Description of Work: Having picked out a ceramic tile in the Pelham store, I requested a quote on installation. However, I explained that I had several remodeling tasks to complete before I could begin the tile work. Salesman Joe Savoie said he could help me out by getting me a contractor. Joe came to my home on his off-day in jeans and sweats, explaining he was not officially working for Issis, but as an individual. A contractor he'd found met him at my house. In discussing my projects, the contractor insisted on spray-painting inside my house, and he became irate when I questioned his reasoning on this. Speaking directly to Joe, he said he wouldn't take the job unless he could do it his way. I very politely replied that it was just as well. As far as I was concerned, this was my house, my project, and my money. I then thanked him for coming and put out my hand to shake his, indicating it was time for him to leave. He ignored my hand and refused to even look at me. He took his time about leaving in his truck. I fully expected an apology from Joe, but none was offered. As he left, I requested once again that he give me a quote on tile installation only. As I still hadn't gotten that quote, I dropped by the store one day to request it from Joe in person. I found him sleeping in a chair, leaning up against the wall. When his colleagues offered to wake him, I told them not to bother, but to ask him to call me later. He never did. Another day, Joe called me from the store and said he was sending my receipt for my down payment via a painter/handyman, who could help do my small projects and possibly do the larger ones too. I did hire the handyman, and ended up paying him some $800. He overcharged me, and performed shoddy work that had to be redone by someone else. When I asked him to refund my money for the work that had to be redone, he threatened to sue me(yep)and hung up. In addition, when we were both working on projects in my master bathroom, he pushed me(a single female)into the shower, got in with me-joking about taking a shower with a perfect stranger, and physically blocked my way out. Since Issis had recommended this man, I reported his behavior to them in a written letter. I also mentioned that this was my second bad experience with folks they'd recommended, and requested once again that they give me a quote on tile installation only. Over two weeks passed, and I never received a reply. At that time, I phoned and spoke with owner, Steve Issis. He was unconcerned about my experience, extremely rude in his manner, claimed that Joe had mentioned "issues", and said he didn't believe me. In addition, he claimed ignorance of my letter, but was not interested to read it or know the facts. Instead, he shouted over me, and told me he wouldn't do business with me and would return my deposit. To be honest, that's all right with me. You can be certain I won't do business with him or his company ever again.
