have had good experiences on many occasions through them.

The installers were great and they did such a great job. The customer service was so nice and helpful. They showed up on time and had the shutters installed before I got home from work. They were fast, professional and their prices were also reasonable.
